Secret: If the location of where he performed the empowering ritual is discovered, it would be easy to destroy the magic circle used. This would drop him to PL 10, lower his spells each 3 ranks and the Enhanced Dodge, Enhanced Parry and Protection of his Shadow Veil each by 3 ranks.

:arrow: Shadow Lord is the great-great-great-great-great cousin of Shadowstrike, the black sheep of the family and mad. If he were to discover her existance, he would track her and her mother down to slay them. He has a lot of raw power at his disposal and can perform rituals of up to 35pp when needed.

Description of Powers: Shadow Lord comes from a long line of shadow magic users. Yet he has enhanced his own power through a dark ritutal, granting him a lot of raw power at unknown cost. He can see in any lighting and naturally blend into shadows, sense magic and summon forth a powerful veil of shadows around himself to shield him from harm and slow any falls. But his true power comes from his shadow magic and various spells.

From a powerful blast of solid shadows which also steal some toughness from its victims, blanketing up to a 1k foot radius in deep shadows, creating massive shapes out of shadows tougher than titanium, trapping targets in bonds of solid shadow and even directly stealing a target's shadow essense to weaken them. He can step through shadows to appear anywhere else shadows on, anywhere on Earth. But his most dangerous spell is a shadow curse which drains the lifeforce from someone, leaving them vulnerable before it kills them.

History:
Simple Beginnings, Different Culture
Born in 1890 in Germany to parents who worked as farmers, only using their shadow magic to help them make life a little easier, Evander never understood why they didn't use their powers to have more in life. Helping out from the age 6, he focused more on his magical training and always dreamed of having a good life. Learned and intelligent, he had few if any friends, his arrogance driving most kids his age away. 14 years old and his world changed, as his parents packed up and moved to the United States of America to try and give him a better life.

The culture took some adjusting to, but with all the opportunities before him, he knew the good life wasn't far behind. But the work was just as hard, as his parents toiled away in a factory and he was made to go to school. By the age of 18 he had had it with this "new world" and their promises. His parents health worsened thanks to the coal dust in the factory, while he watched the rich get richer. He took to using his shadow magic to steal, going after the wealthy and others whom he considered corrupt. But by the age of 23, he was alone in the world. His parents died coughing and he vowed to take revenge on all those abused the lower class.

Shadows Fall
The owner of the factory where his parents worked was the first, struck by what appeared to be a wasting disease which killed him in days. The CEO of a railroad company known for forcing its workers into 16+ hour workdays was next. He walked off a factory walkway when it was suddenly blanketed in deep shadows. This went on for several years, til finally his extended family located him and took action.

Facing the black sheep of the family, they bound him and with a powerful ritual sentanced him to a dimension of shadows in a state of suspended animation, aware but unaging. Raging against the injustice of his punishment, of how the corrupt were allowed to live off the sweat and blood of others, he began to sink into madness. With nothing else to do, he began to focus his mind, mentally training in his shadow magic, hoping to increase his power and break free, to enact his revenge.

Shadows of a Blood Moon
Decades pasted and the world went on, while Evander languised in otherworldly prison, his power growing along with his madness. Til finally his chance came, his magic strong enough to break free, with the aid of a rare event, a blood moon. Shattering the ritual which bound him for so long, he ripped a hole back into the universe and fleed to the nearest city. Finding the town ledger, records of his relatives all were there. But the ritual had taken a toll on most of them, all but one family line had died out years ago. And all records of that line ended over 20 years ago, when they moved to parts unknown.

His true revenge denied to him for now, he sought out newpapers and other records, means of finding out who the corrupt rich were in this new era. The technology he saw and the sights seen shocked him, the manner of dress was unlike anything seen in his day, the technology so far beyond his own time it appeared to be like magic. But nothing would deter him from his task, as records of a man named Lex Luthor repeatedly showed up and tales of his corruption drove Evander to take action.

New Era, Old Evil
Targeting the evil man, he was stopped by a man in red and blue who could fly. Fighting against this man proved easy at first, his magic blasting the superhuman as easily as others. But he proved too powerful for Evander to take. Subdued, he was once more locked up, this time in a prison of mortal design. The enchantments designed to suppress his magic proved to be a minor obstacle, as he broke out and was on a rampage fighting Superman once more as he went after Luthor again. Locked up in a more powerful cell, it took him weeks to design a ritual powerful enough to break free, using a stolen spoon to etch the symbols on his prison cell wall.

But with the likes of Brainiac, Lex Luthor and Darkseid out there, he was no more than a footnote to the people of Metropolis, a minor threat at best. This time he would plan, this time he would be prepared for Superman and to strike down the corrupt Lex Luthor, who reminded him of the man who drove his parents to death all those years ago. Hiding out and designing a ritual of epic proportions, months pasted without him being seen. Til finally he was ready, the ritual completed and his power amplified several fold.

Next time he faced Superman it was a much more one-sided battle, as his magic burned into the Man of Steel's flesh and sapped his strength. As he was down for the count, the newly renamed Shadow Lord made his way to a shocked Luthor, only to find himself bound in a golden lasso before he could deliver the killing strike. Wonder Woman was visiting Metropolis and it would be hard to miss someone crashing through buildings and slamming in the street. Weakened from his fight with Superman, he was no make for the Amazon Princess who subdued him with ease. Only for him to escape through the shadows, his voice echoing out that he would be back and slay all corrupt rich people who lived off the sweat and blood of others. Starting with Lex Luthor.

Description: Evander is an average man of German decent, with a normal build and muscle tone. His skin is pale from living in shadows for so long, with minor scars on his arms. His eyes have turned black, madness shining within them, while his black hair is kept short but shaggy.

He always is seen in black robes with a hood to hide his face, with a pair of black shoes. He wears a ring topped by a black onyx on his right hand.

