So, I'd like to make Stargirl. Her actress is an actual light controller. The only problem is that she's a little old for the role. Courtney being in her mid to late teens and her being in her early 20s. So the crew can either deal with Dawson Casting or have the character go through a Plot Relevant Age Up. Does this sound doable on either count?

Sounds brilliant! And Dawson Casting sounds like the way to go, because 'they would never mess with comic continuity just to make things sync with a different media'. Blade, Spider-man, Harley Quinn. I have you in my cross-hairs.

It will be fun to see an actress having to pretend she's younger than she is, and the publicity department setting her up on dates with teen heart throbs, to again confuse people. Tell me, do you have a favorite Jonas Brother?

This is gonna be fun.

Star girl's the one with the powered armor step father following her around right? I might work that in somewhere, but you don't worry about it in your backstory or anything. Just work on your Smallvilling-I mean Dawson Casting.

How about either Isis or Catwoman? Would either of those work? I have a couple of other ideas floating around in my head. Just have to brush up on my DC Universe.

Isis is usually a villain, and is less well known than Black Adam. DC would prefer Catwoman, who has been portrayed as both a villain and antihero. Be a bit weird/interesting if the public wants Catwoman to date Batman, but Batman isn't real. Especially since Herman has a mental link, and can see everything on their dates.

Is there a specific reason you want to be Isis? That might sway me to that idea.

Herman looks awesome. Is the Batman utility belt equipment given by DC or an aspect of Herman's power? doesn't bother me either way, just something to think about. It's up to you whether Herman has told the other PCs Batman isn't real. He might just appear off camera, from the shadows, or out of a smoke bomb.

DC gave Herman a utility belt for him when he was hired, but a couple of weeks into the training, Perfect Herman started appearing in the costume, with all of the equpment, even stuff that they never gave him.

And I think that Batman's true nature is going to be kept secret from the team for the moment.

Super-Senses 1 (communication link: radio; Power Feats: Progression 3 (10 users), Subtle (encrypted)) · 5ep (1pp)

Complications
Motivation- Greed: Technically, Johnny's only in it for the money, though ultimately that money is meant to support his family.
Relationships: His wife Maria Tremont, infant son Denny, and his old friend Travis Hawk aka Vector.
You Want Me To Do What?: Despite his job description, Johnny to say the least, dislikes superhero comics and soldier-speak. He regularly clashes with the publicity department as a result.
Secret: DC insists on keeping a tight lid on the fact that Captain Atom is really a married teenage father.

Background
Johnny Tremont was a childhood friend of Travis Hawk, going to the same middle and high school, yet while Travis made it big at first, Johnny was still in school, a middling student on route for routine graduation.

Then all his plans went undone when his girlfriend Maria revealed she was pregnant with his child. Though Johnny initially argued for an abortion, Maria's refusal and his own sense of responsibility forced Johnny to stop short his plans and marry Maria.

Of course, he had to support a family, which, as he was walking down an alleyway, overwhelmed him with concern. He groaned, only to find the streetlights flickering and their energy coursing into him.

Later contacting the Silber Agency for career advice, Johnny found his advisors outright suggesting Johnny take the cushy job at DC. Since Johnny disliked comics, this seemed a hard pill to consider, but eventually he agreed, since he had little else is marketable skills. The comics purveyor company naturally took in his energy and radiation powers and made him Captain Atom. Yipee-skip.

If there's still room, I'd love to join in.

Concept: Aaron Waukegan has wanted to be a superhero ever since he could first pick up a comic book. When the empowering even occurs, he finally gets his wish with the ability to turn into the hero who eventually became his favorite of all. Unfortunately, that hero is a heroine. Aaron can become Power Girl with a mere thought.

No problem that I can see with Captain Atom. Just one point-you don't have immunity to radiation, despite being able to emit it. Was that on purpose, or something you plan on fixing with power points?

recruitment lasts until January 8, when I make my choice. Please, people submit as many characters as possible, so I have some choice. I may go up to 7 players, but hoping to keep it between 5-6, unless one idea is too good to drop.

Trans sexual superhero, I knew that was coming! Acceptable idea.

Did you get my PM EnigmaticOne? It hasn't left my outbox yet. Here it is just incase:

Not sure about the idea of Travis giving Johnny the idea to join the DC team. As a member of Vanguard he would have suggested joining his own team. Also, he has been too busy in training or battling super catastrophes. Is there a way you can alter the last bit, so Travis didn't suggest this to you? It also allows the rivalry between the two teams to make more sense.

Just saw it. :D

Ok, how about Ye Old Silber Agency being to blame then? Hooked him up with DC, and the only reason Johnny didn't complain was that it paid well enough.

Hmm. That could work. I wasn't sure whether to have them in or not, but that works. Especially since you have no skills as a scientist or electrician, and you said you don't want to be a soldier, this is about the only job you qualify for.

How long ago did the mass empowering event happen? Or does it happen whenever now, like in Paragons?
