"I'll work it out," he says, much more softly.

"Busy, busy, busy. This place needs everything."

OOC: I am definitely willing to put an XP towards 5ep of the base, as long as Workshop, Computer System, and Security System are included. Does the base already include Living Space or do we have to buy that too.

(I forgot you need to include living space. Yeah, that's part of the base as well. But that's it.)

Cecelia looks at Charli's owl. "We are NOT keeping the owl."

Suddenly, the Owl flies over, lands on her head, and falls asleep.

Cecelia sighs, "Alright, you can keep the owl. But if it poops in my hair its brazed owl for supper."

"No! Not Mr. Feathersworth! Be good Mr. Feathersworth! be good!"

OOC: Mr. Feathersworth sounds more like he lives in a mansion. Also, it's much funnier.

(Anywho, I think its a good time to end the adventure, if nobody objects.

five exp for everyone, you really pulled out the role playing chops. I've never went away and had two whole pages of inter party banter go in in my absence. Plus you'll need some of the Exp to help build your bases.)

Troy makes his way back to Mr Cooper.

"Excuse me, sir. Do you suppose OmniTech Steel might have an opening for a recent college graduate who is just a whiz with computers and electronics? I have been doing contract work mostly and am looking for something more pemranent. If you don't feel comfortable with this, I understand."

Since this adventure is over, do you mind if I shuffle around a bit of Charli's powers? There's a few things she probably should have but doesn't (She really should have precise on Teleport, given how she's using it), and a few things I'm not sure she's really using.

Jack nods, "Sure, come to the Omnitech building downtown tomorrow and they'll see what you can do."

Re: Crinoverse: The Avengers IC (One Shots)

Postby Crinos » Mon Aug 01, 2011 4:49 pm

(Alright, now we begin the One shots.)

*Three days later*

Relentless

You sometimes wonder how you get into these situations.

Here you are, tied up to a chair, next to the Rook, in a warehouse on the lower east side, while a crazy man in a pig mask gives a speech to a bunch of poor saps he hot glued into Raggedy anne costumes.

"...And so, my dear friends, today we welcome two new inductees into our little family, soon they will be freed of all that nasty little ickyness that makes people so..." The Pig faced man makes a noise halfway between a squeal and a yelp, "Anyways, thus is the decree of Professor Pyg."

Rook leans over to you, "Man, this guy just never stops talking does he? By the way how close are you to getting loose from your ropes?"

(Also, take a hero point for being captured offscreen).

Xiao

You are currently running through the crowded streets of Chinatown, with Dragoneye close behind.

Evidently, Dragoneye is a mystical protector of his community, and while he was being possessed by alien Brain slugs, all manner of problems, both mundane and supernatural, piled up. So you're doing the neighborly thing and helping the mage clean house.

At the moment, you are hunting down a Rakshasha, a type of local demon with shapeshifting powers and a penchant for human flesh. Unfortunately its invisible to your eyes, luckily Dragoneye lives up his reputation, and has grown a mystical eye in his forehead that allows him to see the monster.

"It just turned left into that alleyway." Dragoneye says, I'll go above and try and block its escape. Remember, the Rakshasa is a master of deception. Do not trust your eyes."

With that, Dragoneye begins to climb over the buildings.

Technus

And today you begin your first day of work at the Omnitech Steel research lab.

Normally it takes weeks of background checks and interviews to get a job in Omnitech Steel, but since you are a super hero, you kinda got pushed through.

You step onto the research floor of the Omnitech steel lab, dressed in a white labcoat (standard issue), your armor in a suitcase you brought with (Your supervisor strongly suggested you keep it close by, just in case.) You see numerous projects being worked on, the most interesting being a giant Robot Black Widow Spider.

As you look around, you suddenly hear someone scream in a nasally voice.

"YOU CANNOT DO THIS! I, TECHNUS, MASTER OF ALL THINGS TECHNOLOGICAL, SHALL BE FREE!"

The voice comes from a large high tech looking drum.

A spindly man in a robotic floating wheelchair floats by, "Technus, master of all things Technological better shut his mouth before we find an even tinier cell to put him in.

Suddenly you feel someone tap your shoulder, turning around, you see a slightly older, slightly plump (but not noticeably) woman standing before you, a warm smile on her face.

"Hello there, Troy right? I am Dr. Natalie Hallemier, head of research here."

The man in the wheelchair comes over, "And this bundle of sunshine is Dr. Alastair Smythe."

Smythe grunts in annoyance, "Ah yes, the guy who got this job solely because he happens to be a super hero. How nice it must be not to have to work for the things you get."

Before you can reply Smythe turns and floats away. "Just stay out of my way and you'll be fine."

Hallemier sighs, "Ignore him, Smythe has an attitude problem. Anyways how do you like it here so far?"

Omni

Its day three of the renovation of the Avengers mansion, and the work crew is busy.

But not quite as busy as Cecelia, who is acting like a general in the army.

Through some serendipity, she has managed to tame the giant dust bunnies which dwell in the dustier parts of the mansion, and has put them to work. Meanwhile, there are countless Omnitech Steel workers going through, putting in new wiring, new technology, building the portal to Charli's dimension.

You, meanwhile, are just trying to stay out of the way. At least until one of the workers comes up to you.

"Um, miss? You should come look at this, I think we found something you oughta see."

He leads you to the library, once abandoned save for one bookcase, the workers are bringing in boxes of reading materials, meanwhile; It would seem that the bookcase was a false front, leading to a dark corridor.

"Well, I know what kind of stuff you super types like to put in passageways like this, so I didn't want to send any of my boys in before you got a chance to check it out."

Charli and Elasto

Charli and Elasto are on the AEGIS Hellicarrier, waiting a conference with WIll Erixon and Gimmick the Gadget girl regarding the Yeerk Incident. Dax is also there, having been in conferences with his own people, AEGIS, and the President regarding what should be done on the Yeerk situation. As you sit in the waiting room, the awkwardness is palpable.

The Secretary looks over to you, "You want some coffee? Water? A donut maybe?"

Relentless
HP: 2
COND: How did this happen?

Relentless flashed Rook a grin, and then turned his attentions, and voice onto Professor Pyg. "That speech makes me hungry." In a sudden burst of movement, ropes off him like they never held him at all, he charged at Professor Pyg. "Pork patties, anyone?"

Escape Artist check: 1d20+15=30
Presumably enough.

Initiative if needed: 1d20+15=35
Attack Roll on Professor Pyg: 1d20+12=18
Impeach the peach!

Troy lets Dr Smythe's comments go without any response. He knew his powers gave him a unique understanding of technology, but that didn't make him better than anyone here. Dr Smythe clearly has a lot of experience, and Troy respected that.

"Dr. Hallemier, it's a pleasure to be here." He extends his hand, offering a firm, but not crushing, handshake. "I hope I can be of assistance here."

He paused for a second then realized he never really answered her question. "This facility is very impressive. Even the graduate labs at Emerald City University don't even come anywhere near how amazing this place it. I am going to enjoy working here."
