Complications:
Motivation: Lu is out to do good with her powers and skills. She knows full well what she is capable of, and in truth, it even scares her a little, but thanks to Cyborg's "Iron-Clad Self Control" training regimen, Lu has confidence in her ability to resist the temptations to do ill with her powers so she can focus on using them for the greater good.

Impulsive - While with Cyborg, Lu has been focusing on learning self control more than anything, but sometimes, she just can't help herself and will start Analyzing tech around her, regardless of how sensitive it is to it's owner.

Secrets - With the ability yo blueprint technology at a look and remember it permanently with eidetic memory, Lupe knows many technological secrets she is sworn to protect and those will not be the last.

Mysterious Past - The specialist who injected Lu is obviously a mysterious figure of her past who may return to influence Lu's life in some way, though when and how remains to be seen.

Techno-Blood - Lu's body is infused with nano-technology from her blood, muscles, bones and so on. While straight electricity will harm her no more or less than any others, she is highly susceptable to electro-magnetic pulses which will result in Powerloss of all but her technopathy and cause her to be Fatigued. Her powers return when the Fatigue is recovered from.

Hacked - Lu's nano-machines can be hacked if someone has the particular means to do so, using Technology(Half rank rounded up) as an Affliction effect (Resisted by Will; Dazed, Compelled, Controlled) against her. Her nanites are wireless so the hacker requires a wireless means of hacking them, and they are controlled by her Technopathic powers on a passive basis (thus Will as a Resistance). The hacker's control is limited to physical manipulation. There may be other applications of this complication to GM discretion.

Enochlophobic - Enochlophobia is the irrational fear of crowds. An incident when she was young that nearly got her trampled by a crowd traumatized Lu for life, and she cannot be surrounded by a large group of people without feeling closed in and starts to shut down and become unresponsive, or begins to panic outright, depending on the situation. Public transit is an absolute nightmare to her. Being in front of a large crowd is fine, only when she is IN the crowd does this trigger.(Crowd should be more than 6 or 7 people)

Lu was born weak and sickly. She was never expected to live to hit puberty, much less her 5th birthday, yet her parents tried their best to make her happy. When she was five years old and dieing, a specialist doctor approached Lu's parents.

Desperate to try anything that might save their daughter, they consented to an 'experimental procedure'. It only involved a few shots (Which Lu didn't like at all), but within hours there was progress, within days, Lu, whose legs were too weak to carry her without supports, was running down the hospital hallways to escape the doctors chasing her.

It was a miracle, but the specialist had been nowhere to be found. Lu's family hadn't even had the chance to thank the man, thinking nothing of how it was strange he didn't stay to monitor the progress, take notes on results, anything. They were simply glad to have their child back, and healthier than ever.

Within the next two years, Lu's technopathy came to the surface. Specialists in the field exclaimed it was rare for powers to develop in someone so young, but it wasn't entirely unheard of and probably nothing to worry about... until their computer went up in smoke as the cooling fan shut itself off and the processor kicked into high gear, causing a fit of giggles from young Lu.

The next few years were hard with Lu's abilities growing along with her strength and stamina, causing quite the rambunctious and rebellious streak to develop. Lu's parents reached out to the Justice League, thinking perhaps they had someone who could help them learn how to deal with Lu's powers. The League sent one of their leading tech-heads; Cyborg.

After a few... interesting... confrontations, Cyborg got through to Lu's wonderlust for technology, and her mentorship under Cyborg began. Having been a Teen Titan previously, even leading chapters, Cyborg had a fair share of how to engage the teen, teaching her all kinds about technology, but also how to fight, why to fight. Cyborg taught her just how dangerous she was. She deserved to know, but the picture Cyborg painted was so vivid in Lu's mind, it affected her on a fundamental level, and allowed Cyborg to teach her the most important lesson he could 'Self Control', a lesson Lu is still trying to get a grasp on, but she is trying.

Her codename, Sable, is symbolic in how a saber is a dangerous thing, but in the right hands, can protect people.

Personality:
Lu's is a fairly typical teenager in personality her age. She tries to be mature, but she is prone to what Cyborg affectionately coined 'geek-fests' where she finds something new to Analyze, especially in great quantity. She is enthusiastic about using her powers and skills to make things that will help people.

That said, she is also still a teenager, prone to immature stints like any other. She's capable of laughing and does so often when enjoying herself or finds something funny. Despite her affinity to machines, her personality shows none of their traits. She appreciates that she was never supposed to live past five, and plans to live the best she can.

To her friends and teammates, she's the reliable one. The one who can keep a secret and will listen, if one doesn't mind her tinkers while she does. She takes care of her team by making sure their gear is in top condition from the base to any personal effects. And she's the one everyone knows they can turn to in a pinch

Finally, she has a sense of self control one could generously call solid. Cyborg's lessons with her revolved a lot around self control and became a mantra of 'Iron-clad Self Control' that she can be heard repeating to herself when she feels her self control slipping, at least, when it's important for that control to remain in place.

Arriving on the Watchtower 5, Cyborg introduces Sable to Red Tornado, all the while doing her best to contain her excitement and not to Analyze everything in and about the Watchtower in sight, including the robotic hero who escorts her to a technology-bare meeting room, save for a techn-organic monitor and typing aparatus to be used by Miss Martian, her interviewer... who walked in as Lu was Analyzing the alien technology, much to her own surprised ability to do so.

Miss Martian: "Oh don't worry about that, you have to be a psychic in order to operate it. Okay, now that we are seated, we can begin. Please state your full name and codename."

Sable: *Feeling a bit guilty about having been caught Analyzing the monitor, she considers something, but gives herself a mental shake and answers the question* "My full name is Lupe Esmeralda Espada, my codename, is Sable."

Miss Martian: "Great, now please tell me about your powers."

Sable: "Er... which ones? Natural or the nanite?"

Miss Martian: "Well, assuming the natural ones were with you from birth, let's start with the nanites. How did you come to possess them?"

Sable: "Well, I was really sickly when I was little, as in 'not expected to live to hit puberty' sickly. Then one day, this doctor specialist guy shows up with an experimental procedure that should have made me healthy again. It worked."

Miss Martian: "It worked too well?"

Sable: "Kind of. I think it triggered my technopathy which co-ordinated the nanite efforts to greater effect than anyone could have expected, self included, considering I was five and didn't know I had super powers."

Miss Martian: "Did they try to reproduce it?"

Sable: *Shrugs* "I don't know. Maybe? The specialist disappeared. We never even got a chance to thank him."

Miss Martian: "Alright, tell me about your technopathic powers. You can take things apart with your mind, see how they work? Manipulate them?"

Sable: "If by "take apart with your mind", you mean see a kind of mental blueprint of how it's put together? Then yes. For manipulating them, well, I can't make a toaster dance, but I can activate it's convection circuit and make it hot. i can't make something do something outside of it's functions, though I can activate certain functions and kick them into overdrive....blew up a computer when I was seven by doing that to a processor while turning off the cooling fan. it seemed a lot funnier back then."

Miss Martian: "I imagine. So why be a Titan? STAR Labs would hire you surely, not to mention any number of other technology corporations."

Sable: *Thinks it over for a second* "I know STAR would lobotomize themselves to get their hands on me and my abilities, after all, I can analyze and catalogue technology with a look. I have eidetic memory, I'm not sure if that's related to the nanites, the powers or just a natural trait I would have had anyways, but anyways.. the problem is, with STAR or someone else, I could only help people they wanted to help. As a Titan, I could help so many more people, like a real hero. I mean... I do want to join the Justice League one day."

Miss Martian: "I understand. Where is it you want to go then?"

Sable: *Smiles a little coyly* "I hear Jump City is nice this time of year"

Miss Martian: "I've lived there for six years, it's nice all year round."

Sable: *Breaks into a grin* "That just means I can say it any time and be accurate"

Miss Martian: "Well, I think we are done here. Welcome to the TItan Reserves Sable. We'll call for you when a space opens up." *She stands and offers her hand*

Sable: *Unable to contain her excitement, leaps up and enthusiastically shakes Miss Martian's hand in both of her own* "Th-thank you!!" *she stops a beat and 'ahems'* "I-I mean, thank you. I'll be waiting for your call"

Miss Martian leaves the room and waits out side the door for a three-count, rewarded for the patience with a loud and excited whoop of joy before continuing down the hall.

Background:
The young woman who would one day become the hero known as Owl started an unassuming life. Raised by caring parents in Gotham City where she would have become a Gymnast had it not been for the auto accident that took her mother's life.
Her father, unsure of what to do with his guiding light of a wife now gone, took his 9 year old daughter and himself back to where he grew up, Blüdhaven. Life was a bit harder in Blüdhaven, it having not been the place that Owl's father remembered. They had spent all their money to get to a place to end up saving money to be able to get out of that same spot.
Nearly a year after Owl and her father came to Blüdhaven they were held at gunpoint while walking home from seeing a movie. Had Nightwing not came to their rescue Owl's story might have ended there, but as luck would have it the 10 year old girl and her father were saved thanks to Blüdhaven's only hero.
Cliche as it sounds, Owl was smitten by her dashing savior, creating fantasies over her and Nightwing fighting crime together and growing old and getting married (never-mind the fact that she is a good 15-20 years younger than him). To that end she resumed her gymnastics training, waiting for the day she could join her 'love'.

One Year Later she was ready to start 'patrolling' (going out to try and watch Nightwing) and she actually was able to stop a small time purse snatcher... unfortunately she got cocky after that; trying to stop a night-time bank theft and getting caught, she was moments away from the thieves doing something horrible when Nightwing came flying down and together Nightwing and the young Owl took out the robbers in a quick fight. A fight which would be very memorable to both crime-fighters involved as during the scuffle Owl was able to create a pair of Escrima Sticks made out of ice...
After the thieves were rounded up and the police on their way, Nightwing spoke to the young girl, memories of Tim fresh on his mind, stating how dangerous living the life of a hero is and how young kids shouldn't be put through the pain that heroes go through. He also said that he knew a mage without proper training could lead to another doomsday scenario... Nightwing brought Owl to the Maven of Magic, Raven, for proper training.
Spending a few months with the mage donned in purple and black to learn how to restrain her magic from flaring on its own, Raven noted that her young apprentice was a fast learner and soon sent Owl back to Nightwing for the beginning of her training, honing her physical body.

