Note: for those of you who cannot find this story, don't worry...I read it as a reprint when I was 10 or 12...so 34-36 years ago. Also, my favorite period for the X-Men (original series) was the Neal Adams period, when Angel had his "suspenders" uniform.

Woodclaw wrote:As I said before, the big problem with Xavier is that many authors seem not to realize that giving a highly intrusive mentor/father figure to a team of full grown-ups is simply silly. Having someone like Xavier on the first team was a necessity (they were all around 17 at the time) and it worked for a while with the New Mutants, but after that it doesn't make much sense.
The funny thing is that over the years practicly every team leader of the various X-teams had clashed with Xavier over how to do things (particulary memorable Cannonball and his Closed fist vs Open hand speech), but the idea that maybe retiring or stop meddling with his student lives never touched his mind.

I recall that, during his initial run as Death/Archangel, he had an Apocalypse-installed Mind Shield, which went so far as to allow him to resist Rogue's touch during Inferno. I'm not clear if that's still around or not, given the back-and-forth on his Alternate Form. If it hasn't been shown in recent years, feel free to disregard.

(hubba hubba) I think Guido put it best, when he tricked her into holding her breath and holding her arms just above her head. Not for any benefit of hers, but because it sure made him feel better to look at.
Of course he got slapped right afterwords.

Anyways with all seriousness, its a nice build. But i hate to put all my eggs under one basket, and if you didn't have the "Wide" Extra there i might suggest moving her flight or her forcefield outside the array.

Woodclaw wrote:(well actually there are also Mime and Changeling, but knowledge of them is limited at best).
Lorna might not be on many people lists for the hottest X-woman ever, but given that she has natural green hairs I think that Distracting looks might be an appropriate addendum