Greed, Power: James is driven by his desire to have the wealth he lacked in his early youth. He sees it as a means towards true power and the means to control others.
Addiction: Almost constantly seeing into the future is painful and James is addicted to pain killers. Without a regular dose, he has a harder time processing all he sees.
Hatred: James hates any corporation which takes advantage of the little guy and harms them. Like they harmed his mother. He will use all his connections and power to take such corporations down.
Honor: Despite his criminal connections and activities, he will not harm normal citizens and the innocent. If there is even a chance of that happening, he will surrender or call of a job rather than risk it.
Relationship: Wife, Renee and daughter, Anna
Secret: His criminal connections and activities have thus far been kept hidden from the public and authorities. If they were revealed, he could lose everything.

:arrow: A powerful precognitive character who tends to work behind the scenes, he can hold his own in a fight when needed thanks to his powers.

Description of Powers: Glimpse is a powerful precog, capable of seeing seconds, days or even months into the future at a time. He has learned how to use his future sight to give him an edge, making him more aware of threats, changing trends and areas of science and even always knowing the right thing to say or do. Others find him a stonewall when trying to deal with him, as he can always glimpse the future and see what they are planning on doing or how they will react to something.

His most dangerous use of this power is advanced combat precognition, always able to see a split second into the future and adjusting his actions and tactics appropriately. He can seem to simply walk through a barrage of bullets unharmed, sidestep a punch or move out of the way of an explosion at the last moment. These same glimpses into the future allow him to easily target foes with any attack, as he sees where they are moving and even what they hide behind.

History:
Born in Hell
James born to a struggling mother in Hell's Kitchen in New York City. As soon as he was old enough, he helped out around the house. When old enough to get a job, he worked harder than anyone would except of a child so young. He taught himself everything, reading all he could and never going to school. Yet he seemed to have a gift of knowing things before they happened, which only got stronger as he grew older.

Exposure to toxic chemicals when she was pregnant with James, had both made his mother sick and her son a metahuman, a mutant. His precognitive powers became stronger during his mid-teens, soon he was making money betting on races, games, even dealing in stocks and always coming out ahead. Soon it got him in trouble, the bookie he placed bets through was losing a fortune to this punk. He needed to be sent a message. His goons were sent to rough him up, telling him to end his dealings or reveal his secrets to their boss. It didn't work out, he had already seen them coming and was ready.

Sidestepping each strike, seeing a split second before they would land, he wore the goons out and then kicked them while they were down. "Tell your boss, there is someone new in town and he isn't to be messed with. I will know if you plan to come after me again. Next time I will end this. Good night." were all they heard as he walked out of there, not a scratch on him. But despite all the money he was making, things in his life took a turn for the worse.

Darkness Growing Inside
James wanted a better life for him and his mother, the drive to get money being only a part of it. Yet his mother's illness took a turn for the worse, the cancer turning more agressive. The best doctors he could hire couldn't do anything more than ease her pain some. 3 months after entering the hospital, she passed on, the strain on her too much to take any longer. James sank into a depression for a short while, before snapping out of it and vowing to find out who had disposed of the chemicals which made her sick.

He was able to use a combination of his powers and connections to finally trace the chemicals back to the source. A company run by a family, the O'Hern, who were payed to properly dispose of dangerous chemicals and waste. Rumors for years told of how they just dumped them anywhere they thought they could get away with it. Including in the back alleys and sewers in the Hell's Kitchen area. He would have his revenge, but in his own time and way. He began using his powers, buying up stocks in the company when they were low and in a matter of months he held controlling shares.

Sitting on the board of trusties, he not only wheeled and dealed his way further into the company, he caught the eye of the daughter of the company owner, Renee O'Hern. Dating, despite her father's objections, within a year they were engaged. Intimidation and attempted hits on him all failed, only a month after their wedding her father died from an unknown illness. Strangely James was named as the new CEO of Clean Waste, something which he could use on his way up in the world.

Rise of a Giant
With the aid of his powers and experience, James was able to buy out other companies and set up dummy corporations to funnel funds through. Within a couple years he had a business empire, one which he could manipulate the world through. He hired criminals and thugs, all sent out with plans to sabotage his business rivals and intimidate witnesses, nothing was beyond his to plan out and execute. Although he always went after corrupt corporations which didn't care about the little guy.

Yet he kept up the facade of an honest business and family man to the world, Renee and his marriage going well and their daughter having turned 11 recently. But this young girl, along with his criminal activities being dealt a blow by the new heroine Lightning Blade, may prove to be his downfall. For his little girl, Anna, was an awakening metahuman, a telepath who was catching peaks into her daddy's mind and becoming uneasy around him.

Description:
James is an attractive man with an athletic build and muscle tone, sporting a light tan. He keeps his white hair trimmed and neat, while his crimson eyes seem to gaze beyond what he is looking at. As a corporate CEO, he keeps himself neat and always in the best suits and outfits,even when relaxing with his wife and daughter.

Ok Psi this is the first time I've been back to the ATT for awile and your character Glimpse is one cool MM, who know maybe if life starts to get settled down some I'll be able to re-start my thread... I picked up the new book at Gen Con and have only looked at it.

:arrow: A speedster revamped from Freedom City for the DC Universe. Her past is a mystery which you can use in any way you chose.

Description of Powers: Zipper can tap into the Speed Force, on a lesser level than the Flash though. She can move at speeds up to 125k mph, do a month's work in a minute and react with such speed only another speedster has a chance of responding before her. She generates a frictionless aura around herself, making her immune to friction heat. Using her speed she can easily avoid attacks except from the highly skilled and strike over a dozen foes in the blink of an eye.

She has learned how to tap into the natural vibrations she generates at such speeds, both to strike targets with intense vibrational force and even cause objects to fall apart or weaken due to sympathetic vibrations she induces in them. She has only begun to stratch the surface of her true potential.

History:
Unknown Origin, Undecided Fate
Alexis was left on the steps of an orphanage in Keystone city, no one having seen who dropped her off, no note left in the basket with her. Growing up with no past, she always seemed in a hurry to find a future she could call her own. Agile and quick on her feet, she got into trouble as she got older, sneaking into places she wasn't supposed to be and taking things which weren't hers. Despite all this, she was in the top of her class, a fast learner who breezed through her classes with ease.