Owl spent 2 years with Nightwing, learning the tricks of the trade such as how to balance right when using a grappling hook, what areas to hit to knock someone out without having to be super strong like Superman, better ways to tumble while in combat... things that would help her stay alive.
While she was learning the physical, Raven was giving her the basics of the Meta-physical. Teaching her Latin as many spells were written in it, how to perform minor evocations and how not to be blown up by them if they go wrong.
Owl, now 14 years old, could be inducted into a Teen Titans branch officially and would have chosen one close to Nightwing had he not been promoted in ranking within the JLA. Now with next to no time for anything beyond JLA business Owl joined the Raven-Guard to be close to her other mentor and continue her training.
It was then that Owl met her future rival and near nemesis, the mage going by the name "SunTail". The two young mages were almost destined to be on opposite sides of one another, Owl had control of Shadow, SunTail created Light, Owl learned to sneak amongst the night, SunTail strode in the open and spoke publicly more than engaged in combat. This rivalry only strengthened when Owl was chosen as a candidate for joining the Jump City branch of the Teen Titans only a year and a half after she joined the Raven-Guard. Rumors persist that Raven is preparing Owl to become her successor.

Only time will tell if they are true...

Appearance:
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Height: 5'0"
Weight: *Smack upside the head* (105lbs)
Hair: Gray
Eyes: Gray

Facts about Owl:
-She 'sleeps' in 3 two-hour naps throughout the day her first at 4:00-6:00, second from 12:00 to 14:00 and last at 20:00-22:00, her reasoning is that this way she'll be ready for a fight no matter what time of day it is, easily shifting one of the naps back an hour or two if a fight runs through its time.
-She feels a little rejected by Nightwing, as she only was able to get through her fighting and stealth training before he had to report as a full JLA member (and thus leave her to Raven's care) and she didn't get into her computer hacking, lock-picking, entanglement, or other training he was planning on giving her.

Intro

"Ah Rae I really don't have to do this rig..." she looks out at the rest of the people and blushes "Mistress Raven has asked me to introduce myself, I am called Owl..." her eyes shrink to slits while she looks at Beast Boy who is visiting "Or Mistress Owl." and just like that her eyes are back to round globes and almost seem chipper "I'll be your resident Mage and performer of magical butt kic..." she glances at Raven then back to the rest of the team "Resident Mage will do..."

Week One...

--Day 2
Owl's guide to magical cooking, Part 1: "Food that causes its consumer to have a high ranging voice, much like a munchkin from a certain Wizard movie, is an excellent ice breaker."

--Day 4
*A Note attached to the fridge*
[color=maroon]"To the person who keeps drinking from the carton, I put a spell on the lip of the container to turn your tongue purple for an undetermined amount of time. Enjoy the experience. Use a glass."

--Day 6
*Note attached to the TV*
"Truce, whomever is the one with the purple tongue, like we -don't- know who you are, whom has been making sure my spell books end up in odd places in the middle of the night... truce."

Personality:
Owl is normally a sarcastic jokester who likes to use her magic abilities to perform pranks and to have fun in her life, notice the "normally" at the beginning of the sentence; if Nightwing or Raven is around then she acts much more ridged, leader-ly... boring...

Change/XP Log wrote:The First Week: +1pp. Spent on something but was wrapped up into the remix...
Episode 1 "Next": +5pp. Spent on: +2 Expertise Magic, Leadership, Uncanny Dodge, +2 Close Attack (And subtracted 1 Accurate from both Owl Talons and Escrima Sticks to not go over caps), Took Close Attack 8+Parry 13+Fighting 2 and made them more evened: They are now Close Attack 6+Parry 13+Fighting 4. Still comes to the same pp total and the same Parry and Melee combat accuracy, she's now not 'back-loaded' with the Close Attack Advantage. Showing the same amount of 'skill' in fighting, just a more broad understanding of it.
Episode 2 "The Brat's Bride": +4pp. Spent on: 1 rank of Inspire, 1 rank of Minion (for Teekle), 2 ranks of Ranged Combat Skill, and one somewhere in the minor edits I did... I increased her Fighting score, lowering her Parry so it stays at caps and not above them and took out her Accurate Attack Advantage; she has a +12 in most forms of combat if not higher, why would she want to increase her accuracy even -more- than that?

NOTES
Deuce is an ace mentalist, possessing both telepathy and telekinesis. With her telepathy, she can generate mental hallucinations, read people's minds, and communicate with them, even acting like a team switch board the way Miss Martian links her team mates up in Young Justice. She also has limited precognitive ability, letting her glimpse slightly into the future to instinctively get out of harms way (her high active defenses). She can also mentally attack opponents in a number of frightening ways.

Deuce is also a powerful telekineticist, able to silently move objects with her mind and blast targets with telekinetic force.

Excerpt from Titans Reserve Interview #402 - DEUCE
...
Interviewer: "So why did you pick your name?"

Deuce: "You mean Amanda?"

Interviewer: "Well, no, but go ahead. Why did you choose to name yourself Amanda?"

Deuce: "Well, when I met Mrs. Waller - you know, the USA/JLU Liason, but at the time she was still head of Project Cadmus - when I met her I couldn't help but read her mind sorta, I hadn't been studying with Mento long enough and couldn't control it like I can now... anyway, I didn't mean to, but she had this incredible guilt she kept hidden, probably because she felt bad about Ace and the whole using kids as weapons thing... and I felt bad and wanted to let her know there wasn't any hard feelings, so I decided to call myself Amanda after her. She didn't show it, 'cuz I guess she likes seeming cool and in control and stuff, but I could tell she appreciated it. Also, I like the name Amanda."

Interviewer: "Ah. So, why did you pick the codename Deuce?"

Deuce: "Well, duh? Cuz of Ace. Its clever, isn't it? Ace came first, and I came after, so I'm Deuce, get it? I'm like her second chance."

Interviewer: "Second chance? What do you mean by that?"

Deuce: "Well... I know nobody likes to use the C-word around me, but I honestly don't mind it. I'm Ace's clone. I'm everything that I am because I got it from her: her looks, her powers. But I'm lucky because I didn't have such a crappy life as she did, and it really wasn't her fault. She got taken by Cadmus and didn't have a childhood, cuz of all the training and stuff.

"And everyone was always afraid of her. Even now. I obviously didn't know her, because she died before I was ever around, but whenever I watch the vids of her, I can see her sadness. And how lonely she was. If things had been different, if Ace had awesome parents and friends like I do now, I know she would have been a good person, and I want to prove that. I mean, I know everyone hates her, especially on Black Ace Day... isn't it enough to just remember everyone who died and NOT be so hateful? I mean, they don't have to burn pictures of her and stuff...

"Anyway, thats why I named myself Deuce, and thats why I wear a costume like hers - except I like hearts better than clubs - so that maybe, if I do enough good, they won't remember Ace as a monster. I feel like... like I owe her something. Because, otherwise I wouldn't have had such an awesome life. So. So thats why I want to join the Teen Titans - no, I didn't read your mind, but c'mon, obviously thats the whole point of this interview, right?"

Interviewer: "Er, correct. Um... ok,tell us what you can offer the Teen Titans."

Deuce: "Well, I'm a psychic. I'm not nearly as powerful as Ace was, but thats a good thing because thats what ended up killing her in the end... after they rescued me from Grodd and they realized my brain was still developing, and that, well, I was maturing super fast, like when they rescued me I was like 10, but I would have grown up to be like 20 in a week! ... wait, where was I? Oh yeah. Star Labs managed to do something that slowed down my growth and that also slowed down my brain development so that hopefully I won't end up having a brain aneurysm.

"Sorry, anyway, my point is, I'm a psychic. And a good one. Mento and Miss Martian are the best teachers ever, and they say my potential is the highest they've ever felt. Well, they don't say it, but they think it. And I'm going to help people however I can, anyway; if I didn't have powers, I'd study hard and become a social worker or a doctor or someone who helps people. But I DO have powers. A lot of power. And it should be used right.

"I've been really, really, really fortunate. I owe it to everyone, for, like, how great my life has been. And I owe it to Ace.

"My dream is to eventually join the Justice League, so I can help EVERYONE, globally, the way the Justice League helped Ace in Central Park, but until I'm old enough and experienced enough to join the League, I want to work with the best, and the best are the Teen Titans. I know that seems kind of simple, but my reasons are simple. So. So thats that."

Interviewer: "Well, I guess that is that. Is there anything else you'd like to say before we conclude?"

Deuce: "Um... yeah. Batman. Um. I know you've been watching over me, and I know you're going to be watching this, so I just wanted to say... thanks. And. Thanks for staying with her, in the end."

Re: Teen Titans NEXT - TITANS ARCHIVE!

Postby Warr » Sat Mar 26, 2011 12:31 am

“In the world of superheroes, there's no such thing as destiny. To those who can ascend beyond the bounds of mundane humanity, there is an infinity of possibilities. The ones whom that the masses call superheroes and supervillains are the gods of the new age, and can transcend the world. Transcend poverty, transcend hatred, transcend violence. But that doesn't mean having power makes you a great person, or guarantee that you're doing good. My mom always said that the real heroes were those who were mundane folks who tried to help other people, no matter their power. And the more powerful you got, the more you have to strive to be good, so I'm obligated to be a hero, Static! Plus the costume I have is cool, right?” -Garen Wendell MacArthur to Static

Players Name: Warr
Power Level: 10 (150 pp)
Unspent PP: 000

Name: Garen Wendell MacArthur
Alias[es]: 'Kid Static', 'Charge', 'Amp', 'Lightning Lad', 'Over-charge', 'Static-Charge', 'Nanoshock', Volt
Age: 15

Height: 5'9”
Weight: 150 Ibls.
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Blue
Description: Garen is a lanky fifteen year old boy, who has grown a whopping three inches since the incident which granted him the nanites which provide his powers, and since then his body has had an artificial growth spurt, flab turning into slightly toned muscles, which do not properly relay the physical strength and endurance which they have. Garen wears his hair at a medium length, with his hair barely keeping itself from covering his ears and some centimeters away from his eyes. He has a slightly tan tint to his skin, and a medium spectrum face which has aspects that seem aquiline and round 'common' features. His eyes, a stark blue, have a slightly asiatic shape to them, and his arms seem gangly compared to the rest of his body, as if implying that he is going to grow even more than he already has.

