Okay guys, i need your giant brains again, so ATOMIC THINK TANK ASSEMBLE!

I need help plotting some big end of year event style events.

I've got a group of extra dimensional villains, who used to be another worlds JLA analogue... But they lose in a big way & all reality collapses... They only survive because they are shunted out of reality at the event horizon of the collapse. In my campaign world they become villains in the same vain that the Justice Lords or the orginal Squadron Supreme did: They think they can make up for failing there own world by saving my campiagn setting from its self (similiar to when "The Authority" took over its Earth, or the Justice Lords tried to take over the Animated DC Universe).

I'm trying to come up with a timeline for the world, over 5 years, nothing super complicated, but enough to make it appear like the world is alot more fleshed out then it really is. I know that one of my PC's is going to mind read one of the villains & i kind of want to give him a mental history overload, but with potential clues to the full story.

So far i know Year 1 starts with a crashed alien probe releasing nanites, a situation that causes disparate individuals to team up & the team sticks

I also know that in year 5 my Green Lantern analogue is killed & replaced by a female writer

An in year 6, the heroes fight an alien invasion force, succeed at taking the fight to them. The heroes break there own rules about killing, only to have the Villain spring one final surprise, he's biologically connected to his flagships reality drive, his death results in the red linning of the engine, a reality wave & the collapse of all reality.

An yes the probe from year 1, was indeed sent by the Invading Alien Armada that appears in Year 6.

I'm thinking i'd like a big event at least once every year and a half... I'm okay for small plot points, i'm just having trouble with the big ones, as the set up for my JLA analogue team is more Avengers then classic JLA: in that the individual team members don't all have solo titles (the team is more important then the individual).

This alternate reality is a little bit Justice League Unlimited & a lit bit DCnU: Heroes have existed in the history of the world wars, but they were pretty secretive & new heroes appeared officially only about 5-6 years ago. Help me Obiwan Kenobies, you are my only hopes.

How about:

Year One: [INSERT ALIEN SPECIES] sends a probe to Earth to collect data for an impending invasion. When it crashes near [INSERT CAMPAIGN CITY], it comes to life and starts to terrorize the citizens. Finding that they can't beat the probe as individuals, seven heroes band together to defeat the alien machine and, in the process, band together to become the world's premiere hero team.

Year Two: The team expands its membership from seven to ten as they span out from [CAMPAIGN CITY] and become a national team. During this time, they confront several villains, including a negative version of themselves, a team made of their worst villains, and a cosmic threat along the lines of Darkseid or Thanos.

Year Three: The hero team disappears, leaving only one member behind. Gathering a new team, the hero re-brands them under the team's name. Forming together, they battle old and new threats as they attempt to protect the world from a new evil known as [INSERT TERRORIST/VILLAIN ORGANIZTION]. Unknown to them, the rest of the team is alive, only captured on a war-world where they've been taken captive by a powerful alien overlord (who also has ties to the original aliens).

Year Four: The team is reunited as the new team learns of their predecessors predicament and rush off to save them. However, once they return, they return to a different world that's been secretly dominated by the same organization from Year Three. Battling to free their world, in the end, one member almost commits the ultimate crime as they final wrest the world from the clutches of evil.

Year Five: Filled with new hope for the world, the hero team, now sixteen members large, begins to take steps towards a global protection plan. Their first step: launching a new satellite base where members may beam down to any spot on Earth. However, this also gives them a different perspective and they quickly realize crime will always be an eternal thorn in their side unless they do something different. Formulating a potential plan to help steer the planet towards a brave new world, the team is suddenly shocked when one of their own, [INSERT GREEN LANTERN NAME], is killed by one of their own! With the perpetrator quickly captured and put on trial, the team learns that the murder was committed to stop their global plans. Being from the future, the murderer explains that, in their time, the team are fascist overlords and rule through violence. Unable to see themselves ever becoming that way, the killer is sent for execution only to be saved by the one member who believes them. Together, the duo begins to search for help any place they can find it. Meanwhile, the Justice Directives, as the team calls it, is put into play and the team takes over most major security agencies of the world. During this time, a new member is recruited to replace their fallen ally.

Year Six: The aliens from season one begin their invasion! A large battle happens where the heroes of Earth and the aliens lay waste to several cities. During the confusion, the future hero and their companion travel to the alien flagship in hopes of using their reality drive to gain help from another dimension. That's when the hero team arrives to find themselves betrayed yet again! Finalizing the jobs themselves, one of the heroes lashes out and kills the future hero, but not before he's connected himself to the reality drive and causing the drive to implode on itself and the reality they've all known ...