Which only drew the attention of the popular girls, who decided to make an example out of her. Walking back to the orphanage after school, she was ambushed by 5 girls, hiding their faces with ski masks. Dragged into an alley, she was tied up and taken to the freight yard, laid down on the tracks and then watched from a distance as they wishes to see her cry, then they would free her with a warning to stop making them look bad.

Too bad they never checked the train schedule, as not 10 minutes later they all ran for their lives as a train came barreling down the tracks. The brakes failed, rapidly rusted by unknown means. While a visiting Superman worked to stop the out of control train, the Flash came blurring through and got Alexis out of the way at the last second. Moving at such speeds, something inside Alexis was triggered, something which would take days for her to fully notice. Her life saved and the train stopped, Alexis thanked the Flash for saving her and set off for the orphanage, not wishing to draw more trouble to herself by turning the other girls in.

Tiny Spark Awakens Power
Alexis didn't realize it at first, she just thought things were easier for her, as she was finishing even the most complex tasks quicker. But by the 3rd day it was hard to ignore, as she found herself easily outrunning the bus to school without even breaking a sweat. As the day moved on, she began to freak out, people, things around her appeared to be moving in slow moving and finally appeared to stop. Crying to herself outside, she was shocked when someone actually talked.

The Flash, just standing there like it was no big deal. "Seems we have a lot to talk about." were the only words out of his mouth as he picked her up and in seconds they were standing in the Flash Museum. "Okay, young lady. Just who are you? Because not just anyone would respond to the Speed Force like you have." She began to explain being an orphan, just dropped off by someone with not even a note to tell who she was. With no leads on the matter, Wally could only turn to Batman on the matter, in the hopes he could dig something up.

With the Flash's help, Alexis was able to slow back down to where the normal world was moving once more. Freaked out, she asked for help, to learn how to control this power of hers. Seeing her situation, he did the only thing he could think of. He contacted the Watchtower and helped set her up with her own room, a place to stay while she learned to safely tap into the Speed Force without pushing herself too far. With the new speed she was able to do things at, school was a breeze, even if she can't get away with even minor pranks with Martian Manhunter as one of her teachers.

Description:Alexis is a highly atttractive young woman in her late teens, with the kind of curves that draw attention from even adults. Her skin is fair with only minor scars on her arms from past adventures. She keeps her red hair only down to her shoulders, while her green eyes show a gleam of intelligence and mischieviousness behind them.

Alexis tends to wear tennis shoes, blue jeans and shirts most of the time, with no jewelry or make-up. As Zipper, she wears a black and green costume with a mask over half her face, design to withstand the speeds she can move at.

Thanks, tried to think of a way to make a character who was a precog and mastermind style villain without stepping on the toes of Luthor and his ilk. Glad to see you back, hope you are able to restart your thread.

Description of Powers: Blur's only power is the ability to blur her outline and features, making it harder to clearly see or target her with visual senses. Although she does seem to have an undocumented ability to rapidly learn things and a natural fighting instinct.

History:
Simple Life, Simple Desires
Lisa grew up with simple plans, to run her own business, to find the man of her dreams and marry, and to have a family together and die old. She had to work hard to get what she wanted, earning a scholarship to college due to her grades. There she met Harold, the man she would marry. Getting a degree in literature, she settled down in Star City and opened a bookstore, Harold being a substitute teacher. Life was good and things seemed like they would only stay that way.

But plans have a way of never going as wanted. 4 years together with Harold and her bookstore was a hit, allowing them a comfortable lifestyle. But the lives of normal people hardly matter to those driven by greed. Illegally transporting dangerous chemicals through the city, poor containment caused a leak which burned through the breaks. Crossing the street with Harold to their favorite restauraunt, the truck came out of nowhere, Harold pushing Lisa out of the way at the last second.

The splashing chemicals from the containers hit Lisa, although only a small amount which left her unharmed. Harold wasn't so lucky, having been hit head on by the truck, snapping his neck from the impact with the street. Lisa could only watch and sit on the sides as the police showed up, taking her statement and sending her to the hospital for a checkover. With a clean bill of health, she went home, the only thoughts running through her mind being how Harold saved her and how some rich scumbags had taken the love of her life from her.

New Desires, New Purpose
Days passed without change, Lisa still in shock over the death of Harold and having a friend watch over the store. Only when she went out for a walk did things change and change bigtime. Walking in the autumn crisp air, a man came out of nowhere with a knife, threatening her. Just the thought that some selfish creep like this had taken her husband from her was all it took to break down the dam within her mind.

Reacting to the chemicals reflexively, she caused her outline to suddenly blur, freaking out the guy, unable to clearly see his victim anymore. In a crazed fury, she began to beat the crap out of him, kicking and punching him til he couldn't move anymore. Only the sound of sirens shocked her back to normal, as the police arrived to find her standing over a man holding a large knife. Taking her statement, she was sent home, the female officer being one of those who showed up just days ago and recognized her.

But she had other ideas, ones which she would enact. Green Arrow, Black Canary and the likes, they couldn't be everywhere at once. This city needed more heroes and she would become one. Taking courses in multiple forms of martial arts, she trained with a rare intensity and drive. Taking night courses, she learned advanced first aid, basic investigation skills and
more all with one purpose. She honed her body and mind over 3 years, til she felt she was ready. Now it was time for the scum of the city to meet Blur.

Description: Lisa is an attractive woman in a "girl next door" kind of way. She has a lithe build with good muscle tone and a light tan. She keeps her brown hair short, just above her shoulders, while her brown eyes can show compassion or an intense fury.

She tends to wear simple blouses, skirts and slack, and tennis shoes or 1" heels. She wears little make-up and only a pair of earrings. As Blur she wears a light grey shirt, blue jeans and a pair of tennis shoes, while wearing a black mask over her eyes and nose to hide her identity, not sure if her blur effect is enough.

Description of Powers: Rapidfire is a trained marksman with pistols. He can make shots to slow or stop pursuers without lasting injury, inflicting distracting pain, literally knock one or many people off their feet and send them flying, perfect aim to shoot pennies or other small targets out of the air at any distance, rapidly fire his pistol and more accurately hit targets to inflict greater injuries or damage.