Typically when not heroing, he's found in simple blue jeans, an orange hoodie, and a t-shirt of one of the following colors. [Dark Blue, Green, Black, Maroon]- and when heroing he can be downright eccentric. The current set up he's given himself is a dark orange sleeveless hoodie, a skin tight dark blue t-shirt, a pair of dark orange shorts, and simple black and white running/tennis shoes. A dark blue mask in the style of Green Arrow, Nightwing, or Speedy, and no emblem marking his costume. This being only because Static refuses to take him on as his apprentice [or allow him to use the symbol], and because Garen has not come to a strong decision on what his own super heroic identity will be, it's far too likely that he'd be changing emblems weekly [as he changes his hero name], and he's not that good at sewing.

History:

Not every hero is predestined to be a hero, or born with power, and the slightest action can change your future. That's the kind of motto that Garen Wendel MacArthur grew up believing, from the time his slightly strange mother [who almost named him 'Grendel' but changed a few letters on impulse] could first talk to him. He lived a normal enough life for a kid of a single mother in a city like Dakota, and despite the fact that from the time he could watch himself he ended up being locked in his apartment when his mom could work, and reading comic books or watching TV [and seeing the exploits of the Justice League, but particularly Dakota's own Static and his friend Gear], he grew up healthy enough. With a bit of a complex towards superheroes and how people should be brave and help whenever they could, but no more than other kids.

He was happy, healthy, and well-fed, with his mom taking good care of him between her job as a nurse at Dakota General hospital, and generally having as much of her attention as he could want. When he didn't, he had the community recreation center to spend time with his friends from school and play basketball or swim. It was a good life, and he had enough friends, no real bullies, and occasionally got to see Static or Gear zooming through the sky. With slightly above average grades in school in everything but history [which he excelled in solely because he had a huge fascination with the story of people], he seemed likely to have an average life, and maybe with the help of a scholarship escape living in one of the worse neighborhoods of Dakota. He suffered occasion bad grades [because he didn't know how to get his head out of the clouds and because he was occasionally distracted by what he thought was a superhero zipping by in the sky], but most of those were from not doing his homework.

It was a fair enough life, if not a great life considering the city he lived in. He wasn't really in danger of gangs, he had food in his stomach every day, he had a roof over his head, and he had a loving parent. He was well liked enough, and he was generally considered 'average' by his fellow kids, despite the fact that he was a bit chubby and occasionally teased or bullied for that.

He was happy, but chased after the chance to see heroes in action. He had been told time and time again by his mother to stay away from any superhuman battle scenes, because she didn't want him hurt, and he tried to listen, but one day his excitement bested his judgment. A battle between the big leagues! He couldn't believe his eyes as he saw Brainiac and Static duke it out over the skies in Dakota, and as he watched from the fifth street park bench where he had first seen them duke it out, he saw that Static fought amazingly against Brainiac. The battle continued, up until the point that Brainiac knocked Static off of his “Static Saucer” and sent him nearly hurtling into the pond. Brainiac moved to continue his plan [whatever it was] with the assumption that Static would be the first to grab the “Static Saucer” and his battle plan would be complete.

But because of excitement and a lapse in Garen's own judgment, Static wasn't anywhere near the first one to grab it. Hoping to help the hero stop Brainiac before he got away, Garen rushed to the Saucer as the hero stumbled back up to his feet. Garen hoped to throw it to Static as it was closer to him than it was to Static, but as he grabbed it destiny finally hit the boy. Brainiac had left a trap which would presumably neutralize Static's powers at minimum, or kill him at maximum, a nanite plague spreading explosive canister, which exploded as Garen touched it, and sent the boy flying backwards, quickly invested with the nano-plague, which promptly began to eat at and destroy his body. Luckily, it was a slow process and Static was able to stop Brainiac and save the kid within a few hours.

Garen was taken by Static to the Watchtower without hesitation, for medical attention, as the kid was crying out in pain and had obvious infections from the Brainiac's statements involving the plague, and the fact that his veins were turning a grey or a glowing green. After review by the equipment in the Watchtower, the only thing that the Justice League could think to do to save the boy from the now far more rapidly spreading nanobot plague was for Static to 'shock them' into neutrality. Static did so, electrocuting the boy for a moment, and as Garen's vital signs seemed to go better, he was taken back home to his mom, with Static [still in costume] explaining what had happened, asking his mother to keep an eye on him [and contact static if anything happened or his condition worsened], and thanking Garen for his help, followed by reprimanding him, asking him to never try to 'play hero' again.

Months passed, and despite a few bouts of sickness as his highly weakened immune system tried to get stronger, Garen seemed to be okay. In fact, as he grew three inches taller, went from chubby to lanky, and felt stronger and more healthy than ever; he was more than okay. The nanite plague hadn't been neutralized, no, when Static sent the current through Garen, the nanites had instead been reversed in programming, and were making Garen stronger than he ever had been before, more healthy, and as he found out one day when his urge for heroics got the better of him and he jumped in front of a car to save a little girl from being ran over by its distracted driver- he had powers now too. The magnetic push of the car up into the air and the static flowing from his hands, and arms, even the fact that his eyes were glowing like blue lightning, they all pointed to the fact that he wasn't so normal anymore.

After making sure the little girl was safely on the sidewalk, he fled the scene and after a day of brooding Garen decided that it was a sign of things to come. His heroic act before had given him power, and somehow the nanites which were previously moving to kill him had given him immense power, and had given him power over electricity, made him stronger, tougher, more healthy. It made him like his hero, he had the power to be a hero, finally- and help people like Static did.

So 'Kid Static' as he dubbed himself [after coming up with his costume], began to sneak out of the house at night or whenever he heard of criminals on the radio [which he couldn't really explain the origin of, he heard the sound even if the radio was off], spun off to be a hero, and did well enough at first, making enough of a mark to bring him notice in the local Dakota media- and make Static hunt him down on one of his hunts, confronting Garen.

The young man revealed his identity to Static with glee, and declared that he was going to be Static's sidekick, only to be rebuffed by the older male. Static spoke of the danger, said he didn't want to be responsible for it, or for Garen to get hurt. Said that Garen shouldn't be trying to use those powers like that in the first place. And the boy responded to Virgil with the simplest of answers. “You did it.”

Garen left the scene at the time, and Static was left agape. He began to ponder his choices, the situation, it all. Would Garen stop his antics if Static refused him? Unlikely, it was hard to be a simple kid when you had that kind of power. Would he be safe or mentally okay if Virgil made him his sidekick? No, there was too much danger for young heroes and for sidekicks, period.

The answer came from his friend, Nightwing. The Teen Titans, and to such a prestigious name, how could Garen say no? He did, saying he didn't want to be in a different city than his mom, but after being thoroughly beat up by his rival, 'Steamstream lass', he ended up going to the Watchtower for the interview with the Justice League for membership in the Teen Titans. Interviewed by Mee'gan M'gozz, or Miss Martian, he went through a laundry list of questions and in the end, after said martian mentalist finished reviewing things and reading his mind, he was marked as honest, enthusiastic, and a good prospect for the Teen Titans, as he already has a good sense of responsibility, and an understanding of the consequences [after what happened with Brainiac]. Miss Martian finished the interview with the offer of helping him tell his mother, and he did, only to be hugged by his mother and then given a noogie [and a slight static shock to her in return for that, as Garen's body a static energy battery afterall], before she said simply. "I knew the whole time, you can't fool me... think I didn't notice the suddenly modified jacket of your's in the wash?" However, it was Static's influence that got him into Chapter 1, or very likely.

His mother had been offered a great paying job in Jump City by Wayne Enterprise in a Clinic, and so Garen began his path towards the Teen Titans enthusiastic, even if it was only a stepping stone to the big leagues, to being a real superhero!

Complications: Secret Identity: Garen's identity is secret to the common populace, and aside from the other Titans, The Justice League, and his mother herself, no one knows that 'Kid Static/Amp/Charge/The name of the week' is the same person as Garen Wendell MacArthur, and he goes to pains to keep it that way.
Reputation: Garen made a mark in Dakota before moving, and sent quite a few criminals [mundane and otherwise] to jail before his mother's transfer to Jump City, and has a reputation as being a wild but powerful little lightning wielder, like a less grounded version of his 'mentor'. In Dakota even before he gained powers, he had a reputation because his mother's family [the MacArthurs] were a long line of Irish Cops who were proud to be Irish, American, and from Dakota City. He was raised in Little Derry, an Irish Neighborhood within Dakota, but the surname was well known throughout it.
Power Loss: If Submerged in Water, or Drenched in water- Garen loses his powers until he dries out.
Motivation: Responsibility: Garen feels immensely responsible to protect people, even if he doesn't have the wisdom to protect himself at the same time. He feels with the powers which were bestowed upon him, he owes the world a hero, even if he isn't as close to being a hero as he thinks he is.
Motivation: Acceptance: Garen is motivated to be accepted by his hero, and the other adult heroes.
Limp Noodle: Garen is prone to monologues, melodramatic actions, and very often than not, things which he thinks are 'cool' but are actually nothing more than funny to other people.
Rival: Garen has gained himself a rival in his short time as a hero, and she's beat his butt pretty bad every time. Called 'Steamstream Lass' by Garen [isn't he clever], she's a steam using young meta, and very likely the daughter of Hot-Streak and Aquamaria.
Chivalry*: Garen is a true believer in Chivalry, and was raised by his mother in a way to reinforce this. He doesn't like to hit a girl, he always opens doors for them, and tries to do things like make sure they don't step in puddles, etc. He's also pretty bashful as a result of his chivalry, and worse because of the conflicting necessities of having to hit a supervillainess and of having been taught not to hit girls, it's not too hard to feign injury and make him feel guilty, or be properly distracted by it.

