Builders Notes:
Zathras is one of 10 beings , which are caretakers of the great machine on Epsilon III. And perhaps one of the most mysterious, nothing is known about their race. But it is obvious that they are long lived and have great Technical affinity. And I have taken a few liberties creatively with the race.

never run out of time, there is infintie time. you are finite, zathras is finite. This... this is wrong tool. No, no, never use this.

you are the beginning of the story, and the middle of the story, and the end of the story, that begins the next great story.

LOL love Zathras quite possibly one of the best characters in Sci Fi ever made.

Nice build but there is one minor nitpick, Immunity to Starvation & Thrist requires 1 rank not 2.

"It's a calm, pleasant environment. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get upset here."
– David Corwin interview with Cynthia Torqueman (within earshot of Ivanova).

David Corwin (PL 4/39pp)
Race: Human, Profession: C&C Tech, POB: Boston, Mass., Eyes: Blue, Hair: Brown

Abilities [12pp]: Strength 12 (+1), Dexterity 12 (+1), Constitution 12 (+1), Intelligence 14 (+2), Wisdom 12 (+1), Charisma 10
Saves [4pp]: Toughness +1, Fortitude 2 (+3), Reflexes 1 (+2), Willpower 1 (+2)
Combat [12pp]: Base Attack +3, Base Defense +3, Knock Back 0, Initiative +1
Attack (dc): Unarmed +3 (dc 16), PPG +3 (dc 21)
Skills [6pp]: Athletics 3 (+4), Craft: Electronics 2 (+4), Concentration 4 (+5/+7), Computers 2 (+4), Diplomacy 1 (+1), Knowledge: Civics 1 (+3), Knowledge: Physical Science 4 (+6), Notice 2 (+3), Search 2 (+4)
Feats [5pp]: EF Rank 1 (Ensign or greater depending on season), Equipment 3, Keeping it Cool*
Equipment [11ep]: PPG Gun [Blast 6, drawback: lethal], Comlink

* New feats: Keeping it cool.
Some people can just handle stress better in combat situations, he gains a +2 bonus to Concentration or will checks while under fire or when things get tough and chaotic.

Builders’ Notes:
David’s rank varies on what season you use him in. During season 1 he is nothing more than a C&C Tech (ensign), rising to Lt. JG during season 2, and then a full Lieutenant during season 3. Personally, despite, his few appearances through out seasons 1 through 5, I personally think the character is a rather important one. I don’t see how C&C could run without him, especially by season 3 and 4 when he is literally taking on the role as a “Second in Command” as Ivanova and Sheridan roles change and expand.

B5: Lorien!

Postby JoshuaDunlow » Mon Jul 12, 2010 7:49 pm

Image

"...To live on as we have is to leave behind joy and love and companionship because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal."
– Lorien

Lorien, The First one (PL 16/ 456 pp)
Concept / Race: First Born, Trade Offs: - 4 Attack/+4 DC, -4 Defense/+4 Toughness

Abilities [90pp]: Strength 10/34 (+0/+12), Dexterity 10 (+0), Constitution 30/42 (+10/+16), Intelligence 40 (+15) , Wisdom 40 (+15), Charisma 20 (+5)
* Situational: Add +24 Strength/+12 Constitution in True Energy Form

Saves [30pp]: Toughness +10, Fortitude 5 (+15), Reflexes 10 (+10), Willpower 15 (+30)
* Situational: Add +6 to Toughness and Fortitude in True Energy Form

Combat [48pp]: Base Attack +12, Base Defense +12 (+6 flat), Knock Back - 5, Initiative +20
* Situational: Subtract 4 from Attack and Defense when in True Energy Form.

Attack (dc): Unarmed +12 (dc 15)

Skills [31pp]: Concentration 20 (+35), Diplomacy 15 (+20), Knowledge: Earth Sciences 20 (+35), Knowledge: History 20 (+35), Knowledge: Life Sciences 20 (+35), Knowledge: Physical Sciences 20 (+35), Notice 20 (+35), Search 20 (+35)

Feats [22pp]: Adoration 2, Assessment, Benefit (status 4, first one), Eidetic Memory, Fearless, Improved Initiative 5, Inspire 3, Jack of All Trades, Omniscience 3, Well Informed

Powers [234pp]:
First One Physiology 30 [Passive Container; Innate]
· Comprehend 8 [Languages 4, Animals 2, Plants 2]
· Immortality 34 [Immunity 10 (aging, disease, poison; Space Worthy) + Regeneration 21 (Ability 3, Bruised 3, Unconscious 3, Injured 3, Staggered 3, Disabled 5, Resurrection 1, Extra: True Resurrection; PF: Persistent, Regrowth)]
· Super Senses 6 [Cosmic Awareness (radius, extended x 3)]
· Morph 4 [Any humanoid; Extra: Continuous]
· “True Energy Form” Insubstantial 4 [Extra: Affects Corporeal, Continuous]+ Additional Limbs 5 [Multiped] + Growth 12 [Continuous]

Vast Psychic Powers [Variable Power 12 (psychic descriptor, multiple powers)]
· Lorien can develop any number of powers, as long as it does not exceed rank 20, or 60 power points in cost. I base most variable powers off of how expensive I want a power to cost, when compared to the characters power level. It helps me keep things into perspective. Besides Power Levels are quite different in scale.

Builder’s Notes:
Let’s face it, this is one of the builds that technically counts as a PL X character. But I took it under myself to at the very least try to put Lorien down into statistics we can all enjoy, especially since many people have asked for this particular build. Now, granted these stats are only in his Physical sapien form. He has an energy form, which is very much similar in appearance to the Vorlons except on a greater scale. They are extremely huge beings.

I also decided to include several rules which I created for my Godlike setting, they came in very handy to cover situations I feel that Lorien could do. Granted this is a Version 1.1 I guess you can say, the more I refine this build the better it will get. As we know from the shows, Lorien cannot create life but he can bring someone back from the brink of death. He can stop time that is quite evident by what little we see of his abilities. At the same time I tried to be as frugal as possible with someone like this. I hope it satisfies everyone.

did a darned fine job with lorien too. Id grant Loriens one id never even think to stat much like the vorlons themselves.

hell the only first ones id stat would be the shadows and thats because it was proven that they could be killed. it took the station being converted into a trap, amassive surge of electricity that nearly overloaded the reactor, and the last shard of another vorlon on top of the stations weapons array to kill just one of them.

even koshes death can be played up to a plot device in the end. Lorien basically is one of those come and go as he pleases pass on the info and leave just as mysteriously as he came.

Interesting name for the powers, really

Anyway, my congratulations for this build it's very interesting, albeit a little over the top.

Thanks, this is just one of those exercises in. "Can it be done?" possibily. And i agree that vorlons are one of those, "use sparingly' please or overload your game with too much power.

Indeed, i cannot think of anyone else in the series that would be over the top. I just remember a few request to see him, even though he's a walking plot device/trait X character.

I think Woodclaw was commenting on the power you names "Immorality" instead of "Immortality."
