-Aaawwwww YEAH, Cybernetic Space Chicken of Death to the rescue! Gigan is a monstrous, lethal foe of Godzilla (making him BLEED more than once), flying down to kick ass and be vicious, but he usually runs once things get too hairy. I just love Gigan's bizarre appearance- a green body, golden scales, fin-like wings, a metal beak, Cyclops visor and big ol' hook hands and feet make for one strange-looking Kaiju. Such is my love for Gigan's appearance that I sometimes use him as a personal avatar, just in humanoid form. Plus, I've discovered that every movie poster in the world would look more awesome with Gigan replacing one of the major characters.

-Gigan is PL 15, matching Showa Godzilla in most respects. He lacks a Blast, but is lethal in-close, possessing a crazy-ass Buzzsaw Attack that uses a Penetrating Multiattack with four ranks of Improved Critical- he made Godzilla bleed, and nearly slew both he & Anguirus, and only barely tends to lose (at which point he flees). It seems cowardly, but considering Godzilla's death count, it's probably not a half-bad idea to bail when things start going bad.

-The Final Wars movie features a bunch of new variants of Gigan, with an Eye Laser (Blast 22-ish), Flying Buzzsaws (Same, with Split and Homing 4), and his hooks being replaced with CHAINSAWS. And MAN, did this update ever look cool. Easily the best redesign of the whole film, despite going down to Mothra.

Electric King Kong.... :lol: Mighty Joe Young never got this level of strangeness.

So much fun...that's what these builds are, and such a nostalgia trip.

Woot! Gigan! One of my favorite monsters. I was so pissed when the Destroyah movie came out and Godzilla went into overload that it wasnt Gigan that destroyed him.

Mecha Kong though has to be my all time favorite monster. It's a monkey! It's a robot! No wait! It's both!!!!

-Megalon is the minion of the Seatopians, and brawled with Jet Jaguar & Godzilla for a while as the key villain of his own movie. He proved rather unpopular, and thus we never saw more of him. He had big drills for arms and an electro-horn, but ended up looking kind of bland overall. Not a big Megalon fan, really. He's a fairly standard Burrowing Kaiju (we've seen a few of those so far), packing a PL 14.5 Blast and PL 15 Area Effects, but the rest of him's PL 14 territory, a notch below Godzilla. He also has a Napalm Blob that will hit a target, and then explode later.

-Battra is a one-shot creature from the Heisei era and an Opposite Colour Version of Mothra, being an ancient creature designed by an older culture to protect mankind and destroy it's foes- it ended up going too far and nearly destroyed the world. In the modern era, it opposed Mothra, then fought Godzilla, and then BOTH Flying Bugs teamed up to defeat Godzilla, who slew Battra when they dumped him into the Pacific Ocean. Battra's quite powerful, but still only PL 15, which means that he & Mothra both had to gang up to stand a chance against the PL 16 Godzilla in their film. He's got Energy Blasts, Wings and not much else to him. Kind of a bland creature, though his burrowing Larval form looked pretty cool.

-King Kong actually got his own robotic version before Godzilla himself did, and fought the goofy-ass Mechan-Kong in his TV show and movie. Mechani-Kong was created by villains to fight and hypnotize the big ape, but his controls got smashed and he suffered that most Kong-like of deaths- falling off a building and smashing into dozens of pieces. He's got a nifty Grenade Belt, a Hypnosis Beam and the standard Kong-like stuff, but at slightly lower levels. He's roughly equal to Kong in most other respects, however, so he's quite the pain.

-MOGUERA... really isn't that great. Basically a replacement for Mechagodzilla (the creators didn't want Godzilla to team up with the last guy to kick his ass, since they might overwhelm their new foe), he was two vehicles that combined into one robot with drills and lesser-Mechagodzilla abilities. He aided Godzilla tremendously against SpaceGodzilla (blowing up a crystal spire with his Spiral Missiles), but got himself blown up for his troubles against one of the most powerful Kaiju of all time.