Due to the experimental chemicals he was exposed to, he can move at speeds up to 64k mph, rapidly perform tasks and avoid attacks, even dashing out of the way of explosions. Using this speed he can rapidly aim at a target, greatly increasing the odds of hitting no matter how fast or agile they may be.

History:
Raised to Raise Hell
James' family was definately unusual, old fashioned robbers in the style of western age legends like Billy the Kid. Living in the mountains of Montana, he was taught how to fire a pistol before he could talk. Trick shots, accuracy at a distance, non-lethal shots to disable opponents, by the age of 9 he was a highly skilled marksman. At the age of 12 he went on his first train robbery, the authorities caught off-guard by their use of horses instead of something high tech.

By the age of 16 his family had moved 7 times, from one hideout to another, never leaving evidence behind. Living this way, it was a thrill for James and he coudln't imagine any other way of life. But his cousin Ryan would be the family's downfall. 21 years old now and on another rountine job, this one hired to do by some unknown billionare, everything was perfect with no trouble in sight. Til a guard pulled a blaster on Ryan, who shot the man dead on the spot. Seeing this, the other guards opened fire and more than one of his relatives was injuried, escaping back to their current hideout just ahead of the authorities.

As the feds began to circle in their copters, Ryan's own father shot him dead on the spot for his stupidity. Hearing gunfire, the feds opened fire on them, James was the only one to get out of the bloodbath which ensued. Seeing everyone he cared about taken from him, he vowed to teach the government a lesson. One which they would never forget.

Path Paved in Pain
Hitting banks and federal buildings, James seemed unstoppable by the normal police, yet heroes weren't brought in as he never killed. Corporations and labs funded by the government were fair game, as were those who used money and connections to take homes from others. He wasn't Robin Hood, not by a long shot, using the funds he amassed to continue his private war on those who had taken things too far.

3 years after his private war started, James hit a place which he heard had some new gear he could use. S.T.A.R. Labs didn't know what hit them, as he subdued the guards and was deep into the building by the time Superman arrived to help. But James wouldn't go down without a fight. Opening fire on the Man of Steel, his bullets bounced off and ricocheted into a beaker of unknown chemicals, coating him in the substance. Screaming out as it burned into his body, he pasted out as the pain became too much for him to handle.

Change Forged in Fire
Waking up in a hospital bed, he was informed that 5 years had pasted since he fell into a coma. Despite this, his skin, his very muscles, felt like they were on fire. When a guard was called in, the man didn't even have time to react as James took his gun with superhuman speed. Getting out of there without incident was on his mind, as he escaped into a closet down to the hall and changed into doctor's scrubs. Without a single shot, he escaped the authorities and was back on the streets.

One of his hideouts on the outskirts of Metropolis was still undiscovered. Clothes, pistols, ammo and all the essentials, just what he needed to continue his private war. But no sooner had he suited up then Superman came busting in. Moving with incredible speed, he was still no match for the hero, even his best shots being nothing as they bounced off Superman like raindrops on an umbrella. Pulling a dirty trick, he threw dirt in Superman's eyes and hightailed it out of there.

And by hightailed it, I mean he literally left burnmarks on the ground as he ran faster than he ever imagined. Out of range of his invulnerable opponent, he remembered news stories from Keystone City. The Flash lived there, someone who probably was faster than James but with his gun skills he should be able to more than even the odds. A new place of operations and targets, with someone to give him a challenge whom he should have a real chance again. Sounded like a dream come true for the old fashioned robber.

Time and time again he has caused trouble for the Flash, but always gives up when innocents are endangered. He would prove that his family's code was a good one, that no one has to die even when faced with a robbery, that material goods aren't worth anyone's life, either those being robbed or those doing the robbing.

Description: James is an above average looking guy, able to blend in when he chooses, with an average build but good muscle tone. He has a deep tan from spending so much time outside, with various small scars earned during his training. He keeps his black hair trim and short, while his blue-gray eyes show cunning to those who gaze into them.

Out in public he tends to wear plaid shirts, blue jeans and leather boots. He tends to wear full cowboy attire when operating as Rapidfire, old fashioned shirt, jeans and boots, with a Lone Ranger style mask to hide his identity. He always has his revolver holstered at his side, but hidden under his jacket.

History:
Boredom Leads to New Interests
Faye Hunter was always a genius, excelling in school and sending a lot of her free time tinkering with computers. She wasn't picked on for her intelligence, just ignored. Feeling invisible can do strange things to a person's mind. Faye began to delve into the underground world of hackers, loving the power she had and the recognition from her peers. It wasn't long before she moved beyond harmless pranks to hacking corporations and selling secrets, the thrill of pulling one over on such powerful businesses driving her on.

Replacing her computers and building new ones, making programs to aid her hacking, she dug deeper into cyberspace and found hidden secrets beyond her dreams. And such things were valueable. By the age of 16 she had built up several private Swiss bank accounts with millions, tracing her activities proving difficult at best. But sooner or later she would get caught, they was always someone better out there, someone with more experience and skill.

Upgrade or Perish
17 and graduating high school, her parents never let her skip a grade in fear that it would hurt her social development. If they only knew. She had discovered a top secret file on a helmet designed to allow direct connection of the human brain to any computer. Setting up a fake address, she was easily able to trick the shipment of the prototype to her. A dream come true, she would experience the internet as no human had before.

There was a reason it was a prototype, a big flaw hadn't been worked out yet and they had been shipping it to get the flaw finally fixed. Trying on the helmet, when Faye finally turned it on, her mind was nearly fried. Waking up, she was connected to computers like never before. She could understand them and directly link to them with just her mind. This was more than she had hoped for! It would give her an edge no other hacker possessed. Her services to the rich and corrupt would be in even more demand. Too bad about the prototype, it was nothing but scrap metal now.

Trouble Forseen in the Stars
18 and finally heading off to the college, she knew with her mind she could get perfect grades in the class and still have time to run her hacker for hire services. Moving to Star City, she wished to put some distance between her and her parents, less connections for the feds to use against her the better. More than once she has had to physically go into a building to access secure computers for her clients, barely avoiding capture at the hands of Green Arrow and Black Canary time and again.

