Stark City Games releases Something Creepy!

Postby Shadowchaser » Wed Jul 06, 2011 3:17 pm

Hey Gang! Dan Houser and Mike Lafferty and I have cooked up a fun series of short M&M supplements under our "Stark City Games" label. The first one is only 3 bucks and comes with our first in a series of Extremely Creepy Creatures! He's a Power Level 8 monster, perfect for your PL 6 games, or useful as a PL 8 "Minion" for a villain. Also included is a bunch of character standees of the monster and a "Victim" standee, as well as some set-dressing for the table!

We welcome feedback here or by direct email, so please let us know what you think! We're going to try for weekly releases, but it's con season, so it might wind up being Bi-Weekly.

Hope you love the Creature from the Deep as much as we loved making him!

Thanks for the info James. Any reason why copy/paste is disabled on the PDF?

Thanks in advance,

I dunno! I'll see if Dan can answer that. If it's something we can update reasonably easily, we might do that.

Glad you like it! Dynamic Dan Houser, aka AlienMastermind here on the forums is the one to thank for the look of the book. I had some input, but it was mostly me looking at stuff and going "Dude, that's cool." :)

Dan updated the PDF to fix this error, if you redownload your purchase it should have copy and paste working again. :)

Extremely Creepy Comic Creatures #1: The Creature of the Deep

Evoking the feel of Tales From the Crypt and similar horror comics anthologies the first of a series of supplements from Stark City Games. The product is creatured under the "Super Powered by M&M" product licencing in the same vein as Green Ronin's weekly Threat Report series. Costing $3 (though the cover claims $2) and available at RPGnow.com the product weights in at 9 pages (7 without the licence information), in full color, and includes history, full statistics for use, plot hooks, and printable standee miniatures to use on the table (for those of you who use maps on tables during play).

The guys at Stark City Games recently provided me with a copy of the Creature From the Deep for review. The full review can be found HERE.
Forty six and two are just ahead of me.

The next two Creepy Creatures releases are coming soon after Gen-Con!

Just a tease, but we've included some PL 6 "Investigator" characters (one for each) for the next two creatures, to give you some more NPCs that you can use in your games. Use them as PCs or as NPCs, your choice!

Coming up:

Issue 3: The Pale Woman
Issue 4: The Moss Man

I have an idea for Something Creepy. I am wondering if you couldn't put out a sort of freddy Kruger type character that you could call a Dream Haunt. The way he could be presented is as a ghost out for revenge, or a creature of dream that is a predator feeding off of fear.

I do have a boogeyman character waiting in the wings, but we've got a couple more Creepy Creatures lined up before I start doing more.

It looks like Dan's schedule has hit a bit of a snag getting the next two issues out, but never fear. They're coming! It just might take a couple of weeks for him to catch up with his backlog. :)

I was always fond of the Crites from Critters, myself. :)

We'll see... ;)

Critters might be good...or attack of the killer tomatoes...lol. But i was thinking more like Leprechauns, or Sluagh, Pookas, or Sidhe.
And maybe we can get a map of Tir an Nog.