-"Godzilla 2000" was the only Toho Godzilla movie I'd ever seen in theatres, and I actually remember very little about it other than what I've read about it since then. It was your standard Godzilla movie in most ways, featuring a random new monster (with more than one form) that showed up, fought well, and then got it's ass kicked. I mean, who takes a creature with the most famous breath weapon in the universe and PUTS HIS HEAD IN IT'S MOUTH? Orga is roughly akin to the Showa-era Godzilla foes, since he's only barely larger than their standard (apparently everyone took a shot in height after the Heisei era ended and shrank by almost half. I have no idea why), but has a few unique tricks, mainly his Shapeshifting Mimicry, which requires him to grab and take the powers of his foes. I don't think he outright drains them, though. Despite being Godzilla-level in power, he's INSANELY expensive, since his Mimicry is relatively high level, in addition to his other powers.

-Now THIS is a freaking Kaiju design! When I first saw this thing in a friend's Godzilla bio-book (that lists all the Kaiju, as well as the films they were in, circa 1995 or so), I was amazed. A bizarre hybrid of Godzilla and Audrey II from "The Little Shop of Horrors" ("Downtown... where the folks are broke! DOWNTOWN... where your life's a joke!"), Biollante was hilariously described as the Kaiju with the most "realistic" origin, since it had the "sensical" story of a scientist merging his daughter's DNA (to preserve her soul, of course- and how many frickin' scientists with beautiful daughters does this series NEED? And DEAD ones, too!) with a rose, which he then merged with some government stuff, AND added Godzilla's DNA to it. And wouldn't ya know it, but this thing soon escaped and grew super-huge. Godzilla, being a huge ass, decided to attack it on principle (I don't think it'd even done anything by that point), and the resulting knock-down drag-out nearly killed both of them, but she tried the classic "put the guy with the breath weapon in your mouth" trick, which NEVER works, and that was the end of Biollante, save for a large rose flying around the atmosphere.

-Biollante is a PL 16 super-heavyweight, matching Godzilla all over the place, with attacks that alternate between super-accuracy (it's semi-sentient Tendrils can attack with impunity from nearly all directions- it's Indirect x4 and Accurate x2, as well as Multiattacking) and super-damage (+23 damage for it's Sap and Unarmed damage, beyond even Godzilla's given the thing's HUGE size). It's Area Effects do even more damage than is normal, cutting through nearly anything with ease, and makes it a +17 creature in that regard (have fun fighting it with human-size creatures that all fit under 120-foot templates, is what I'm saying).

-Megaguirus continues a rather long theme in the modern era's Godzilla movies- the creature with a link to the past, created by Godzilla's own power. Megaguirus is descended from the Meganulons, the giant bugs Rodan ate in the "Rodan" movie, but powered-up by Godzilla's radiation at some point. It's basically a big giant bug, which I think is rather boring, since there's already been a dozen Mothras, plus Battra. It's PL 15, challenging Millennium-Era Godzilla on an even level, but is also a Flier, Blaster & Affliction guy, draining Kaiju-sized monsters with it's giant stinger. It's less durable than some, being crippled by Godzilla's bite, and she got blown up by Atomic Breath.

Reputation (Villain)- King Ghidorah is the most-feared monster in the entire galaxy, so much so that it took seven other Kaiju to kill him. Expect his mere appearance to mobilize the entire planet against him.

-King Ghidorah- Godzilla's greatest foe by far. So popular was he that he appeared in a half-dozen Showa films, and got two Heisei films as well. THEN he showed up in a handful of Millennium films, including being the final boss of "Final Wars". This guy is EXTREME- the sum totality of everything you ever thought was cool about fantasy animals as a kid (breath weapons, wings, dragon stuff, multiple limbs), and combined into one supreme form. Ghidorah might as well have had "BMF" tattooed on his forehead- a three-headed super-Kaiju with triple Electrical Beams (called "Gravity Beams" for whatever reason), Sonic Speed, and the highest durability level of the entire Showa Era. This guy was so hardcore that it took Godzilla, Mothra AND Rodan to send him off the first time, and SEVEN monsters to "kill" him! He of course returned (you can't keep a villain THIS awesome dead for too long- everyone else just seems lesser without him), did some more stuff (getting gradually weaker as things went on- eventually Godzilla & another monster could see off Ghidorah & an ally of his own).

