Werebears are humanoids that can transform themselves into large brown bears. Their humanoid forms are often large and heavily-muscled. Werebears dress in simple garments that can be easily removed.

Most werebears are good-natured and desire to help others in their communities. They see themselves as the guardians standing between the natural world and civilization. Their animal instincts guide them to protect the splendors of nature, while their humanoid minds tell them to help travelers and provide aid to the weak.

Wererats are wicked rogues and assassins. They live in large families and clans below cities and deep within caverns, where they ply their trade to the highest bidder.

A wererat in humanoid form tends to be a thin, wiry individual of shorter than average height. The eyes constantly dart around, and the nose and mouth may twitch if he or she is excited. Males often have thin, ragged mustaches. The animal form of a wererat is that of a dire rat of massive size.

COMPLICATIONS
Power Loss:
Impervious Toughness; not vs. silver weapons.
Prejudice: Lycanthrope.
Weretigers are usually female. They tend to hide from civilized society, assuming the role of witches or hermits in the wild. Many weretigers take the time to learn magical arts to enhance this façade. This, unfortunately, has the effect of the lycanthrope being confused with a rakshasa.

Weretigers in humanoid form tend to be sleekly muscular, taller than average, and very agile.

Werewolves are the most common type of lycanthropes in the world. They are found in all climates, both in the wild and hidden in civilization. Werewolf packs are organized similar to wolf packs, with a powerful alpha in command of the entire group. The moral and ethical outlook of the pack tends to follow that of the alpha.

Werebeasts, probably my favourite kind of creatures in every possible world. Good work.

I always got a kick out of Lycanthropes as well. I was even gonna play a Werepanther in one campaign, but it got shelved for some other thing in my Sci-Fi Club at college.

I was loving the lizards so much that I was starting work on Lizard build just for him to be able to Summon them. And then you dropped those lycanthropes. My geek cup runneth over. 8)

This thread just became the basis for my next character for my local group game. An animal summoning Tarzan-a-like.

You are quite welcome. Especially, as I am a huge Paulley Perrette fan (luv the avatar)!

If you love animal builds, I highly recommend Jab's thread. He has some great animal kingdom builds.

Mantas are curious creatures, and will often approach swimmers and boats. They stray away from sharks and orca, who often feed upon rays. Mantas are peaceful unless provoked. More often than not, they will flee an attacker, but if unable to do so, they will lash out with their barbed tail stinger.

Disability:
A manticore’s paws offer limited manipulation.
Reputation: Manticores are known to be savage man-eaters and allies of evil creatures.
Manticores are true monsters. They are giant beasts with the bodies of lions, the wings of a dragon, the head of a man, and a tail that ends in a mass of deadly spikes. The mouth of a manticore is full of rows and rows of razor-sharp teeth, similar to a great white shark. It uses these teeth to feed upon any creature the manticore can catch; be it animal or human.

The manticore is a monster of Persian legend. Its name means “man-eater.” Manticores are intelligent creatures and often work beside other evil beings to bring strife and suffering in the world.

Poisonous Spikes
Some manticores have tail spikes that carry lethal or paralytic venom. Often, these manticores will have tails that are similar in appearance to that of a scorpion’s stinger.

To simulate a poisonous manticore, add the following traits to the creature’s Powers:

Poison Tail Stinger: Array (42 points)
Lethal Poison: Ranged Weaken Stamina and Strength 7 (Resisted by Fortitude; Broad, Linked to Tail Spikes, Progressive, Simultaneous) – 42 points
