I think she tried to pull a Leonidas there but, somehow, it just doesn't have the same effect. :P

True dat. They're coming up later this week when I get back from my business trip along with the Turtles, who are pretty much done, but I need to tweak Leo and Donny again. Leo needs more PP, Donny needs less, I think. I tried to keep them all at PL8/120, but I'm just not sure that's going to stick.

I have started a playtest with Nightwing and The Hand which I'll probably post similar to your recent style next weekend as well. I'm loving the rolling and playing, but I'm not a real writing mood.

Ah well, we'll just have to wait until the muse comes up with a disguise that will help her to sneak by the preadatory attentions of Real Life then.

You speak the truth, Libra. RL has been all over me recently, but I am taking today off. A little posting, a little PS3 with the older Little Thorpacolypse, a little Hot Wheels time with the younger Little Thorpacolypse, a little snuggling with Mrs. Thorpacolypse and damned be the rest of the friends, extended fam, work and Honey Do's for a day. We had about 20 people over for Halloween last night and I told them all that Thorpe's Deep was CLOSED today and will reopen with limited hours and staffing Monday.

Thanks, Jack. I'm really trying to refine the roles of the builds I'm posting and bring it together in a coherent manner. I won't have nearly as many builds here as I have on the main J-Mart site, but hopefully these will be far better, especially more so than my first 200-300 or so builds which suck.

This next week or two will be focused on Gotham and the X-Verse, along with my 3 Titans Teams. My goal, though, is to post two villains for every hero to keep a good stable of challenges to throw at them, but I doubt that occurs. As much as I love the Luthors and Stilt Man's of the world, the heroes are the ones that intrigue me the most.

Comments: If you haven't heard my express my man crush for Mr. Summers on my original site, apparently you weren't reading through it enough, but allow me to restate. I love Cyclops. He is the best leader in the comic world, IMHO. Cap is great, Grayson and Drake are really, really good too (far better than their mentor who is too tactically amazing but lacks the people skills and empathy to really lead that well) and I love Jenny Sparks, one of the few fantastic 90's characters but Cyclops tops them all. I mean, geez, Wolverine is arguably the top character in comics today and even he defers to Scott all the time. All the writers just know that Scott is THE alpha male of the X-Men. That's just how it is.

From a build standpoint, I did little in the way of changes from my last Cyclops build because he performed so well in my little JLA vs. Wendigos playtest. I dropped in a couple of new feats from W&W and Mecha and Manga but by and large, he is loaded with Leadership feats, Luck and wicked blast which he can be pinpoint accurate with or devastatingly powerful with.

In the Thorpacoverse, Scott has stepped down from leadership of the X-Men at Professor Xavier, Nick Fury and Superman's request and is now leading the Justice League. He remains heavily involved in mutant related affairs but the three men mentioned above, along with President ***** (not sure who is president of my America at the moment...could be Ahhh-nold, could be Barack, can't decide), all believe he can do even more for mutantkind by being the new face of the world's greatest super team. Professor Xavier has taken a secondary role in X-Men leadership and he, Scott and Emma are in a dispute about who should be the new overall leader. They originally all agreed on Storm, but she refused due her role as Queen of Wakanda. Emma thinks it should be Cannonball, Scott is pushing for Havok to assume the role and Xavier is remaining neutral. I guess we'll see what happens with that soon...

Hmmm - One of the best, certainly, and certainly the best the X-Men can field, but I'm not sure I'd agree that he's THE best. I'm still not quite sure who I'd give the top spot to, but my heart says 'Captain America.'

Another J-Mart Favorite hits the shelves.

I'm the best there is at what I do...but what I do isn't very nice...

However, dodging is not one of those things I am best at. As you can tell, it's kind of a weak spot in regards to my combat abilities.

Comments: You knew I couldn’t wait too much longer before I posted the old Canucklehead.

What is there left to say about Logan? He's Marvel's top selling character, his movie (which I didn't really care for, amazingly enough) made $200 million, he was rated the #1 comic character of all time by Wizard magazine and whether you love him or hate him, you can't ignore him, which is the true standard by which icons are measured.

From a build standpoint, the only thing I may rework on him is his regeneration. I may need to back up his Staggered and Disabled ranks a bit because of his healing factor takes hit from it fighting the Adamantium poisoning all the time, and I forgot that when I build Sabretooth (coming later) and in setting the frames for Deadpool, X-23 and Daken.

His role in the Thorpacoverse? Part-time X-Man, part time member of Nightwing and Cage's team, full time bad ass. And because he gets so much heat around here, just to be annoying, I am going to work him into EVERY SINGLE STORY OR FIGHT I DO FROM HERE ON OUT.

You've been warned.

Clean Up 4/25/10: While I was tweaking some of the other builds here, I figured I'd take a look at Logan as well. Nothing major, just trimmed some fat, cleaned up a few feats. Shaved 7 pp and I think I made him a better fighter in the process.

I've seen it with my own eyes. I love Wolvie, but come on, it's gotta be Superman or Batman.

Comments: I had to think long and hard about how I wanted the Bat Family to be set up in my universe since it has grown so much over the years. With Bruce still going strong on Earth-217, I debated about how I wanted to rest of the Bat Brothers to function and I decided to have Damian be Robin.

My logic was that Tim is getting near that Nightwing-y point and Bruce would see that this time instead of letting things get bad like they did with Dick. He would actually help Tim move into his new role while starting Damian’s training, with Tim’s grudging blessing. Dick, even though he's busy in Bludhaven, would contribute as well, trying to keep things smooth with Tim and Damian, and helping Bruce not kill Damian during training (which can be struggle for all of them).

As a build, he's got all kinds of potential as that DNA will not be denied, but he's still lacking a lot of power and refinement that will happen as he matures (which will be a slow, painful process). He's supremely intelligent and I think he'll eventually become the best fighter of the Bat Brothers, if not anywhere near the detective, leader or planner that Tim, Dick and Jason are.

Comments: How can you not love Alfred? Loyal butler, friend, advisor, pseudo-father, pseudo-mother, mechanic, IT support, cook, secret agent, surgeon...he's the backbone of the Bat family, period.

I could have really gone all out with him because he's done so much, I thought this pretty much covered it and I am trying to minimalist with the builds for this setting. One of the key things with Alfred, though, is that he pays for the Batcave. Doesn't seem to be much of stretch seeing as how he does most of the work on it when Master Bruce is out haunting Gotham City.

Wholeheartedly agree...
Wolverine is the bad boy everyone loves cause bad boys/jerks/a$$holes have been all the rage in America for the last several years. BUT- Scott is the consistent, capable leader and head man... you gotta love a leader who is in there body and soul- and you follow him- even if your an over angsty runt that wants to gut'em.
