by the way, i'm presently in the market for a new lair with which to set up shop, one fairly remote and suited for mad sciencey stuff, but still concievably accessible by truck.

preferably not someplace i've already statted, which rules out Rapture (besides, have you seen the rent on that place?)

A happy belated birthday, Kreuzritter. It is good to see you again, though we’ll miss Psycho Mantis. Sorry, Kreuzritter, it’s not your fault. Mantis’s psychotic desire to kill us all seemed to have a strange…clarity to it. I mean, come on, if you grab a churro, sit down in front of a big screen and turn on ‘Who’s Line is it Anyway?’ you can really learn to share a mutual love of killing (Most excellent advice from the Ask a Ninja ninja). I've been enjoying the heck out of this game on Game Anyone (since I don't have a PS3).

My kludge would be an AP off of Electrical Control. This came out as legal:

Electrical Control 8 (DC 23; Autofire (interval 2, max +5))
Absorption 8 (Alternate; absorbs: energy, effect: healing; Power Magnet (800 ft.); Limited, Energy Type)

Throw in a 1 point drawback for Electrical Control: Power Loss - when without grid or electrical sources to draw from. The Power Magnet bit will allow him to suck the juice out of car batteries and generators, and since he mostly uses it to heal, the effect seems about right.

:arrow: Shoveller is what you get when you stick a guy used to playing paladins in D&D and rop him into a low-level comedy supers, and it shows. he's the sraight man, moral compass and arguably the most competant. others may get the laughs or weird looks, but when the chips are down, the doomsday weapon's lighting up and the bad guy's halfway through his monologue, that's when Shoveller steps up, rallies the team and leads the charge

:arrow: if some of Preston's feats have you scratching your head, they're from warriors and warlocks, and each fits the tenets of Gun Kata. 'Cunning fighter' lets him feint based on his attack bonus (because let's face it, preston has the charisma of a brick), 'eyes in the back of the head' grants a 360 degree awareness of what's going on (ie: it's the radius sight power as a feat), 'combat awareness' is a reskinned uncanny dodge, and 'take it in at a glance' does what it says on the tin, needing only a tenth the time to make a notice check.

:arrow: Similarly, Wordmaker also provided a way to put 'Equilibium' into your game without the use of time travel or world war 3, and that's to treat Liberia as one of those made up countries so popular in comics, with the rise of Tetragrammaton coming out of a particularly bloody civil war or local balkanization (this also means Tetragrammaton may seek to start shipping prozium to campaign city in the idea of spreading their way of life to the rest of the world.)