*Chivalry as understood by a 15 year old boy from the City of Dakota, mind you. Not the proper/true chivalry, but he thinks he's being chivalrous by doing such things.

“Puberty sucks, they're right about that- but I wouldn't call my unique problems the result of puberty, since the nanites, they've evolved to something bigger, badder, and mooooooreeeeee powerful. No seriously, have you ever found yourself statically clung to the ceiling, wrapped up in your blanket and dangling there just waiting to fall and break your arm? Well! Well! I have.”

Garen was a somewhat awkward kid before the incident, but he had adjusted to his body changing well enough to be used to it. But after the incident and the reverse of programming to the nanites via Static's electric shock, Garen hit a sizable growth spurt, and worse still found himself doing things no boy in his right mind would hope to find themselves doing. Hanging upside down from the ceiling via static cling? Dealing with messy hair that stuck up all over the place and that actually literally electrified any scissors coming near? Feeling like he'd been given sleeping pills after a shower? Dealing with glares as he literally rocketed ten feet above the basketball hoop when he was trying to dodge someone's defense?

It's awkward, and probably would've been less awkward if he hadn't dealt with it at the same time as the last stages of puberty, but Garen's body has grown considerably since the incident. The nanites which were originally retrofitted by Brainiac to become a nano-plague, returned to their original function, and went towards constantly working to heal him, to help him grow, and to mold him into the peak physical specimen which he could possibly be given the limitations of humanity. They've strengthened his muscles, hardwired his reactions, and work to stop diseases and poison as if they had become apart of his immune system; they did all of this, but they also worked as a physical restrain for his budding electrokinetic powers, while they continued to work on their own to do as they wished, they stopped his body from having an energy freak out for just enough days that as the nanites grew and continued to retrofit his body into closer to peak condition, they unlocked massive energy reserves within the boy. In the simplest of terms, as they rebuilt him, they pushed him to evolve into something above the capabilities of a normal young man.

And as they rebuilt him, the constant energy demands they had pushed his energy reserves further and further, and his body became more and more bio-electromagnetic, until the bioelectricity began to overload his body with electrical voltage, and cause him to do feats which were beyond that of the common man. The bioelectric energy has enhanced his natural speed, and while surprisingly and amazingly has built his metabolism up so much that it regenerates at an advanced speed, more surprisingly has allowed him to literally dissipate electricity that hits him, and manipulate it in ways to make his own physical capabilities higher than they normally are. The flaw of this is that, the electrical energy makes him very unlikely to be properly 'subtle' in most situations, and it also supercharges his body to the point it takes concentration to not zap someone who touches him.

“Static Voltage Overcharge...”:
Garen, like many children within the City of Dakota, had touched latent Bang Baby DNA and dealt with faint traces of Big Bang pollution within the area; as a result he had the chance simply waiting to become a metahuman. Not necessarily a Bang Baby or anything on that scale but beyond natural chance and the mutative pollution from the Big Bang that still lingered in Dakota, Garen had roughly a 2% chance of becoming a metahuman, or unlocking some metahuman talent. It so happens, that his emotive centers, and lobes within his brains are just the right shape that if he had gained those powers, it would have been electromagnetic in nature and more specifically, electrokinetic.

A lightning strike could've caused it, and granted him minor powers, but the composed lightning force of Static's electric shock pulled the trigger on his DNA, and it began to shift slightly and open his mental pathways to allow for electrokinetic manipulation. So too, thanks to the devouring energy of the nano-plague which had been reprogrammed to it's original purpose, an unconscious training regime began to make the boy evolve to the next stage. He could've redirected other electrical charges, yes, but never created his own bioelectrical pulses, at least not if the nanites hadn't constantly devoured his energy for days as they rebuilt and reshaped him, repairing the damage they had done and doing more.

But the strain on his body and his energy creating reserves as the nanites did there work were such that his body and electrokinesis began to wildly merge, multiplying the electrical creation the boy was able to create by a million fold, and electrifying his body to the point that he evolved into something parahuman. The mere energy force allowed him to mimic the powers of his idol, and do more with them than his idol had.

Robin as GM:The Watchtower.... At long last, you are HERE! [Kid] Static is intercepted almost immediately after showing you the main pillar, where Garen catches sight of several heroes and even a few people his own age... and after instructing you to follow the large red robot while he tends to league business, you are following in the footsteps of the Red Tornado.
Me as Garen: "Well see, I had some problems with getting here, malfuctions with water and dodging rain storms and uh, you know... sorry for being late!" As he walks through the pillars, his eyes wander to and fro, taking into account everything around him and especially taking note of the other heroes about, a stupid grin on his face despite the fact that he's late.
Robin as GM: "You seem somewhat distracted, young one. My apologies, I was not under the impression that Static had taken on a protege" is that Plastic Man!? WHOA! and Stars and STRIPES... talk about a hot older babe...and he's almost certain that for a moment (Just a moment) he see's the blur that could only be one of the three Flashes "You are here to interview for the Teen Titans I assume? It is normally the first thing beings of your age category attend to when brought on board the watchtower for the first time."
Me as Garen: Despite the fact that Red Tornado is guiding him, there's no answer for at least a minute and a half as his eyes run back and forth over them, and yes linger at Stargirl [Stars] for a few minutes. "Well, before Static suggested it because he doesn't want me sol- I mean running around as he protege in Dakota, but I told him I wouldn't leave my mom alone..." His eyes look around as if he is trying to concoct some story, and fails, looking down at the ground in shame of his lack of storytelling skill. "But then she got a job at a Wayne Corp Clinic, that's cool right? Wayne Corp!" He blinks, then tacks on: "And there's no reason to not check into the Titans now, I guess... it might be cool meeting other heroes my age... and I won't have to worry about dealing with her without backup either... darn Steamstream Girl." He resumes looking around, and realizes for the first second that Red Tornado is a ROBOT, which makes him look at the Robot with intense glares, as he tries to figure him out.
Robin as GM: In spite of being nearly 20 years old, The Red Tornado is easily the most advanced known android on Earth, and the only one to somehow developed true consiousness as opposed to just following programming. (the public is largely unaware of AMAZO)... a short time later, Tornado stops and turns on the spot, beckoning to the room* "You will find who you are looking for here momentarily.... " "Make yourself comfortable." *door opens to what almost looks like a counciler sort of office, no desk, just two futuristic looking chairs, a table, and some sodas.
Me as Garen: "You're not my interviewer...? Bu-bu-but... they use you as a butler?" *He follows the entrance, as he glimpses soda and charges at those treats... something mom rarely lets him have.* "Darnit, no Mountain Tornado... I liked citrus soda..." *Garen grabs a lemon-lime soda and sips it, adjusting his mask a bit to make sure it isn't lopsided, and to cool his statically charged nerves as he waited for the interviewer.
Robin as GM: "That is not the case, this was simply on my way, and those not granted at least a Level 5 League status are not permited to move though the Watchtower Unattended... If you would wait here for a moment, Miss M'oorze will be with you shortly." the door closes and he quickly realizes it won't open for him.
Me as Garen: He sits comfortably in the chair after realizing that, convinced he could blast his way out if he needed to.
Robin as GM: It takes a moment before the door opens again, revealing the interview; with brown hair, green skin, and in her black uniform.... a now 20 year old and fully matured Ms. Martian. "Hello...it's Garen isn't it?" she smiles sweetly as she says it. "I'm Mee'gan... I'm in charge of setting up your Profile for the Titans Initiative." As silence permeates the room, she tilts head slightly. "Helloooo", she waves hand in front of him, "Why does this keep happening to boys I meet?"
Me as Garen: Garen is indeed in a near trance at seeing Miss Martian, both as his fanboyism of heroes and heroines kicks in, and as he realizes that she beats Stargirl in a contest sixty times out of ten. There is a moment of hesitance, as he tries to think of a cool name... "I'm Garen, but you can call me..." Kid Static? Nah, Static might get angry! Over-charge? What was he a taxi? Live.. wire? He had heard that somewhere but he couldn't remember where.. "You can call me live wire, and it's because you're pretty, Miss Mart- I mean Miss Mee'gan..."
Robin as GM: She gives a slight smirk. "Livewire? Like the Human lightning bolt? Any relation?" she takes a seat next to him and waves her hand, a computer console suddenly rising out of the floor next to her seat. *not accusitory, but definately interested*
Me as Garen: 'Okay, scramble back there cowboy... Human Lightning bolt? WHY WAS EVERY GOOD ELECTRICITY BASED CODENAME TAKEN?' The thoughts penetrated his mind, and once against honesty was the only scrambling answer, because he couldn't story-tell to explain something like that. "No... I just heard it before and thought it was cool and untaken... I don't have a code name."
Robin as GM: "It's okay, those sort of things take time. Mine wasn't even my idea. It was given to me by Kid Flash back when I first came to Earth. But let's talk about you... " She taps the keys a bit. "For the records, could you tell me your name and where your from?"
Me as Garen: That comes like a lightning strike, "My name is Garen Wendell MacArthur... Almost was grendel, ew! But my mom named me that, and I'm from Dakota... you know, where Static's from?" of course Dakota had more than Static to lay claim to fame, but it was what Garen always thought of first. Static was awesome! He interjects- "I've been here before..." then looks around waiting for the next question.
Robin as GM: "So I'm guessing Lightning powers from the name... You're wanting to come on board with the Titans then?" She has a playful smile on her face, and Garen remembers this is an evaluation.
Me as Garen: "Yeah... I am applying for the Titans, because Static suggested it." He's never been to a job interview or anything like an evaluation, and his normal source of advise for something like that didn't help much because he couldn't very well tell he was applying for an internship at the Teen titan's tower as a superhero! "And my powers are electricity based, I think... I can do the stuff Static does, and sometimes more... I'm really strong! And can jump really high!"
Robin as GM: "That's sure to get you noticed. But why not try to go solo, you know... get some experience?" *Semi-Loaded question, but one they always ask.
Me as Garen: His instinct was not to lie, his tall tales had fell so far, so he answered honestly and without hestiation. "Because Static told me not too... and because there's this girl in Dakota who I can't fight... because mom said not to hit girls, and because she keeps using water powers so I can't even block her!"
"But also because what's the fun of being a superhero if you can't have friends who're superheroes too...? It's a lonely life without friends... and my friends don't even live by me anymore because I moved... and people don't like it when you rocket dunk over them in Basketball."
He looks at the ground, sighing. He wasn't sure how well this was going, but he figured answering truthfully might well be the best situation. "Also because not even Static could defeat Brainiac by himself." "He needed my hel-... scratch that."
Robin as GM: "Believe me, I understand that. Having these abilities seperates you. And that's part of what the Titans are all about. Making sure you are not alone. Learning how to control and work your abilities in these situations. ALthough I never had the chance to use my abilities for sports. Mars doesn't have much in the way of physical recreation." She sighs a bit. "But it's also dangerous. What about your family?"
Me as Garen: He might've responded to Miss Martian's statement with enthusiasm and 'oooh, I want to know more!' but her question about his family took precedence. It was a sensitive issue. "I have a mom, she loves me and I love her, and she works hard and has told me how to be a good person.... that's it." There's something about the tone the fourteen year old puts on that implies he doesn't want more questions about his family* or "well what about you dad?"
Robin as GM: He doesn't catch the slight eye glow she takes on and and she dismisses it with a blink. "You need to tell her." "Believe me, when you're out doing your own thing, it's hard enough to keep the people you care about safe. But if they don't even know, it's even harder. Besides, while she may be in the city, it would be... 'unwise' to move constantly between a Titan Tower and your family home." "Most Titans live on site... not to say you need to cut ties but, this is a situation where she cannot be kept in the dark." she looks to him expectantly, this is an important point.
Me as Garen: He gulps, there's few things he fears as much as what his mom's reaction would be when he tells her about how he's a superhero now and how he's joining the Teen Titans and stuff. But nods. "You're right, I do. She's my only family and I don't want to be like my dad, he left us without a word when she found out she was with child..." he glares, as if that's one of the most villainous things he thinks someone can do, but doesn't hestitate. "Plus it'd make her wonder less about where I was or why I disappeared when there was a threat to Jump City... and she'll know she wasn't imagining things when she thought she saw Static after he saved me..."
Robin as GM: "We'll help how we can... would you like me to come with you?" *pulls herself up... is that it? Really? The interveiw is over?*
Me as Garen: He blinks, was the interview over already, really? The way she worded it... was he in the Teen Titans now? "Well... yeah, you could come with me to tell her... but I should tell her first, you can just prove to her that I'm not lying or fibbing."
Robin as GM: "Well," her outfit melts into her and she retains her features except appearing as an adult social worker.

