He was probably one of, if not my favorite character from the Dresden Files. I've always had a soft spot for boyscout paragon types, and Michael was basically as good and noble a hero as you're likely to find anywhere.

Complications:
Berserker Button (the kids): If you want know about this, just ask Queen Mab about her gates.
As far as I know in the books she never used any armor, but since she made Michael's I think it's safe to assume she had a spare for herself.

Kara wrote:First of all, excellent builds for The Dresden Files. I particularly like the fact that he is such a (relatively) low level, which fits better with the style of the books. He might throw around a lot of fire, but he's not so good with the aiming and defensively his only choices seem to be either dodging a lot and letting the enchanted coat soak a little, or standing still and throwing up a strong magical shield. In particular, I am very grateful for you writing builds for his integral network of family and friends. He relies so much on them, despite his constant attempts to keep them out of his world for fear of losing his loved ones, that I would never use a build for Dresden without using builds for at least some of his friends.Woodclaw wrote:Charity Carpenter

And I believe Charity did indeed have a suit of chainmail to fit herself, which she wore during the events that you refer to when you mention Queen Mab's gates. She also has a few extras in a variety of sizes, along with additional medieval weaponry.

Charity looks pretty good to me. She's packing some serious muscle, some serious melee skill, and she's got the skills to make armour and weapons for her husband.
She did have a few sets of chainmail to go around at one point, but nothing quite as nice as the platemail/kevlar combo she made for her husband.
Honestly? Every time I read anything about Michael I can't help but feel a deep pang of jealousy. The guy is pure awesome knight in shining armour and he has a loving and devoted family.
And one of the revelations he makes in one of the later books to Harry ratchets him another level up.
All in all the Carpenters are epic level humans in a mundane world ;~)

Billy really gets a PL bump as a books go on, but this is pretty much dead on for their initial appearances.
