JULY ART CHALLENGE

Postby Elfy » Fri Jul 01, 2011 8:16 am

For this art challenge, create and depict an original patriotic superhero/ine in action, or create and depict an original sidekick for an existing patriotic superhero/ine in action =)

Here's a scene from my "A Gathering of Gatherings" http://runespinner.net/index.php?p=1_47 story. (Warning NSFW) It's Challenger vs the Pride of the UN, Sentinel.

Shooting Star.

Patriotic superhero from the USA. Unmatched ability with his suped up sidearms. (Not very actiony, I realize.)

Thanks to Shadowchasers for the name!

Cobalt-Blue, nice action scene. Fighting in a museum-type place is a classic. Good Job!

Guerrillasuit, nice name for your hero--he even looks like a Texan. Smooth inklines--good work!

Okay, looks like we're nearing the end of the month, so what are people's suggestions for next month? Any ideas?

Thanks. That's actually a scene from A Gathering of Gatherings.

As for next month's theme: How about since we are having a horrible heat wave right now, maybe fire based hero or villain.

Actually, I'd argue that a fire-based character is the last thing most of us want to think about. How about an ice-themed character to help us beat the heat?

Hey, it's still technically July! So, here's a familiar patriot:

And here's the peoples' defender of Latveria, desMay!

I've got an Ice-themed hero sketched up for my home gaming group, if Dan wants to color it we can enter it into the contest. :) I like Ice for August's theme!