Justice League Dossier:
First discovered in London by JLU Member: Dr. Fate, the creature known as Nights has been studied by both scientific and supernatural agents of the League who agree that the only solid understanding of her abilities and history are those that come from the creature herself, Record of debreifing follows:

Interviewer: "Who, and what, are you?"

Subject: Nights: "My name is Nights and I am a figment of your imagination. *giggles* "I mean that quite literally of course. I'm a collection of thought and emotion that's setled and taken form around a solid core. Don't ask me how it works... you might as well ask a pre-schooler how this fancy house of yours...what did you call this place, 'The Watchtower'? Stays in the sky."

Interveiwer: "Where are you From?"

Subject: Nights: "I am from a realm of existance that your sages have called by many names. The Night Dimension, the Collective Subconsious, and the Psycho-plane. I think the most descriptive of these names however is 'The Dreamscape '. It's a place where all of the energy generated by dreams is collected, stored, and then given back at regular intervels in the form of creative energy and imaginary bursts to the individuals of this Realm.
There is life there of course, after all, Dreams by their very nature are an act of creation. We are solid cohesions of thought given form and identity by you...well, all Five Billion of you that is, dreaming and thinking together, all of that excess energy of thought being thrown into a melting pot to create our world. You have been there before, quite often actually. Not that you actually remember it. Nobody does, nor do your kind realize that it's more than random images that happen to pass though your mind as you sleep. Too bad really, it is such a lovely place, chaotic though it is."

Interviewer: "Then what are you doing here?"

Subject: Nights : "I was bored, curious, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I guess I was looking for some fun, started prodding around at the boarders of reality. Found a weak-spot that I managed to make my way though and, well, here I am."

Interviewer: "Dr. Fate has indicated there is some unusual activity in the realms of existance outside our own that nobody has been able to account for. It hasn't caused any trouble yet, but do you know anything about it?"

Subject: Nights: *a moment of hesitation* "No...I can't say I do. I don't really keep up with that sort of thing."
*End Record*

According to League Members Dr. Fate, Raven, and Zatanna, there has never been a record of a creature like Nights having been able to manifest with any stability in the material plane of existence, and by all that is understood about the Dreamscape itself, such a feat should be impossible as the material that makes up her body (a semi-solid energy she refers to as 'Dream-Fluff) should have dissipated upon entering the mortal world.
In the months since her discovery, it has been evaluated that her maturity and intellectual capacity are on par with a young adult between the age of 13 and 16 and various tests have shown both an eagerness to help others and unique ability to do so.

Secret Origin: **Known only to Nights herself and Dr. Fate, in whom she's confided**
It all began, with a girl named Allison Tate, born in London. Quite Bright and Creative child, at Four Years old with her entire life ahead of her. A life tragically stolen away from her on a rainy night by a drunk driver.
Although the young child survived, Allison was rendered catatonic by her injuries and to this day has remained in a vegitative state.

Or at least that is what is believed.
Although the occurance is rare, it was known to happen. Unlike most comatose people, Allison Tate's mind was not lost or shut completey down the day that her body ceased to function in the waking world. She could still dream, fully and completely as her mind had no other refuge, and locked inside the dreamscape, she grew...she changed...she adapted. . Seconds Passing by like years, all of the rules of the young child had known but not understood... gravity, physics, the laws of reality itself... became unraveled. Here she could do anything... Here she could be anything. And she learned that she was not alone.

Taken in by others like herself, dreamers that had come to be stuck in this place and had become so much more, They taught her that nothing mattered here, and that unlike those that passed breifly though their home of the Dreamscape, the mere sheep brimming with emotion and energy, they were a dominant form of life.
They were the Nightmaren, the Predators of the Dreamscape and a crucial part of the balance of their world. As was the will of Morphius, the Endless Lord of Dreams, their task was to inflict horrors on their victims, eliciting the darker aspects of emotion to fuel the Dreamscape.

Image
Neera the Nightmaren

And she learned these lessons well. In time, Allison had ceased to be...and in her place, the Nightmaren known as 'Neera'.
Manipulative, Cunning, and Cruel, Neera spent what seemed like lifetimes at her task, tormenting the dreamers that crossed her path and feeding on their anxiety and fear. Content in the company of her kind.

And then the unspeakable happened as no creature of the Dreamscape could have imagined. As Morphius: the King of Dreams, Endless Lord of Creation, All Powerful and Eterna... Died.
Shattered in combat with a entity so great it threatened all known realms of existance, the mantle of The Sandman was passed to a mortal, Daniel Hall, who lacked the awesome power and control of his predecessor.
But more than anything, the new king lacked the respect of his subjects, who almost immediately devolved into a frenzied free-for-all in the Dreamscape, preying upon one another and the dreamers almost at random as the most powerful of the Positively-Charged Dream Lords and Negitively-Charged Nightmaren carved out their own fiefdoms in the chaotic realm.

Unlike the rest of her Kin however, Neera did not engage in this Civil War.
For she had struck upon a new, original, completely 'IMPOSSIBLE' idea. Something that no Nightmaren had ever considered before, much less attempted.

'Escape'

To do so she would need power, much more than just what she or any mere Nightmaren gathered on their own. She understood the Dreamscape now and how the realm worked. She knew that all power came from Dreamers and that they were strongest when the Emotions were mixed and given form with raw imagination and willpower. And no creature was stronger in the realm of dreams than a human child.
And so she began to harvest them, finding a localized spot where many children in the same area emerged fairly regularly into the dreamscape every night and began to herd them away from her Nightmaren kin and their counterparts, the Dream-Lords... much to the outrage of both sides, and kept them hidden away and safe for as long as they remained in the dreamworld.

She was Kind...She was supportive and encouraging... winning their trust as she showed them the wonders of the Dreamscape and protected them from the 'Monsters' that lurked in the fields of imagination.
And they remembered her. first as just a dream...then as more children began to realize they shared the image in their nightly ventures, she became an idea.... which gave away to drawings and stories passed among more children in the waking world to make her something more than that as many of the children she 'helped' came to a single belief.
That she was 'Real'.

As this false image of Neera was idolized over, granting her greater ability and power as dozens turned into over a hundred children, tensions exploded as both sides of the Dreamscapes Conflict came down on her, intent on taking back what she had (in their eyes) Stolen away and horded from them. Finally, one Warm Spring Night in London, Neera gathered together all of the children she had groomed for this occassion, sweetly manipulating them into helping their nightly hero to see the wonder of their world as she had shown them the wonders of hers.

Many forces attempted to stop her, empowered as she was by the belief of so many powerful dreamers as she raced to the edges of the Dreamscape, unaware of the consequences of her actions...or the effect that the very power she had manipulated out of her 'charges' was having on her. She did the Impossible.
And broke though the already weakening barrier between Dream and Reality. Emerging though a physical doorway, the now fifteen year old body of the still comatose and near forgotten Allison Tate, the shock and backlash of such intense power of belief all but tore apart the selfish nightmaren known as Neera, her mind altered (Warped some might say) by the very mortal dreamers she had intended to use.

Image
"What am I now?"

