I'm enjoying your work on the Invincible universe. Can't wait to see Omni Man and Allen the Alien! (I'm curious how you'll portray Allen. Will we see an earlier, less powerful version, or the more recent hulked up version?) Any plans for the newest of Invincible's foes, the powerful Viltrumite named Conquest?

-Good ol' Allen. Starting off as a hired-on guy who flies from world-to-world and fights their "Champion" to assess their capabilities, his awesome appearance (cycloptean pink dude with a smirk) and funny characterization have made him a recurring theme. He was pretty 'weak' at first (ie. much stronger than Mark, but nowhere near a Viltrumite), but after some Saiyan-esque beatdown + healing (this series takes a LOT from Dragon Ball Z), he popped up as a WAY stronger & tougher guy who's now fully capable of taking on a Nolan-level Viltrumite without dying. One of the better and more popular recurring guys in Invincible.
-Allen has two distinct versions- a 'weaker' powerhouse, and a much stronger version, though they're only separated by a PL here. Allen would school Mark pretty hard, but runs alongside your typical Viltrumite powerhouse. Like most Invincible characters, you could argue for a higher PL, but I think "Thor-level" is plenty for him. As most people who've seen my builds know, I only go above PL 12 for SERIOUS cases (Superboy, Mon-El, etc. are all PL 12, as well as the top-flight Marvel characters), which is more impressive when you consider I put most 'lesser' heroes at PL 9.
-Note a few Allen tricks that put him apart from most Flying Bricks- the low Regeneration, and the Telepathy so he can communicate in outer space.

-Kursk is another one-note villain, an enemy of the Flash-Expy Red Rush, who got hired on to beat up Invincible one time. It didn't work.
-Kursk is a generic, pretty weak Blaster, lacking extremely powerful abilities (Area Extras or Penetrating) on his Blast, and having few Skills or Feats to back him up. I chose to go with the possible 'naval submarine officer in an accident' origin since it gave me the most of either to work with. Otherwise, he's an extremely poor man's Electro.

-Doc Seismic shows up from time to time as a pretty dime-a-dozen "mad scientist" type, a failed villain in an almost Venture Brothers-esque vein. He's old, decrepit and desperate to be recognized, but it wasn't until he made friends (via his control of vibrations) with several Underground Monsters (tm) that he became a real threat. Most recently, he's led an entire army of super-beasts against the ENTIRETY of the heroes in America, capturing every single one of them and bringing them to his base. He lost, of course, but even INVINCIBLE would've been screwed if not for the timely intervention of Darkwing II and the Reanimen. He's not much on his own, but with an army like ten-dozen mini-Godzillas at his beck and call...
-Doc Seismic's pretty weak on his own, with a powerful Trip/Disintegration array, but he can't blow up PEOPLE with his tricks, just knock buildings over onto them and stuff. Otherwise, he's useless in a fistfight, and is a TOTAL glass cannon, so nobody'd be too afraid, especially hyper-durable types. The MONSTERS, on the other hand, are pretty tough. Each one is around PL 10, can move incredibly fast underground, hit with multiple limbs (most of the time), and has good enough Tremorsense to pick out super-heroes' bases and underground lairs from miles away. Also, they're huge, tough and strong. Just one is pretty scary, but the fact that there's upwards of FIFTY of the bastards makes for an epic battle.

The stats for the "Monster" are pretty generic for the really big ones, but there were various other types. You can pretty easily modify them with the following:
Big Spider Thing- Growth 12, Snare 12, Damage & Toughness 11
Magma Men- Magma Aura 5, Normal size
Rock Snake- No Limbs, higher Protection, Weaker

-The Giant has shown up twice so far, generally with the gimmick of an eight-year old boy who is now a monstrous super-heavyweight cycloptean red guy, demanding to be made President of the United States by virtue of his awesomeness. A funny little gag, in addition to being a pretty powerful guy for Mark to go against.
-The Giant's remarkably strong and tough, but has little else going for him. That'll happen when you're depicted as having the mind of a child.

-Tether Tyrant's one of the more interesting occasional Invincible villains, being a guy whose entire gimmick rests on an Evil Harness made out of Evil Bubblegum that ensnares people at range. Otherwise, he looks like a big ugly hobo, but he's also super-strong (since Mark actually FEELS his punches). It seems that his harness is kind of alive and stuff, too, but who knows if we'll ever go in-depth on him or any other guy.
-Tether Tyrant's one of the few PL 10 generic background villains, since his Snare is so effective. He can even grapple guys like Invincible with it for short periods of time, and he can slug it out as well, but he's still pretty limited.

-Monster Girl's one of the bigger supporting characters, a 29-year old girl trapped in an increasingly-younger body thanks to a Gypsy curse, who nonetheless uses her powers for good, as one of the Global Guardians' powerhouses. The search for a 'cure' to her fatal flaw has finally been found by Robot after much searching, and her character's made a nice shift from a grumpy-ass angry girl into a more noble and happy woman. At least now she can start aging normally.
-Monster Girl's a pretty good PL 10, but falls to PL 9 points-value, since like alot of half-seen Invincible characters, she hasn't been shown doing much other than conversing and fighting. Note that she doesn't have "Normal Identity" Drawback, since there appears to be nothing that keeps her from changing. She simply changes. That's something me and a lot of others have missed over the years.

