AUDITION TAPE 08426 (The Hottie):
INTERVIEWER: Our next applicant calls herself the Hottie. I have to say, a lot of the girls applying for this show are playing up their looks but you are certainly up front about it.
THE HOTTIE: Its more than just a testament to my obvious beauty though. I can control and generateb fire, though it is more than just that of course. I can sense powerful flames that are far away. And flames sometimes talk to me, and tell me things. Fire likes me, and of course I like it too.
IN: So you're a pyro or something?
TH: No, I don't love fire in that sick, let me go burn down a building just to watch the flames kind of way, but I mean look at this.
The Hottie puts her hand to her lips and blows a kiss into that air, a small fire in the shape of her lips flying out into the air for a few feet before bursting into a heart that hangs in the air for a few seconds before disapating completely See, for me fire is cool.
IN: So now that we covered your powers lets talk about the other aspect of your name. I must say you certainly dress to impress.
TH: Thanks! I chose a black costume to set off my red hair and blue accents to go with my eyes. Besides, red costumes on fire powered people is
soooo cliche. I originally wanted my costume to have a skirt, but since my uncle made it to function as body armor he insisted on coverage for my legs so I went the catsuit route instead. He might have just been coming up with a reason to not send his neice out fighting crime in a mini-skirt though. It was hard enough to get him to give the boots more than 1 inch of heels. Its definately a lot sexier than the last costume he made for me, that's for sure.
IN: That's right, our viewers may not recognize you, but a few years ago you were known as Blazette sidekick to Professor Blaze, the daring super hero and the founder of the science of pyrophysics. But five years ago you dropped off the super hero scene completely. What happened?
TH: Its all my mothers fault. I got my powers when I was 13. I was at my uncle's house and at the time I didn't know he was a super hero, I just thought he was a scientist. I as exploring, I found his lab, I interupted an experiment, and
BOOM super powers. My uncle convinced my mom to let me be his sidekick, and it was a blast. Best time I ever had. But as I got older I wanted to go into heroing full time but my mom was dead set on me going to college. She convinced my uncle to do something to me that deactivated my powers. I thought they were just gone, but he had only turned them off temporarily. When I turned 21 he told me what he had done and reversed the process. That was 6 weeks ago. I did graduate though, so mom's happy.
IN: Four years seems to have made a big difference. If you hadn't told me I would never have know the Hottie and Blazette were the same person.
A file footage photo of Blazette and Professor Blaze comes up on screen and zooms in on Blazette. She is athletic, and her costume is functional in an adventurer style with lots of pockets and a leather jacket and large goggles
TH: Yeah, I was constantly going on adventures back then so I was sort of a tomboy. A few years away from that gave me time to focus on boys and fashion though, and these days I know how to do my make-up right. It also helps that my boobs finally came in. *laughs*
IN: So college was wild oats time for you eh?
TH: And how. When I was Blazette I was friends with a lot of the other sidekicks, and afterwords I kept in touch with a lot of them. And y'know sidekicks all have abs of steel.....
IN: So are any of your hook-ups heros now? I smell guest star!
TH: You never know.
IN: Speaking of which, you have years of experience fighting crime, but all of it as a sidekick. That means you are both more and less experienced than the other applicants. How do you feel about that?
TH: I think I'll be way ahead of the pack. Of course the view is pretty nice from back there.