Quite unexpectedly, her mind was filled with a rush of humanity and moral conscience that was completely alien to her, and she would later realize that having exposed herself to such a powerful belief that she was a hero, the children who had aided in her escaped had destroyed the Nightmaren... creating something completely new in both Reality and Dreamscape.

Confused and floating though the London Skyline, unable to make heads or tails of what she was or what she was feeling, this new creature sought out in the waking world the children who aided her in the Dreamscape...all of whom had been thrilled to see her and treated her as a hero would be expected to be treated, new and powerful emotions fed to her directly and in a raw form that was never seen in the Dreamscape.
One of them, a young, creative artist named Tabitha, gave her a picture drawn of what she had 'remembered' of their Dream's Hero...and a half remembered name.

Image
Tabitha's Sketches

"You see, Nights....it's you."

Overwhelmed, Neera was finally completely abandoned in favor of a new Life and new Existance while 'Nights' learned from the children about the things Heroes did while keeping herself hidden from the children's parents (believed by many to be an 'imaginary friend') as she learned to alter and control her abilities, which had changed dramatically in the physical world.
For nearly six months she kept to herself as she altered her image and became used to her newfound mindset before an incident involving a school bus who's brakes had failed brought her to the attention of the Justice League, her powers having allowed her (with difficulty) to phase the bus though a series of buildings to keep it from crashing before it went over the edge of a bridge and catching the driver who had fallen from the broken windshield when the bus had nearly gone off the bridge, caught by Dr. Fate of the Justice League who set the bus down and turned his attention to the dream creature that was immediately swarmed by her young fans.

Both intrigued by her existance and disturbed at what her presence in the Mortal Realm could signify, the powerful mage brought her to the attention of the Justice League and has since sponsered Nights for the Teen Titans.

Image Nights

Unbeknowst to her or her new patrons, Nights' escape from the Dreamscape has not gone unnoticed by either her former Kin who now set to 'take advantage' of Neera's Impossible Success.... or the New Sandman himself, who watches events unfold with interest.

Personality:
Intellectually and physically below average while being quite charming and agile, Nights fills in her lack of understanding of many aspects of normal life with humor and has the wonder of a child when encountering new things. While she refuses to believe in some concepts that are hard facts for others ("Gravity? What is that?" ) She is also keenly aware of the hardships of others around her and will do everything she can to cheer up those who are upset... although if this is for their sake or her own, is unclear.
Nights emotional state is often a reflection of those around her. A natural Empath, she can sense and feed upon the emotions of others which in turn fuels what she is feeling at any given time. However, she has come to enjoy many aspects of human life and loves to get a rise out of those around her, be it with a startling scare or encouraging a laugh. ( In short, she is a combo between Starfire as a blond and Beastboy in personality)

Physical Description:
Image
While humanoid in a loose term of the word, Nights could not be mistaken for 'normal' by anybody even at range. Her movements and physical composure are often discribed as 'Cartoonish' and her body lacks anything that resembles an anatomically correct physiology (no sign of internal organs or even a brain) she seems to exist completely independent of biological law. Her proportions are completely inhuman, a scrawny body lacking in any curves with abnormally hands and lower legs in proportion to her arms and hips respectfully.
Her head is perfectly round (minus her horns and hair, which are discussed below) and she has no visible nose. but this is far less disturbing to onlookers than the fact that her head is not ATTACHED to her body, lacking a neck, Nights has demonstrated on multiple occassions being able to completely detatch her own head. Although this doesn't seem to have any 'practical' application besides a shock factor. Also for shock factor, although not immediately evident, her 'grin' has a frightening aspect as she has inadvertantly caused terror in those around her by revealing a set of perfectly aligned, pearly-white, razorsharp teeth. These seem to be for show only however as any attempt made to test her 'biting' strength ended up with her intimidating teeth simply passing though instruments and assurance that she is unable to 'bite down' on anything.

Often seen wearing a striped purple harlequin style head-peice reguardless of her other clothes (which she can manipulate at will, again adding to her cartoon like demeanor) this doubles to hide a pair of large white horns that protrude from the top of her head as well as her long blond hair. (She claims she does this due to several accusations of her being 'Demonic' although she claims to not understand such a concept) Nights is rather tall for her age (just under six foot) but very lith and Incredibly light to the touch when allows herself to be solid. She has never been properly weighed as she doesn't seem capable of experiencing gravity, and is always floating at least a vew milimeters above a solid surface rather than walking on it, giving her the appearance of constantly hovering.

Complications:

Addiction: Emotional Vampire
Some critics have accused Superheroes of thriving on the gratitude and reaction that they elicit from fans and well wishers, calling them Glory-Hounds or Spotlighters.
In Night's case, she refers to it as 'Snack-Time'.

Nights does not have the bodily functions or eat food as humans do, in fact her entire body is made up of a solidified and highly malluable energy form she refers to as 'Dream-Fluff' that allows her to pass though Solid Objects and perform her miriad of other inhuman abilities. However, the cost is that the 'Fluff' must be constantly maintained. And to do this requires Nights to almost constantly bathe in the emotions of others, often causing her to attempt to stimulate stronger feelings from those around her (thus her personality and chaotic endevors at self-entertainment.)
While her diet contains both positive and negitive emotional states from any sentient being she encounters., her favored 'prey' is the potent joy and happiness of younger children. Thus leading to her Reputation as a hero focused on protection of youth.

Being cut off from other living, feeling beings for any extended length of time (more than an hour or two) quickly depletes her and leads to an emotional withdrawl that will break her down into a desperate, weaknened, helplessly irrational state in a matter of hours.

Motivation: Protect the Children

Nights has a soft spot for younger children and will go out of her way to protect or pull them out of danger, heedless of any consequence. This can, unfortunately, be used against her to force her into rash decisions or actions as she never thinks twice where they are involved (refering to children as below the age of 12 or so)

Disability: Hopeless Illiterate
Nights cannot read. It's not that she never learned (she'll tell you she is not 'THAT' dim) it's that she cannot under any circumstances do it. This being due to the energy and creation of dreamscape and all of it's inhabitants involving various energy processes of the sentient brain, and in the 'Earth' area of the Dreamscape, that is manifested as human dreams. Absent from this however is the portion of the brain deticated to calculation and reading. For humans this makes it impossible to read or understand mathamatics while in a classic dream state.. and means that the creatures who are part of this psycho-dimensional Dreamscape have no ability to imitate these skills taken for grated by the waking world.

Secret: Fates Entertwined
Image
Allison Tate, Age 15
Known only to Dr. Fate and the Chapter's Justice League Monitor, the comatose, yet still alive body of Allison Tate is now kept hidden away in Night's new home, Titan's Tower. Daily tended to by Nights (who has no other bodily needs) nobody else realizes that the helpless, dreaming invalid IS Nights. Feircely protective of her and reguarding her very existance on Earth as being in sync with Allison's continued life , it is Night's greatest fear that if anything unforseen happens to Allison or if the comatose girl ever somehow 'wakes up', it will be the end of her existance.

Location: Titans Tower

Postby RobinShirewood » Sat Mar 26, 2011 9:44 pm

Location : TITANS TOWER
Image

The Iconic Home of the Teen Titans of Jump City and the original inspiration for the design of many other Headquarters Towers (Most Notably Titans East, Metropolis, and UK) . Titans Tower is part Crime-fighting Headquarters, Part Monument, and part Home. The current Titans tower is actually the second built on this location as the original tower was left in ruins over six months ago in an attack by the 'Cult of Hades' on the Second Team of the Teen Titans.

Location: In Jump City Bay, the Tower demands the attention of City Goers looking out towards the Pacific Ocean. Inaccessible by land, the Titans Tower sits atop the largest of several large atoll-like islands that sit nearly dead-center in the bay. With the notable exception of the Hall of Justice (in Washington DC), Titan's Tower is the only publicly recognized 'Super-Team' Headquarters as most are hidden in some way from the general public as well as the enemies of such heroes and is a featured landmark of Jump City. (Although referred to, the locations of places such as the Batcave and the Fortress of Solitude are completely unknown and even though the Watchtower 'is' famous, it's exact location in orbit and projected orbit are not known thanks to a cloaking technology that hides it from 'visual' and sensor detection from Earthbound Forces.)
This publicity has been both blessing and curse for the Titans of the past (the latter due to their headquarters being a target and the former due to the fact that their presence serves as inspiration to Jump's citizens (and to the City, a multi-billion dollar tourist attraction)

History: The Titan's Atoll (a series of 3 islands in Jump City bay, the largest of which measures a mere 98 Cubic yards) was originally home to a STAR lab outpost in the mid-1970's which was abandoned and dismantled a mere four months after it was made operational for reasons never disclosed to the public. Although tales had existed for over a hundred years about the Atoll being 'Haunted', such myths were less trouble for potential owners than the logistics of tending to such a remote location.
Nearly 13 years ago, a private trust-fund owned by "Gailin's Philanthropies" (a dummy corp used by Wayne Enterprises) Purchased the Atoll from the Jump City for just under a million dollars and began construction of what would become the first Titans Tower. Although it is not clear when the Tower's purpose became 'public', the wide acceptance of the Team of Young Heroes in Jump City and the appeal of the Tower itself (Unique and awe-inspiring in spite it's apparently simple design) led the local government to give a large degree of support to their teen protectors. (although this has waxed and waned due to situations in politics and the city itself).

Although it came under attack several times and was damaged several times(Even being occupied by forces of the H.E.A.Y.P. (Hive) for several hours during it's early months of operation) Funds always seemed to appear to allow for almost immediate reconstruction and repair.
Nearly Seven Years ago, the Original Titans vacated the Tower upon acceptance into the Justice League and it was believed for a short time that Titans Tower was to be made into a historical museum commemorating the young heroes. This intention never came to fruition due to the Justice Leagues and United Nation's approval of the TItans Next Initiative, which made the Atoll and the Tower officially the property of the JLU.

