since it's not a contest with prizes or anything like that, why lock the thread? does it really matter if someone posts after the month is over as long as the artwork is appropriate to the theme? wouldn't you rather see more themed artwork work posted here instead of shutting down the thread?

That seems fair enough. My thought was that if this thread were locked it would mean more concentration on the latest Jam - we wouldn't want those to be neglected now, would we. :wink:

And on that note:
I did this drawing about a day after my original submission but decided that since the subject was so against what the original goal was (a non-static depiction of the Lawyer 'come Super in our typical style) that I wouldn't post it since my original piece was much more in the spirit of the challenge.

But, since the month is over, I'm just gonna post this one... mostly in defense of my ability as an artist since I feel like the original piece kinda caught some heat for being "rough". Though my appologies for my scanner blurring up this particular image.

So... Chibi DareDevil!!!

Hi Everyone, well... I think our first Art Challenge has been a resounding success, great images from new and old artists on the board, the October thread will be left open just in case people want to add more DD goodies (Nice bobble head by the way Carbon :D )
Keep an eye on the November Art Challenge thread as i'll be posting the challenge details tomorrow.
