•Chrono Trigger's futuristic character, the aptly named Robo (also known as Prometheus) is a robot created to aid humans in the future, but he was shut down by a major catastrophe that struck the world. He was then reactivated by Lucca and joined Chrono's team, often being one of the more emotional and, ironically, human members of the group.

•Robo is light on skills and advantages, because he doesn't even remember his core programming or what his function used to be. Still, he's strong, and has a number of damaging techniques at his disposal. He gets the full set of mental attributes and Mental Immunity to reflect that he's an intelligent, learning and thinking robot. He'd still have to save against will effects that were not of the mental descriptor, however.

Oh man, Robo!!! My second favorite Chrono Trigger character ... second to Frog, of course. Speaking of which, hope he's in the pipeline!

Yeah, I'll get to Frog pretty soon, along with the rest of the PCs. I've already done Lucca and Crono in 2E, but I'll probably convert them to 3E, eventually. Magus is a must-build, and maybe even some baddies too.

I'm meh about Magus, but Ozzie, Slash, and Flea must be made. The world demands it.

•The fly-themed G'Tach from Time of Vengeance, Arov used to be a journalist before his foul deal with Mr. Infamy. Now he's yet another insect-themed super-type, although a bit more monstrous than most. In combat, his best bet is to open with his Affliction and then spam his dangerous Damage & Weaken power. With 4 ranks of Improved Critical, despite being undercapped with it, he'll still dish some heavy damage out.

•One of the many reasons why Chrono Trigger is awesome, Frog. A former swordsman cursed by Magus to become a frog-man, he actually prefers his new form, or so he says. Regardless, he's still a bad-ass in either form.

•Frog is good a t lot of things-blasting, melee fighting, and healing, thanks to his magic array. When push comes to shove, he can use Extraordinary Effort to do some really incredible things, like slicing his sword through a mountain. +4 ranks to Strength-based Damage (for 10 total) +5 for Power Atacking +5 for a critical and you're looking at Damage rank 20. Plus, there's that one ending where he takes on Magus' entire castle and his cronies by himself. Frog's da man.

Not to take a giant leap back to Bleach builds, but do you have any thoughts about how to build the after-image Empty Cicada power that Byakuya and Zommari use?

Obvious answers are things like flawed Concealment, but that has more of an "always on" type of feel than I'd be going for. I could see it as perhaps a power stunt using Speed to counter an attack, though I'd really like to tie it to the Defend action if possible. Hell, maybe even a limited Illusion power, used as a power stunt, could be the way to go? I haven't given it a ton of thought yet, but was curious if you had.

Actually, if its a power stunt, I'd call it a use of Luck Control with forced re-roll. It makes the most sense to me, as a translation between mechanics and effects-you think you've hit Byakuya, but then you re-roll, and nope! it was just an afterimage from how fast he was all along.

Anything else seems too difficult to do with the limited points something like Shunpo or Sonido would give you for power-stunts.

Not that familiar with Bleach, but moving so fast you leave an afterimage, which fools someone into attacking it, seems like using your movement speed in conjunction with Agile Feint.

Yeah, you could call it that, too. And one of the characters in question does have Agile Feint (with heightened ranks of Speed limited to Feints), but I can see how certain builders might want a different mechanical explanation.

I actually really like that, though it took me a little while to grok it. You could even add Area to it if needs be. Glad I asked!

@Angry Police Chief
Agile Feint or Moving Feint would strike me as the more offensive use of the power. The one I was aiming for was the defensive one, where you try to attack him and end up missing b/c you were actually just aiming for an image.

Actually, it strikes me that Luck Control could also be used for the somewhat headachey Substitution ability from Naruto.

Yeah, I can see what you mean, though using it to trick can be fairly defensive. Maybe Ultimate Effort: Parry would be a better fit?

Also, Arthur, this strikes me as a bit like The Pain's bee doppelganger ability, which you suggested Concealment for. Maybe that's appropriate here as well.

Well, yes, but it isn't really my idea to add any power to these characters. Unbeliever wanted a way to mechanically represent the after-image that wasn't a Concealment effect of some kind (which is how 2E did the Displacement power, which is pretty much the same thing-you appear to be somewhere you're not).

Plus, this way, Vision Counters Concealment wouldn't work, which makes sense. Although I would let a character with Rapid vision see a character with this kind of power, but that's more of an effect of descriptors than actual game effects.

I made it a Quirk on both this and my Flash Step power -- it doesn't work on anyone w/ a few ranks of Quickness that aren't too limited so as to not apply. Rapid Vision would work, too, naturally.

Complications
Disability Scatter-brained.
Power Loss Orihime's powers are Impaired or Debilitated when she loses confidence in herself.

•Orihime Inoue, one of many secondary protagonists from Bleach, and the love interest of Ichigo Kurosaki. Like others of Ichigo's school-chums, she gets caught up in his duties as a shinigami. She's one of those anime types that can be surprisingly dense at times (said to be not smart enough to use a cellphone) and yet oddly intelligent and perceptive at other times.

•She's not a very complicated build (especially compared to other Bleach characters), but she's fairly powerful, if only defensively. And healers are never to be underestimated in a group. This is a more up to date version of Orihime, with the new power she's displayed, Shiten Kōshun, which is a combination attack and defense. I thought about just regulating it to a power-stunt, but I tend to be more inclusive with my Bleach builds, so it stays. Healing objects (which I'm not sure she's actually done, but she could) and attacking directly with her powers are definitely power-stunts, though. She's a support character, and not very well-rounded, but she's good at what she does.