Titans Tower's new occupants (Sometimes called the New-Titans) were among the first members of the Titans Next Initiative
The original tower continued it's service for over five more years as headquarters for the New Titans against an admittedly large Rogue's Gallery. However the Tower itself came under siege (literally) by the forces of an organization called the 'Cult of Hades' which had gained demonic powers though dealings with the imprisoned Greek God of the Dead. Although the New Titans were successful in thwarting the plans of their leader to unleash Hades himself (exploiting the blood of Wonder-Girl, the daughter of Zeus) upon the modern world, Titan's Tower was devastated beyond repair in the final battle and in the aftermath, the New Titans were accepted with honors into the Justice League after facing down such a threat. (although they had to officially wait several months for Wonder-Girl, the team's leader' to meet the required age limit). The youngest of the New Titans, the now experienced 'Alter' requested and was granted the Team Leader position of Titan's Orient in his home of Japan.

The second Titan's Tower was officially made operational on the 5th of May this year and was built to almost perfectly mirror the original tower's design right down to the Original Titan's choice of furniture (without the modifications made by the New Titans) with the exception of a more advanced security and self-defensive system.
On May 15th, without the fan-fair or ceremony held for the 'New Titans', a third team of Teen Titans that had been selected by Nightwing was quietly moved into the tower.

Occupants of Titan's Tower:

Original Teen Titans - Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, Terra (temporarily) JLU Supervisor: (None officially, but after tenure as titans, was discovered that The Batman made regular evaluations of the Titans)

JLU Profile
Nightwing
Image
Position: Senior Member - Justice Leage, Director : Titan's Next Initative.

The Hero formerly known as Robin (not to be confused with Red Robin, his successor as part of the Dynamic Duo) Nightwing was the Original Teen Titan. Setting out on his own at the age of 14 as an independent hero, the young Robin ironically went from being part of a Duo to leader of a five member Team.
Since the disbanding of the original titans, which were absorbed into the Unlimited Justice League (some point after the Third Apocolypse Invasion), Nightwing has proven a worthy successor to The Batman, even taking his place among the Founders and Senior Members of the Justice League when the Batman retired from the Justice League's Planet-Wide Defense in order to better protect his neglected home of Gotham.
The Archetech of The Titans Next Initative, Nightwing spoke before the full assembly of the UN personally to institute the formation of the Titans to a thunderous applause and 94% approval among the gathered delegates who agreed under the provision that the obviously passionate Nightwing take place as the Director along with his responsiblities to the Justice League.

Today, Nightwing is a highly visible and respected hero among the Elite of the Justice League. Those in the League itself and without are also keenly aware of the romantic relationship between him and the Tameranian Princess: Koriand'r (aka Starfire, another fomer Titan). Although rumored among gossip mongers, it is unknown if they have become legally married.

JLU Profile
M'gann M'orzz / Miss Martian
Image
Position: Justice League Member, Titans Next Supervisor (Chapter 1) , JLU Certified Counciler

M'gann's history is full of contradictions. A green martian (in spite of earlier belief that the Martian Race had been rendered Extinct), M'gann was brought to Earth by her 'Uncle' J'onn J'onnz (the Martian Manhunter) more than three years after he had apparently disappeared and after introducing her to Nightwing for the Titans Next initative, he disappeared again into the Population of Earth.
M'gann was the oldest among the New Titans with the exception of Kid Flash, who after only a year took on his mentor's roll as 'Flash' and joined the Justice League itself. However she never saw herself a a leader and refered the roll to the 2 year younger Wonder-Girl.
Although at first viewed with suspicion (due to a history of 'shape-shifting aliens' infiltrating the Justice League, M'gann won the trust and approval of her fellow titans after several trials by fire (sometimes literally, much to her dismay) and became an official citizen of the USA shortly after her 18th birthday.
With her new status, she attended Jump City University in her off-duty time and quickly aquired a degree in human psychology.

Now at 21 (according to her biography, however there has been some discreptecy in both martian physical maturity and chronilogical age) she appears to have changed very little aside from growing taller and filling out a bit. Due to her degree and innate ability as a counciler (people felt 'comfortable' opening up with her, even reserved and secretive superheroes) , Miss Martian was granted a higher Clearance than her peers and quickly voulenteered to Supervise the next group of Teen Titans (lifting the task from Nightwing).

Cheerful with a defined 'Big Sister' role among the Titans, M'gann is a friendly and yet protective guardian for the Titans Next.

Titan's File - Capt. Lance

Postby RobinShirewood » Wed Apr 06, 2011 12:18 pm

Titan's Tower Archive: Ally Files

Captain Edward Lance

Image
Occupation: Captain, Jump City Police Department.

File: Not all heroes wear capes and costumes. Edward Lance is a life-long citizen of Jump City and has spent the past twenty-years on the Force to Protect and Serve. Now a Captain of the 8th Precinct (governing a large portion of Jump City's Southern District and Coastline).
Originally an opponent of the formation of the Teen Titans, particularly after several incidents involving the Titans themselves (most notably the Prom Night Nightmare in which Titans Robin and Starfire were reported having endangered a yacht filled with innocent students during a firefight without any understanding of why they were there), The Twenty-Six Hour Occupation of Jump City by the Criminal Slade and his expulsion by the Titans brought him into a more appreciative frame of mind regarding the work and sacrifices of these younger heroes.

Today, the hard working Father of Two is a fixture on the scene of city authority and it has often been said that if he could stomach the politics, he could easily run for the position of Commissioner of Police.

Professor Suppressor

Postby RobinShirewood » Wed Apr 06, 2011 8:32 pm

Titans Tower Archive: Rogue's Gallery

Professor Suppressor / Emile Gragg
Image

First Encounter: Axis Chemicals Administration Offices, May 21st, 20xx

Known Powers: Mental Manipulation (Altering Memories and perspectives), Psionic Blast, Limited Mind-Control, Psychic Force-Field, Capable of Dampening mental abilities of others.

Current Status: Custody of STAR, Currently incarcerated in California's Powered-SuperMAX Penetentary (Secure Facility located North of Jump City)
Occupation: Information Broker, Corperate Espionage, Product Aquisition

Listed Criminal Offenses: Assault, Multiple Charges of Illegal Mental-Manipulation (persuant UN Meta-Human Rights Act #23 and US Psychic Prohibition 2, 13, and 27), attempted grand larceny, espionage, Multiple Counts Assaulting federal Employee's, Corperate Tresspassing, Property Damage,

File: Fingerprinting following his capture identified the meta-human known as "Professor Suppressor" as Emile Gragg, a misdemeanor offender arrested for disorderly conduct at a Frat-Party some three years ago. Formerly a resident of Metropolis who attended the city's namesake University for half of semester before he was arrested and immediately dropped out of school, disappearing as the charges against him were mysteriously dropped.
Unwilling to cooperate with investigators even while restrained by a Neural Inhibitor, Suppressor's activities over the past three years since that disappearance are unknown, as is the source of his ability to alter and manipulate the memories of others as his previous record shows no hints of meta-human ability.
Given Gragg's prefered Operation Method, using manipulated unwilling individuals as tools to be discarded while remaining in the background, it is possible (Even Likely given the practiced nature of the Axis Chemical Incident) that he has been involved in the past with similar robberies. The standing hypothosis indicating that Suppressor was unaware of Axis' Higher-Grade Administrators being implanted with Neural Scramblers to sheild against mental attack, allowing one of the men working late to trip an emergency alarm.

Psycha the Mad

Postby RobinShirewood » Fri Apr 08, 2011 9:42 pm

Titans Tower Archive: Rogue's Gallery

Psycha The Mad
Image

First Encounter: New Titans: Jump City Fairgrounds, Feb 14, 20xx (4 years ago)
Teen Titans Next : Treasure Chest Jewelry, June 7th, 20xx (current year)

Known Powers: Material Transmutation, Telekinesis, Random Bursts of Psychotic Insight, Obsessive Dementia

Current Status: At Large!

Occupation: Super-Villain, Psyche Patient, Queen of the Kadunkaplunks (self granted title), Mrs. Alter

Listed Criminal Offenses: 384 Counts of destruction of private property, 432 Counts of destruction of Public Property, 129 Counts of Civilian Assault with Meta-Human Powers, 3 Incidents involving hostages, 14 Counts of Malicious use of Peanut Butter, 1 Count of assault with a squid.
Other Offenses: Over the years, Psycha has Confessed to 3817 Counts of Jaywalking, Multiple Counts of Impersonating a Deity, 2 counts of 'Poor Fashion Choices', and the utter destruction of the UrOOm Empire and it's 3 Trillion Citizens. Investigation to these claims pending.

File: The Girl known as Psycha is simultaneously a mega-level threat and a pitiful victim. A meta-human of unknown origin, Psycha has appeared at random over the last four years, devastating all in her path until confronted by (and to date defeated at every encounter with) the New Titans. (The attempts of any other forces to assault her ending in horrible casualties)
Obviously suffering from several variations of Delusion and Dementia, Psycha is noted for attacking places of high 'material' and 'sentimental' value, but rather than stealing, tends to destroy the property.

One constant of this 'randomness' seems to be an obsession with the Teen Titan known as Alter, who was until recently a member of the Jump City Teen Titans. A transmuter with powers not unlike her, her fixation is thought to go beyond stalking or even maniac obsession as psyche analysis (from a distance) have come to the conclusion she commits her crimes and does her deeds almost solely to get the Titan's attention in a desperate, twisted plea for affection.

It is highly cautioned NOT to underestimate this meta-human. It is also unknown of how firm her grip on reality is. To date, she has never been held captive for longer than a twelve hour period, either vanishing without a trace or 'transmuting' even the best precautions that STAR and CADMUS have to offer in restraint.

Another odd bit of insight to note is that Psycha has not changed or aged in the slightest bit since her debut, still appearing as a 14/15 year gold girl in spite the fact that she should be approaching 19/20

Wah!!! A new kind of Joker! A greet cheer for our newest mad-vilain! :D
Seriously, I like her... :)

I also like Nights and her background... and for a good reason. I wanted to create such a character, such semi-toon and immaterial character but as for background, I was more thinking a magicien experience who gone in a unexpected way... like a genious wizard kid imaginary companion gaining a mind of his own :)

I wish you done those character in 2E, since Im not planning to upgrade to 3E anytime soon LOL :p

Archive File: The Original Teen Titans.