-Ghidorah is a monster unlike any other- huge, all-powerful, and packing more overall strength than anyone else in the Showa era. His "Gravity Beams" are basically electrical attacks, using either a Line, Split or Super Combined Form that also explodes on impact). He can also Fly (doing the same tricks Rodan can), attack with Extra Limbs, and take a punch. His Advantages are beyond any other Kaiju, allowing him numerous options as well as unbelievable toughness (only Godzilla also manages to have Last Stand, Withstand Damage AND Great Endurance). King Ghidorah's just... unstoppable. He's so tough that his Heisei version is actually WEAKER, since it was KILLED by Godzilla in it's first movie. Weak pathetic fool- Showa Ghiodrah would probably beat the hell out of the thing, despite being out-scaled in terms of size.

-Mecha-King Ghidorah was just a disappointment to me. I mean, a 150-foot tall GHIDORAH CYBORG? That's just the most awesome concept ever. But he looked goofy, and lost all by himself to a point-blank Atomic Fire shot, and wasn't awesome at all. Heck, they should've just gone all Mechagodzilla on him and made him totally robotic-looking on the outside. Now THAT would have been cool. This "Central head & Chest-Plate" partial-conversion 'borg wasn't sweet enough by half. He's no more powerful than regular Ghidorah (arguably he's only PL 16 like Godzilla himself is), packing a Snare and a Laser Blaster thingie (that's mostly like a Gravity Beam anyways I think).

-So they had a Robot Godzilla disguised as an Evil Godzilla, but never an Evil Godzilla outright, unless you count the more menacing version of the G-Man himself. But either way, Godzilla had never TRULY fought an evil clone, and so they made one. Space Godzilla came about because of some Godzilla DNA flying around space (thanks to Biollante) mixing with some cosmic whatever, which is about as weak an origin story as you can possibly get, but hey, it gave us a giant super-bad Godzilla, so who cares? Space Godzilla kidnapped Godzilla Jr. (himself by this point almost as big as Showa-era Godzilla), made a bunch of crystal spires appear all over Japan, and caused widespread chaos until the original was able to break his limits, blow up a Shoulder Spire, and kill the guy.

-Space Godzilla is ultra-mean and built like the elite Godzilla villains, being one notch higher than the Big Man of Tokyo in PL. His Corona Beam is basically a Cosmic Atomic Breath attack, and he does PL 17 damage all over the place, in addition to creating Spires and moving stuff around Telekinetically. He is one vicious, MEAN bastard as well, using a merciless stream of attacks to bring Kaiju low. It took Godzilla & MOGUERA to stop him, and even then Godzilla had to break his limits to do it.

-The Heisei era rocked for monster designs- Space Godzilla, Biollante, and THIS monstrosity- Destroyah (also called Destoroyah, Destroyer, etc.- good ol' Japanese pronounciation), the child of the Oxygen Destroyer that killed the very original Godzilla (the only film canonical to EVERY continuity) and some crabs that were farting around the locale. This thing is AWESOME- sorta like some giant mutation of a Dragon, a crab, and Satan himself, resulting in easily the scariest-looking Kaiju ever made. And it's a powerhouse- PL 17 just like Space Godzilla & Showa Ghidorah, packing a super-weapon Blast (4 ranks of Improved Critical and a notch more power than any other Blast in the series- +26 damage!), Flight, some Morphing (including two Crab Forms that result in hundreds or thousands of little crabs- a Swarm defined by Morph and a Summon Alt-Effect, since it can't Swarm out AND use it's Blasts).