20 years old and with funds in the low billions now in her Swiss bank accounts, she was able to keep herself from being tracked down and caught. Both due to skill and more than a little bit of luck. But she knows that everyone's luck runs out sometimes, thus she is doing bigger and more risky jobs to set herself up for life before turning 22. Now if only the local heroes would leave her alone.

Description: Faye is half-Japanese with exotic features, a lithe build and normal muscle tone. Her eyes are a deep purple, while she wears her black hair shoulder length, with several streaks of purple she has added to it. She always wears her glasses, being half blind without them.

Faye tends to wear simple shirts, slacks or skirts and tennis shoes, being a tomboy. She never wears make-up or jewelry and has no costume as Hacker, wearing a simple black mask to hide her identity when out on a job with a pair of gloves.

Description of Powers: Eve is a clone based on Power Girl and Superman's DNA, a true powerhouse. She possesses super-strength almost on par with Wonder Woman, is invulnerable, even tougher than Superboy, possesses several of the enhanced senses of Superman, super-speed and flight and powerful heat vision. She has only just begun to tap into her heritage though and could develop to be as powerful as Superman someday.

History:
Secrets Within Secrets
Cadmus' long-term plans, the creation of Superboy, weren't the only secrets being kept. For within the organization another group had their own plans, ones to make a pure Kryptonian clone using Superman's DNA and one others. They only had to wait and keep their resources hidden. The appearance of Power Girl was more than they could have hoped for. Gaining a blood sample after her first major fight, they began the task of cloning their pure Kryptonian. One which could become as powerful, if not more powerful, than even Superman himself.

Her programing gave her basic knowledge of human society and culture, along with some combat skills to compenstate for her inexperience. Almost 2 years it took to grow her, in a hidden lab just outside Smallville, til the project suffered a major setback. The main Project Cadmus scientist discovered their subtrefuge and the lab, trying to destroy the clone but only succeeding in free her from her tank.

World, Meet a Teen Power Girl
All those assembled could only stand and stare, a naked teen with a body like a younger Power Girl was too much for their male libedos. Decking one of them and stealing his white coat, she took off by smashing through the roof, unsure of which way to go. By either luck or pure chance, she ended up on the Kent farm and hid in their barn. Martha found the poor girl and was able to calm her down long enough to hear her story.

Getting the poor girl some clothes and food, Eve didn't really know where she came from, only having a name stuck in her head. With her powers and how she reacts to Kryptonite, it is obvious she is a clone based on Clark's DNA. With the help of Conner, she has quickly learned how to control her powers better, not breaking doors when she opens them or tearing up the ground when she runs. With the help of Batman, an identity as Beth Kent, another cousin of Clark's, was set up and now she goes to school with Conner, when not training or fighting the super villains who has started showing up more regularly in Smallville.

Description: Beth is an extremely attractive young woman, with a very curvacious figure and athletic muscle tone. She has fair skin with nothing to mar her appearance. She keeps her blonde hair shoulder length, while her blue eyes show a gentle nature but can be driven into a fury.

She wears simple blouses, skirts and flats most of the time. In her identity as Eve she wears a variation on Power Girl's costume, blue with a red cape and yellow boots.

Insanity: Amanda suffers from a fractured mind, touching too close into the true nature of the universe and reality. She is insane and will lash out for no apparent reason at things which only she can sense. Also her memories sometimes are hard to access, coming in bits and pieces.
Identity: Due to her repeated rampages in Smallville, she is public known as an insane superhuman.
Rage: Any insult will set her off, flying into a rage where she lashes out at everything with her telekinesis. Only being subdued or affected by a power which can calm her will end the rage.
Weakness: She is weak to being exposed to any form of reality manipulation and illusions, suffering another degree of failure when saving against them.

Description of Powers: Mindfury forced her mind to try and comprehend the true nature of the universe and it backfired on her. Driven insane, she can't feel fear and has gained an extreme form of telekinesis. Able form a powerful force field around herself and fly thousands of miles per hour, the threat of her powers manifest in the form of red ribbons of energy. From the power to move thousands of tons or holding a target still, manipulating nerves to inflict intense pain, choking some with deadly force and firing blast of telekinetic force which can tear apart even the most invulnerable of targets. But the true threat manifest when she is insulted and flies into a rage, unleasing destructive force over a large area til calmed or subdued.

History:
Stars and Destiny
A young girl staring out at the stars every night, who would have thought it would lead to something much more. For as Amanda stared up at the night sky, she wondered things few will ever find the answer. What was the true nature of the universe, where did it all come from and what is it all leading to? Reading every book she could get her hands on, she devoured them with glee, absorbing knowledge at an incredible pace.

By the time she was in high school she had already mastered a level of knowledge in quantum physics even college professors would be jealous of. But it was never enough for her, what she wished to learn always seeming to be just out of reach. Til a college study on psychic powers provided her with a unique opportunity. Taking part in it, she opened her mind to the universe and tried to take it all in. When suddenly the machine she was hooked up to began to spark and she was thrown free, her attempt backfiring and unleasing just a piece of the universe for her mind to see.

It's Made of Stars
This glimpse into the nature of the universe fractured her mind, leaving her in a coma for months before she awoke, changed. She was completely insane, seeing things others couldn't and lashing out at them, with a newfound telekinesis of such power even Superboy had trouble dealing with her when he arrived. Her powers suppressed by a psionic inhibitor headband, she was taken into custody and sent to a mental ward for superhumans.

Time and again over the past several months she has broken out and gone on a destructive rampage, attacking things only she could see, stopped by Superboy and sometimes the new heroine in town, Eve. But til her mind can be rebuilt from the fragments and restored to her former state, she is a threat to herself and everyone in Smallville.


Description: Amanda is an attractive red hair with a slender build and fair skin. Her firey red hair worn down to the middle of her back, while her violet eyes seem to glow with a burning rage and insanity.

She always wears simple shirts, slacks and tennis shoes, when not locked up in the superhuman mental ward.

