As M&M does not have any powers that lend themselves to the "save or die" mechanics that tend to exist in d20 fantasy games, there is no Extract ability for the mind flayer. I am rather proud, however, of the Bore Into Brain ability I gave the beastie.

With the Mind Flayer build, I'm pretty sure you can't link Personal Healing to damage, because they have different ranges. It would probably be better to make it Reaction Healing instead.

Yeah... I forgot about that. Edit will be forthcoming.

Sorry to have been away so long, folks. My PC got hit by a virus so bad I had to buy an entirely new computer. I only recently got this new one and am still trying to recover my old files.

Celebratory Kamadan post, however.

Infamy: Krampus is a fearsome monster known for eating misbehaving children on Christmas day.

Krampus is a mythical creature recognized in Alpine countries. According to legend, Krampus accompanies St. Nicholas (Santa Claus) during the Christmas season, warning and punishing bad children, in contrast to St. Nicholas, who gives gifts to good children. When the Krampus finds a particularly naughty child, it stuffs the child in its sack and carries the frightened thing away to its lair, presumably to devour for its Christmas dinner.

In the Alpine regions, Krampus is represented as a beast like creature, generally demonic in appearance. Traditionally young men dress up as the Krampus in Austria, southern Bavaria and South Tyrol during the first week of December, particularly on the evening of 5 December, and roam the streets frightening children with rusty chains and bells.

In the aftermath of the 1934 Austrian Civil War, the Krampus tradition was prohibited by the Dollfuss regime under the Fatherland Front (Vaterländische Front) and the Christian Social Party but the tradition returned after the end of World War II.
 A monster for the season!

Holy... Crap... I admit ignored about this tradition (I guess is from the other side of the Alps) but this build scare the hell out of me - not to mention the picture.
Great work Prodigy.

I remember this thing from both a "Venture Bros." episode, and a "Something Postitive" webcomic strip, where a character merely assumed that Germany had some had in the Krampus' creation. Great build. So after your big computer problem thing, are you still working on the requests?

What about Regeneration with Source flaw? The Illithid make great villains in any campaign.

Regeneration with source is better for a continuous source. I could see it for Superman as a power stunt (he's been depicted with a healing factor sometimes-my favorite example is in Dark Knight Returns), but for the mind flayers, they're eating brains. Giving them Source Regen wouldn't really work with the time involved. How long does sucking a brain out take?

Plus he key difference between healing and Regen, besides time, is certainty. Regen is a sure thing, healing requires a check.

For a one time use requiring a fairly rare circumstance that doesn't last longer than a round, Reaction Personal Healing fits and works better than Regen.

There's a kids movie in Krampus somewhere. I'm just trying to figure out whether it would be "Santa rescues Krampus" or "Krampus rescues Santa"...

I'm doing my best to rebuild/recover my files. Otherwise, yes, I still plan on filling out those requests eventually.
