OCHRE JELLY
COMPLICATIONS
Disability:
A gray ooze is mute and has no hands. It has no visual, hearing, or olfactory senses.
Power Loss: A gray ooze’s acid only affects flesh.
Two admittedly minor observations:

1) It says "gray ooze" instead of "ochre jelly" (copy-and-paste error).
2) This is probably just me, but that Ochre Jelly jpeg looks more like Yellow Mold. Or a Peep that has failed to resist a Weaken Toughness effect.

Having said that, I've always enjoyed the "blob" family of monsters. They work equally well in fantasy and superhero settings. In particular, it seems like everyone enjoys a gelatinous cube encounter.

The gelatinous cube is a good write-up, but isn't it too fast? With growth 8, it essentially has speed 1, for a total speed of 60 feet per second. Although my D&D knowledge is out of date and was minor even when it was topical, I remember that gelatinous cubes were supposed to be pretty slow, far slower than the average speed. Something like 15 feet per round, I think. So maybe Permanent Reduced Trait: Speed?

Yes, indeed, that stemmed from cut-and-paste. But you all know what it means...

Otyughs are strange-looking creatures, with round bodies that stand on three elephantine legs. They have a pair of tentacles that end in rows of sharp spikes. A third tentacle sprouts from the top of the otyugh’s body. This tentacle ends in a number of peering eyes. The body is the creature contains a massive fang-filled mouth. Due to the nature of the Otyugh’s appetite, their mouths are filthy and often carry diseases with its bite.

I always liked Otyughs. Along with Behirs, Rhemorhaz, Bullettes and things like that, they are among the cool "really weird D&D monsters" that sprout up, but aren't so overwhelmingly powerful that you can't kill them without being Epic Level.

Quirk: Miss Kyle normally keeps her density power turned on at a very, very low level. If she turned it off entirely, she’d be two or three inches taller and have a more statuesque figure, but her skin and flesh would be normal density and thus wouldn’t protect her. This makes her nervous, so she prefers to be just a little shorter and pudgier in exchange for being hard to hurt.
Responsibility: Miss Kyle is protective of the children at PS238 and Excelsior School.
Secret Identity: Christina Kyle’s identity as Micro-Might is not known to the general public.

OWL
Owls are nocturnal birds of prey that are known to silently fly through the night in search of food. They feed on small animals, lizards, and other birds. Owls come in a variety of names and appearances.

One disturbing trait of owls is their ability to turn their heads to face completely backwards. They evolved this ability to find prey without having to turn around and give away their position in the forest. Owls are further aided by the structure of their wings. Their wing beats produce no noise, allowing them to approach their targets in utter silence.

Owlbears are monstrous beasts with the bodies of bears covered in thick fur and feathers. Their heads are like those of owls. These creatures are incredibly aggressive, going so far as to slay any living creature they see. This territorial attitude causes many folks who live with nature to purposefully hunt owlbears before they have a chance to destroy the local wildlife.

Ah, the Owlbear... that most infamous of D&D "mix and match" creatures. It's always a classic- it's not even a Flying Bear (which would be awesome)! It's just a bear with a beak and some feathers!

[sigh] Owlbear, I remeber a D&D game a few years ago when our party stumbled upon one of these and there was some argument because the old gamers of the group were against killing it since it we hadn't met one in years. This is how you know that it's a true classic.

Wooo! Pegasus! I've gone into detail before about how "Mounts of a different type" are one of my favourite things in Fantasy (my being an animal nerd and all), and Pegasi are among the tops. They're beautifully simple (just horses with wings... though D&D makes them super-smart by animal standards), but one of the most amazing visuals out there.

My favourite use of Pegasi have to be Fire Emblem and their (mostly) female Pegasus Knights: http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/Pegasus_Knight. Tana and Florina were the best ones, in my opinion. I'm totally stealing the concept for whatever Fantasy world I create.