Enemy: Although a new hero, she has already made a name amoung the local gangs. As well as drawing the ire of Flashburn, the gender switched Hotstreak.

Relationship: Close connection to Static and Gear, as well as her foster parents.
Responsibility: Vicky gained her powers due to chance, but feels she is responsible to use them to help others. Her rebellious nature combined with her strong sense of morals means she will never stand by while injustice is happening.

Description of Powers: Reflex has the power to see the immediate future, allowing her to adapt and respond in various ways to changing situations, even reacting before others can move. This allows her to see an opponent's actions before they happen and adjust her tactics, even striking them before they can react and aiming for weak spots. She is impossible to catch off-guard thanks to this power.

History:
Tomboy Cheerleader
Vicky was always pushed into becoming more like her mother was, popular, a cheerleader and hopeful homecoming queen in her senior year. She hated it, trying to be a tomboy and have fun. But her mother just kept a closer eye on her, forcing her to practice her acrobatics and more. Only after an attempted kidnapping when she was 12 did her mother let her join a martial arts class for self defense, learning the art of judo.

But she wanted more from life than to follow in her mother's footsteps. She took to sneaking out, doing everything from simply exploring downtown Dakota to practicing her painting every chance she got. Which is how she ended up in a back alley painting the moon setting over the buildings near the Big Bang when it happened. Breathing in only a little of the gas, she stumbled home and went to sleep, hoping to avoid a fight with her mom again.

Insight Enhanced
Soon after she began to have an easier time in martial arts class, like she could see others' moves before they happened. This only got stronger and after a week it became obvious to Vicky what had happened. She was a bang baby, one with the power to see what is about to happen. She used it to sneak out more, do better in cheerleading and even keep out of trouble. She didn't wish to fight anyone, even with her judo skills and new powers. Just to improve her own life.

But things have a way of forcing people to change, to look at their life and go in a new direction. When Vicky's best friend was put in the hospital by Hotstreak when he was on a rampage, she took the law into her own hand. Hunting down the creep, she gave him a beatdown he never forgot. Only the intervention of Static stopped her from going too far. Taking the new kid under his wing, Static and Gear showed her the ropes.

Change Due to Tragedy
Vicky has been somewhat lacked in her training as a hero, having to focus on cheerleading and school to keep her mom off her back. But she still has some experience on her side, being a skilled hand-to-hand fighter and her future sight having saved her more than once. But when the deadly virus was unleased on Dakota, her life changed forever.

Her mom was one of the victims, leaving her an orphan, her father having left years ago. Hiding out at Static and Gear's HQ, she has been living on her own for months now, focusing on her hero training over everything else. With her power to see the immediate future, even Static and Gear couldn't catch her to put her in child welfare. Until a week ago when she slipped up and Static finally caught her, telling her life on the streets wasn't right for her. Listening to reason, she turned herself in and has been placed into a good foster home. Yet she still focuses on her hero training more, wishing to punish those who unleased the deadly virus on Dakota.

Description: Vicky is an attractive teenage girl just starting to come into her own. She has defined muscle tone and a light tan. She keeps her red hair just above her shoulders in length, while her eyes have turned ruby red since becoming a bang baby.

She tends to wear simple shirts, jeans and tennis shoes most of the time, being an atypical cheerleader. Only when at practice or a game does she wear her cheerleaders uniform. As Reflex she wears a light black jumpsuit with a hoodie and shades to help hide her identity.

Phobia: Although her powers are no longer lost while in water, she has an irrational fear of it and will avoid large bodies of water at all cost.

Description of Powers: Flashburn is a powerful pyrokinetic, both able to control her internal temperature and increase it in other beings and objects. She can will herself to generate a dense aura of visable heat around her body, burning anyone who comes into contact with it and shielding her from harm. By controlling her own internal temperature, she is immune to all forms of cold and heat.

She has the power to control any flames she can see, moving them, causing them to die down or increase in intensity. She can ignite objects or living beings, causing them severe burns or even to burst into flames, by thought alone. By regulating this power on living beings, she can cause them to become dessicate and pass out. Regulating this power on inanimate objects, she can cause them to melt and weaken greatly. By igniting the air near her, she can launch powerful fireballs of blue flame. By spreading the heat out around her, she can cause the ambient temperature to raise into the 100+ range over a 60 mile radius.

History:
Temper Leads to New Life
Heat-Streak made a big mistake, visiting Fawcett City and looking to have some fun. Luck seemed to be going well, as the whole Marvel family was off dealing with a major threat and he had the run of the place. But he didn't count on the rookie hero, Gender Bender, and his freaky powers. Finding himself turned into a total babe and himself off balance, he couldn't fight back effectively when the police arrived. Taken back to Dakota and locked up, it took her weeks to adapt both to the changes in her body and in her powers before she finally broke out.

Back in her hometown, she tried to remind everyone why she was one of the most dangerous Bang Babies around. Unable to fly, her new heat aura was able to keep Static at bay for a while, only to be taken down by knockout gas from the police. Months passed as she tested out the limits of her altered powers, knocking out guards through severe dehydration and finally breaking out by melting the bars off her cell. The next time she and Static tangle, it would end differently.

Description: Francine is an attractive young woman with a healthy tan and athletic muscle tone. She keeps her blonde hair down to her shoulders, while her orange eyes burn with fury shown behind them, her temper obvious to anyone.

She always wears simple shirts, jeans and tennis shoes, even when out on a date. She tends to wear white shirts which are partially see-through to distract males.

Relationship: Clark is close to his mom, Mrs. Janis and his sisters Laura Janis [oldest sister], Jenny and Tina Janis [the twins, older sisters]. He will do anything for them and defend them no matter what.
Secret: Clark is from a family of gender shifters, the power only passed down to females of the family line. A secret from both his family and even from himself is that he was meant to be born female, a quirk of birth preventing it and another one now reversing his gender so his base form will be as Jasmine soon.

Notes
:arrow: The decendant of a long line of gender shifters, from the half mortal son of Janus. An unusual character, he tends to try and force opponents to surrender by transforming them and threating to leave them that way if they don't surrender. Yes, he is way over the PL's suggested points value. But I was building to concept with him, not points total.