-Haha, oh Battle Beast. He appeared as a random super-villain in a randomly thrown-together minion army Machinehead used against Invincible & Titan. While Mark handed the four other guys (prior builds Furnace, Tether Tyrant, Magmaniac & Kursk) their asses, Battle Beast MESSED HIM UP, and followed it up by pretty much eating Black Samson and Bulletproof alive as well. With THAT kind of epic introduction, he casually spouted off that everyone on Earth was a giant pussy, and teleported away in disgust. Greatest debut EVER. A subsequent issue has showcased him helping out (as I predicted beforehand- I mean, you set up a guy who calls out everyone on Earth for sucking, and you ALSO have a planet of uber-gods in the same universe?) Allen the Alien & Omni-Man against the Viltrumite Empire, and making a great big mess of things. But I still haven't found that issue (darn it)...
-Battle Beast is one of the TRUE heavy hitters of the Invincible U, and so gets a PL 12 set-up. He's big, strong, mean, has tons of Combat Feats, Rages, etc., just about the worst nightmare for most PCs. He's one of the only non-moustached beings in the Invincible U to EASILY beat Mark Grayson (in his PL 10 form, but still...), and he looks cool as hell. He's a demolisher, plain and simple.

-Atom Eve is pretty much the goddess of the Invincible U, being this super hot heroic redhead that shows up right away as Mark's crimefighting partner. It was pretty obvious "Shipping" was going to go on because of this, so both ended up with significant others. Mark's was a bit more successful, as his girlfriend Amber was a significant and nice character, whereas Eve kept hooking up with cheating Rex Splode, and immature William. By the end, though, they both realized they loved each other (well, Eve had been carrying the torch for eons anyways, in an aversion to the usual), and they hooked up. But since this in INVINCIBLE, written by ROBERT KIRKMAN, nothing good could ever last, and so Eve was messily murdered by the alien overlord Conquest in the most recent issue. And Kirkman promises it'll be an important death (yeah, no kidding, she's the MAIN LOVE INTEREST), and Mark is two seconds from going Spider-Man in Gwen Stacy/Aunt May mode on Conquest's ass.
-Eve, like most of the Invincible U, is a bit short on PL, but actually costs more in points. Invincible characters in general seem a lot more "fragile" and less capable than their more experienced Marvel & DC comparisons, and get their asses kicked on a REALLY regular basis. I mean, compare the Global Guardians (any team) to the Avengers, and you'll see why the GG only deserve an average PL of 9, and most of the PL 10's come up short on points. Eve, for example, is highly capable, with an extremely varied power-set (Create Object, Blast, Transform, Force Field, Flight), costing quite a lot of points, but she's best-off as a team player (especially with the Affects Others on her Field), rarely solving things on her own.

-So here's your "Basic average" Viltrumite, an extreme powerhouse of the highest order, capable of tearing down buildings, savaging Invincible with ease, and murdering the population of an entire world with a couple of his buddies. Often striking in groups of two or three, the Viltrumites are virtually unstoppable, as most of them are even more powerful than INVINCIBLE, who is the most powerful defender of Earth, bar none. Hell, ONE Alternate Mark took down the entire Global Guardians, and another only went down to Rex Splode's sacrifice play, and most of these guys are TOUGHER than they were.
-Various ones have been seen over time, but the most important are the two who fought Mark & his dad, wiping out Mark with ease and only barely beating Nolan; Anissa, the hot female Viltrumite who warned Mark to start taking over Earth now; and Conquest, the current lethally powerful guy who has been beating Mark senseless for two issues as of this time.
-For stats, the Viltrumites are nasty pieces of work, costing a swack of points, and being able to pummel every single hero on Earth one-on-one. Mark's gotten alot of Power Creep over the years, but I'm not quite sure how he measures up to the elites these days, so PL 12 seems about right. That puts them on an even keel with Allen the Alien and the Battle Beast. They're a little less powerful than Omni-Man. These stats should suit most "Common" Viltrumites easily, and possibly Anissa as well (her only real stated power is "above Mark"). Once we get to the end of the "Conquest" mini-arc, or see Anissa again, they may get separate stats. Most of the Science Skills come as a result of being from an advanced race (or at least one that stole and learned about tech).

-And to cap off the Invinci-Builds, here's Nolan Grayson, aka Omni-Man, the "Superman" of his Earth, until it was publically revealed that he was actually an alien invader, sent to take over and rule Earth for benefit of his race. After leaving Earth, unwilling to kill his own son to keep his post, he's been through the ringer, trying to absolve himself, fathering another son, getting beaten down and captured by his own people, and being sent to die. But now he's escaped, mad as hell, and who knows where his loyalties lie this time?
-A PL 14 powder-keg of anger and dynamite, Omni-Man is FREAKING SCARY, capable of dishing out horrific levels of damage at super-speed (that's a pretty high Attack Bonus for a Brick- which denotes superfast movement enough for me). He's stronger and tougher than the average Viltrumite, with a horrific +16 Toughness save (he takes an INSANE amount of punishment over the course of the series without barely reacting- buildings topple onto him and he feels NOTHING), he can go All-Out or Power Attack, he can Rage, and he's actually got some decent Skills too, particularly a high Bluff, after fooling his entire family, the Earth's superheroes, and the US Government for years.

Omni-Man is a beast! I'd be curious to see a chance meeting between him and Supes.

And for my next trick.... I'm going back to my age-old concept of building the crappiest characters of all time, especially in super-team form, with the Zodiac gang from Marvel Comics! But before that, a little look into some more silly TV show builds. Ones that perfectly supply someone with civilians or hostages in case your heroes or villains ever end up in that fabled of party-gets-together places, the bar.

A little bar... where everyone knows... your name.