Postby RobinShirewood » Sun Apr 10, 2011 12:06 pm

Titans Tower Archive: Allies

The Original Titans
Image

Base of Operations: Titan’s Tower, Jump City, California: USA

Members:
Robin: Team Leader : Batman’s Legacy.
Then:Image

At the age of 14, The Boy Wonder was easily a match for nearly any mundane criminal that would cross his path and trained in the method of deduction by the World’s Greatest Detective himself. Their seperation apparently stemmed from a difference in philosophy that caused the already strong-willed Robin to leave his home of Gotham and try to find his own footing. Following a weapon smuggling operation off the East Coast to California, Robin arrived in Jump City to confront the smugglers the night that a gordanian ship happened to be passing though Earth’s Solar System with a very particular prisoner on board.

Today, Robin has adopted the identity of ‘Nightwing’ and is a senior member of the Justice League and Director of the Titan’s Next Initative, as well as the husband of Koriand’r.

Abilities: Martial Training, Deductive Skills, Array of Equipment (much based on the Batman’s Utility Belt) Leadership.
--------------------------------------

Starfire/ Koriand’r : Princess of Tameran

Then: Image

Now:
Image

Princess of the Tameranian Empire, Koriand’r of Tamaran is the heir to a powerful Warrior Empire in a far reach of the Galaxy (refered to by the Lantern Corp as Sector 2910). When her escort ship was captured by the Gordanians, she was intended to be a prize for the Emperor as a show of prowess. Instead, the Warrior Princess broke free of her cell and forced the transport down on the nearest inhabited planet she could find: Earth.
Whatever Fate or chance led her to the small Green and Blue planet , she quickly learned that the Gordanians (and many others of the Galaxy who had encountered it’s Champions) tried to avoid the primitive world like the plague and dared not pursue her in force. She was further shocked to find allies among the inhabitants willing to aid her at great risk to their own life for no other reason than because it was the ‘Right Thing’ to do.
Quickly becoming smitten with Earth Culture (and a particular Boy Wonder), Starfire stepped away from her royal heritage in favor of a new home and new friends.

Today, Kori is a much loved member of the Justice League and an unofficial Den-Mother for the new generations of Titans. Also recently discovered, she is about to become a true mother as well, pregnant by her husband, Nightwing.

Abilities: Flight, Super Strength, Energy Bolts, Unusual Appetite, Excessive Cheerfulness
---------------------------------------------

Cyborg: The Awesome One.

Then & Now :
Image

Before The Accident:
Image

A native of Jump City, Victor Stone was the son of reputed Cyberneticist, Dr. Alexander Stone, a pupil of the Infamous Professor Ivo (Creator of Numerous Cybernetic Wonders, including the Red Tornado, A near-perfect Superman Duplicate, and the AMAZO android) . Blessed with both a brilliant intellect and an imposing physique, a full but normal life lay ahead of this hard working athlete scholar. However, an explosion in his father’s lab (the cause never truly discovered) all but destroyed the young man, leaving him broken and near death. Desperate to save his son, Dr. Stone performed an experimental (and by all accounts ’illegal’) degree of cybernetic prosthetic assimilation that had been adapted from a scrapped military enhancement program. . Although his life was saved, the cybernetic features singled Victor out from the rest of humanity, causing him to become bitter and angry.
Impounded by his father’s death under ‘mysterious circumstances’, Victor abandoned his life and wandered alone on the streets of Jump with no direction.
Until a Spikey-haired 14 year old and an alien princess crossed his path, chased by horrible lizard-like aliens.

Today, Of all of the Titans, Cyborg has changed the least, at least physically. Due to the nature of his impants, he is unable to grow any further (although his stature is already impressive) and he has kept his superficial armor and appearance in ’Classic’ condition. Cyborg is one of the world’s foremost Technical Genius’ and has the unique position of ‘Tech-Master’ for all JLU installations. Although he jokes that this makes him the equivilent of a ‘Super’s ‘Super “(as in Super-intendent), it is obvious that he loves his work, keeping busy between missions where he gets to kick butt.

Abilities: Technical Skill, Super-Strength, Upgradable Systems, Sonic Cannon, Cybernetic Armor.
-----------------------------
Raven: Last Daughter of Azarath.

Then:
Image

Now:
Image

Raven was and remains a very private individual. It is known she is extra-dimensional and was ‘placed’ on Earth by the monks of her home-dimension of Azarath to escape the ‘Prophecy of the Gem’, whereas her ‘Home’ would be destroyed by the dimensional demon tyrant known as ‘Trigon the Terrible’ (who was later discovered to be Raven’s own father).
After meeting and being accepted by the Titans, Raven spent the next three years of her life constantly struggling against a prophecy made at her birth that she would be the catalyst for the destruction of her Home, at first believing it to be Azarath, and then coming to discover the prophecy referred to the world she had been placed in to escape that fate as Azarath was obliterated by Trigon in spite of her absence.
In the end, the Prophecy was fulfilled. But while she ‘DID’ cause the portal to open, allowing her Father entry to the Mortal World, the faith of her friends and their refusal to surrender in spite of overwhelming odds saved her humanity and allowed Raven to undo the damage, casting her Unwelcome Father out of her home.

Today, Raven has put her past behind her and is regarded by many to be among the most powerful Magi in history (although she still defers the title Sorcerer Supreme to Dr. Fate). The leader of Teen Titan’s Next : Chapter 8, the stern and demanding Raven acts as a mentor for those young with magical powers that could be dangerous without guidance.
To nobody’s surprise (except maybe her own,) she is also believed to be in a romantic relationship with The Changeling. A relationship she has refered to as ‘my self-imposed punishment’

Abilities: Magic, Telekinetic powers, Low-level Empathic senses, Dangerous Mood-Swings.
---------------------------------------------

Beast Boy: Emerald Shapeshifter.

Then: Image

Now: Image

Infected in infancy with a mysterious illness deep in the heart of Africa, the Emerald Death was universally fatal, according to legend, destroying the very building blocks of life. Although nobody knows the X-Factor that allowed it, the young Beast Boy survived this ailment and the result left him with green skin and hair, sharp pointed ears, and other beastial features. The Change also made his DNA unstable, allowing him (with Training) to ‘recombine’ his dorment DNA into any and all various steps of evolution in the life on Earth from all the way back during the time of the dinosaurs.
At the age of seven, BB was saved from a mob of terrified villagers by the Doom Patrol, (Mentos, Elastagirl, Robotman, and Negative Man), Beastboy was given his name (both real and codename) and was adopted and raised by the original dysfunctional meta-human family.

Image
Although striving for years to win Mentos’ approval (difficult under the best of times given his demanding perfectionism) , at Age 13, Beast Boy came to the conclusion that he could never prove himself as long as the team saw him as a child and (in an ironically childish tantrum) the green skined young hero left for America, a land of Heroes where he could show what he was made of.
His very first encounter as a ‘solo-act’ put him against what he believed at the time was a precursor to an alien invasion, but turned out to be a recovery team sent to ‘recapture’ the Tamaranian Princess, Starfire. By his own account, his first encounter with Robin, Raven, and Cyborg did more to bring him into his own as a hero than his entire time training under the Doom Patrol when Raven commented on his mask, something that Mentos had forcefully instilled was a vital necessity.

“So what is with the Mask?”
“It protects my secret identity”
“… You’re…. ‘Green’.”

Seeing the futility of such a thing, Beast Boy began to walk his own path rather than that of his adopted father and by his own admission, has never looked back.

Today, Beast Boy has changed his Code-Name to Changeling (as Beast Man was simply too stupid according to Raven), and leads the New Doom Patrol, a Titan Chapter that is dedicated to the patrol and protection of the last truly wild places on earth, in particular South America and Changling’s native homeland of Africa. His claim being that these areas lack the sort of ‘protection’ that is lavished on America, Europe, and the Orient, making them havens for bad-guys.
Changeling is also quick to confirm and boast over an ‘intimate and totally hot’ relationship with Raven, usually in a hushed voice and looking over his shoulder for fear of being kicked in the head or thrown into another dimension by his ‘Dark Bunny Honey’.

Abilities: Shape shifting (Animals both Existing, Extinct, and recently ‘imaginary’), Indomitable personality, Boyish Sense of Humor

Terra: *File Classified, JLU Level 4 Clearance Required*

File: Active for nearly six years, the original Teen Titans protected Jump City, an urban area lacking any heroes of it’s own but suffering from various super-criminal enterprises.
According to Legend, the Titans met by sheer chance (Or, as some might say “Fate” ) on the night that Starfire, a captive of the Gordanian Armada, escaped the ship transporting her to the Gordan’s homeworld and crashed down in Jump City, causing a frenzied battle that not only destroyed a large portion of downtown Jump City, but united the five strangers into an unlikely team.
Defeating plots by villains and facing the strange and multitude of strange and unusual occurrences that took place in Jump (and often under the radar to the Justice League, which at the time had yet to become ‘Unlimited’) The Titans eventually saved our entire Dimension combating the Multi-Verse Level threat known as ‘Trigon The Terrible’.

The events leading up to the formation of the Titans Next were, ironically, caused by the attempt to bring about the Teen Titan’s total destruction by the Brotherhood of Evil, which united many of the Titan’s Villains from across the world in an attempt to ‘snuff out’ the young heroes for the promise of a darker tomorrow.
Following the massive battle, the Brotherhood was Defeated and Robin (who shortly thereafter took on the identity of Nightwing) began to organize the first Teen Titan Chapters. Nearly two years afterwards, Nightwing made his now famous “Next Generation” Speech to the United Nations Assembly which led to the institution of the Titan’s Next Initiative.

Notable Foes: Trigon The Terrible, Slade, The Brotherhood of Evil Brother Blood, The Hive Five, The Amazing Mumbo, Cinderblock, Control Freak.