Description of Powers: Gender Bender has the power to shift both his form and clothing between genders, male being his base form. This also shifts his clothing to versions of his current gender. Over time his base form will become female, as his male form becomes more and more feminine each time he shifts gender. As a female she isn't as strong but is more outgoing and charismatic, more in touch with her feelings and the feelings of others.

He/she has the power to change the gender of others as well, shifting their clothing to opposite gender version in the process.

History:
Ancient History
Janus, the two-faced god of Greek myth, had a son with a mortal woman in ages past. This might have been the end of the tale, if not for the fact the son went on to marry and have children, and his children and children's children went on to do the same. After generations the gift of being able to change genders at will became lost to the males of the line, only the women retaining the power. And thus it continued in secret for centuries, each generation relating the tale to their daughters, secretly keeping the family name of Janis even when they married.

The males of the line lacked the ability but could pass it on to their daughters, thus the ability was passed on even more. But over time even the males of the line lost the ability to pass on the gift and only a few were left of the Janus line in the world. With the opening of the East and the New World, the line spread out into new areas, eventually one of the daughters settling in Fawcett City.

Growing Up Is Hard
Thus the 4th generation of the Janis family was born in Fawcett City, Clark Janis being the youngest child and only male. Feeling out of place, the only male in a family of females, he tried to compensate for it by doing more "manly" things. The disappearance of his father in South America when he was 5 didn't help, leaving their mother to raise 4 children on her own. The life insurance policy kept them comfortable for years, but it wouldn't last forever. Staying home to take care of her children and home, she had help from her eldest daughter, Laura, taking care of her siblings. With her, their mother might have gone crazy from having to take care of them all on her own.

Clark had it the roughest of all, to save on money he was forced to wear hand-me-downs from the twins, Jenny and Tina. This wasn't that big of a deal when he was younger, dressing as a girl a fun game and way to connect more with his sisters. But by the age of 9 he began to be upset by it, wishing to be the man of the house. He did any job he could around the house, humored by his mom and sisters for the most part. Yet he knew he was outnumbered, the only guy in a house full of girls. Being homeschooled at least helped with not being teased by other kids for wearing girl's clothes but he still tried to establish his identity.

His family didn't mind any of this, til he started working out and insisting on fighting anyone who picked on his sisters. More than a few times he came home with a bruise or black eye for his troubles. Despite all his working out to bulk up, the situation began to wear on him with time. Having no male figure to look up to, he found it hard to fit in with other boys. They began to call him names, from mama's boy to sissy, due to his family situation and the girl's clothes he wore. This lend to a lot of fights, beating up anyone who questioned his manhood and come home battered and bruised more often than not.

School Is A Jungle
Soon the insurance money began to run out and their mom had to get a job. But they slipped into their new routine by the time the school year started, Clark having boys clothes for once but finding it hard to get used to, the course materials irritating his skin. Going to public school, he thought the other boys would finally have less reason to tease him. The school work proved easy and his teachers liked him. But the talking behind his back began to wear on his nerves. Despite his working out more, the change to boys clothes and moving up to junior high, he was still being called a sissy, other students saying he was more like his sisters than any true guy could be.

But with her long hours at work, his mom wasn't able to home school him again and he continued in public school, living in silent torment every day. Left home alone with his older sisters, he had no idea how to be a guy. A stranger in his own home, he didn't have the connection his siblings had with each other. Keeping the house in order, his sisters spent so much time doing girl stuff together, Clark felt left out of his own family.

Family Secret Revealed
The stress began to build within him, the frustration and feelings of rejection from his own family, til they finally came exploding out. Alone in his room, Clark cried out in frustration, wishing to be able to hang out with his sisters more as an equal, like how it was when he was younger. As he left his room, a force hit him and he was knocked unconscious in the hallway before he could react. Hearing his yells and the noise caused by his collapse, his sisters came rushing to see what was wrong.

Minutes later he woke up, to find himself on the living room sofa with his sisters looking down upon him with a look of concern. No sooner did he try to move than something shocked him fully awake. Something shifted on his chest, while long hair suddenly feel into his view. Wondering what was going on, he thought for a moment they had pulled a prank on him while he was unconscious. Or was this some sort of reaction to what was affecting his body? Finding the strength to speak up, his voice didn't sound right. Tina giggled and looking down he wondered if they dressed him in their clothes again.

Only to have his vision blocked by two big orbs in his shirt, he was wearing a bra and filling it out! He was a girl, even his clothes somehow having changed to fit. "Alright, what happened? What is going on!" he yelled out, starting to panic due to the strangeness of everything happening. Taking several minutes for his sisters to calm him down, they stated an explaination would have to wait til their mother got home. But with the few hours left til she would arrive home, his sisters took the new girl under their wing, dubbing her Jasmine, and started to show her things about being a girl, despite her protest.

When mom finally arrived home, Jasmine was all dolled up with make-up and her hair done, nearly shocking the poor woman at seeing the strange girl in her home. Confused at first, her daughters filled her on what was going on and what happened to Clark earlier. Sighing to herself, she couldn't believe this had happened. A major part of their family history was revealed to Clark/Jasmine, the truth of their being descendants of Janus, the ancient Greek god. But for ages now only the females of the family would gain the power to change genders at will. Clark must be a mutant, having gained the power despite being male.

Calmed down despite all the craziness of the last couple hours, Jasmine was told she had to concentrate to change back into a boy. Talked through the steps, it took a few tries for him to finally turn back into a boy. Finding his clothes changed back with him, leaving him glad. Laura showed that their clothes always changed to fit their current gender, by turning into her male self, Hank.

More Power Than Expected
Only a week after discovering so much about his family and himself, Clark still hadn't shifted back to female form, with the exception of when his mom and sisters made him as part of his training. Despite wishing to be closer to his sisters and mom, he still couldn't get past the idea of being female just yet, something felt off to him and not quite right about being a girl just yet. Although thanks to his unique insight into the girl mindset, he found himself getting along with the girls at school better, even making some new friends.

But this only lead to more teasing, especially by the jocks, who called him a sissy and said he got along with the girls so well because he was one. Each day the taunting got worse, finding bras and panties stuffed into his locker, after gym class returning to find all his clothes replaced with the girliest clothes in his size, etc. Continueing on for a few weeks, the anger building up in Clark with each passing day, til one day he finally exploded with unforseen results.

The school QB, one of the most manly guys around, took pleasure in picking on Clark. Asking if he wore make-up also, the QB tossed a tube of lipstick at Clark and this was all it took to light the fuse. Turning around, a look of pure anger upon his face, something built up inside him and tried to force its way out. Trying to stop himself from turning into a hot girl into front of everyone, Clark tried to suppress the energy. But it came out anyways, as a blue and pink swirl of energy which enveloped the QB. When the energy cleared, where once stood a large quarterback was left a petite, buxom blonde cheerleader. Everyone was even more shocked by the new girl's reaction, as she smiled, truely happy for the first time in years.

The QB had only picked on Clark because of his own feelings, that of being a girl trapped in a boy's body. Finally whom she felt she should be, she kissed Clark on the cheek and skipped off to the principal's office to call her parents. The other jocks ran off after what they saw, yelling back at Clark to leave them alone. They feared the same fate, believing Clark had altered the quarterback's mind to make him a girly girl and not wishing to share it. Only a few people had been in the hallways besides the jocks and they were keeping quiet about what happened, fearing the taunts they would receive from other school's if what happened came out.

The principal heard the whole tale of what happened, when the new girl's parents showed up and hugged their little girl. Calling Clark into his office, he told him he couldn't have someone going around, changing the genders of his students on a whim. Thus he was sent home with a note, explaining what happened to his mother and how he was expelled. His sisters arriving home first, they were told the story of what happened. The news about the quarterback wasn't a shock, stories had circulated in the girl's locker room for years. But the fact that Clark could change others' gender was major news, no one in the history of their family had ever possessed such an ability.

Their mother was even more shocked to hear what happened, a look of concern falling over her as she read the note. Gifted beyond what they originally believed, she told Clark he must use this power responsibly, today being a fluke that more people hadn't found out. Thanks to the district rules and being kicked out of his current school, there wasn't anywhere else for him to go. Til his sisters hit upon an idea.

School As the New Girl
Clark was banned from school, but an unknown sister who had been staying with their relatives til now, Jasmine, could be registered once the new semester started. Going to school as a girl was a bit much to take but given the alternative, he had no other choice. Jasmine was received well at Fawcett High School, the girls liking her and the guys unable to take their eyes off her. She even began to give into her hormones, blushing at the attention and joining the cheerleading squad.

Her sisters would tease Clark at home about his activities at school, but he would just brush them off. Although his mother became more and more concerned, as his male clothes began to fit him less, appearing more and more effeminate as time passed. What his family didn't know was Clark's extracuricular activities, as he/she was sneaking out at night and dealing with biker gangs and other criminals who came to town as Gender Bender! What none of them know was the fact that the more Clark shifted between genders or stayed in female form for an extended period, the more feminine he is becoming in male form.

Description: Clark is a slender and effeminate young man, with fair skin and little muscle tone. He keeps his black hair shoulder length if only because it always grows back to that length overnight, while his blue eyes show a gentle soul who only wishes to protect those he cares about. As Jasmine she is an attractive young woman with a slender but trim build, with fair skin. She wears her black hair down to the middle of her back, while her blue eyes draw in all who gaze into them.

As Clark he tends to wear simple shirts, jeans and tennis shoes most of the time. As Jasmine she tends to wear the same but female versions. As Gender Bender he/she wears a little blue full body suit with a mask over the top half of his/her face, with a slit in the back for her hair when female.

Power Loss: His Deadly with a Scalpel is useless without a scalpel. And his Mold Appearance may be Innate, but a Nully [Unholy descriptor] can reverse any changes he has made automatically.
Reputation: He is known as a dishonorable surgeon with no morals in the legitamate medical community.

:arrow: Shaper, known as The Shaper for this version, is a behind the scenes guy. He rarely fights and is only capped when fighting with a scalpel. Otherwise he can be used to explain how a criminal got his appearance changed.

Description of Powers: The Shaper is a plastic surgeon imbued with the power to change others appearance by touch alone. Although not much a surgeon in the past, the deal he made has made him skilled and also deadly accurate with a scalpel, able to cut through even impervious defenses to a degree.

History
Intelligent Slacker
Clark Grant came from a well-off family, given everything he wanted and spoiled as an only child. Despite his intelligence, he had little drive and thus made As and Bs throughout his academic carrer, even though he could have gotten straight As if he tried. Son of a famous doctor, he went into the family business but became a plastic surgeon.

He always passed with above average grades but never tried to excel. His practice was sought out only by the desperate or criminals, even though he didn't always try his best even when his patients were under. Time and again he avoided going to jail for botching a surgery or costing someone their life while under his care. Soon the law was closing in on him, he would most likely go to jail for criminal neglect. He needed a way to survive, a way to earn a living in the shadows.

Deal with a Devil
Saying he would sell his soul for a chance to not only survive, but become rich. Imagine his surprise when out of flames, Neron appeared. He offered him greater skills as a surgeon, as well as the power to change others' appearance with but a touch and skills with a scalpel others could only dream of. Taking the deal, Neron and he shook hands on it and Clark's eyes became a dull gray from their former blue.

Soon he made a name for himself in the underworld, offering his services to save the lives of the lowest level scum and change their appearance for a fee. His skills were much improved and he was able to focus more on his work. Setting up a Swiss bank account under an assumed name, he used his connections to erase all records of his past. He can be called to anywhere in the world for a fee, but he hides out in Fawcett City, avoiding the notice of Captain Marvel and his allies for the time being.

Description: Clark appears to be a man in his early 30s, plain and subdued. He keeps his brown hair short and trim, while his gray eyes show nothing, as those who gaze into them sense something off about him.

He wears simple shirts and jeans with tennis shoes most of the time. When working he wears surgeon's scrubs and almost always has a scalpel on him somewhere.
