I'm dreading it because I'm not thrilled by a single thing announced for this film thus far

As long as he's gotten over his laryngitis in the last 8 years it will improve the dialog immensely. That annoying 'batgrowl' in the second film was enough to make me not like watching an otherwise stellar movie.

Me either, but considering how disappointed i was in Spiderman, which i was psyched for, chances are good that this may very well be the best movie ever.

To be honest Kit, i've decided to now avoid any article about any announcement to do with any intellectual property about super heroes, or comics until the release of the property, like its the Black Death. That way i don't get hyped, psyched, or pissed about announcements. So far, all i know about the Man of Steel film is that the costume looks silly without the red shorts & with the silly textures... Give me the Dean Cain, Adventures of Lois & Clark costume any day of the week.

Thats literally all i know about the Man of Steel film... That and the fact its being called "tha man of steel." Heck i only just saw the trailer to Dark Knight Rising the other day & only because i went and watched Spiderman.

Do two movies REALLY constitute a "marathon"? MAYBE if they throw in a showing of Gotham Knights, but even then....

All 3 of the marathon showings here have been sold out for at least a week. Of the 5 midnight showings at my local theater, 4 were sold out. Barely got tickets to the last one.

This is gonna be nuts.. I don't expect this movie to out gross Avengers, but I am curious what the figures are going to be.

The one I'm going to here in Chicago is Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and finishes up with the midnight showing of Dark Knight Rises. I have heard that some of them aren't showing Batman Begins, but I have no idea why that would be the case.

we have all the Batman movies showing on TV this week... But for some reason they aren't in order. I got so pissed trying to watch them out of order & with commercials that i pulled out my copy of Watchman & watched that instead... Then i let my father borrow it... He's loving it & thats cool because he hates Superhero movies.

He's just enjoying it for Silk Spectre..

I say that only because it was the one thing my father in law commented on after seeing it.

I'm not seeing the marathon, but my friends and I will be seeing the midnight showings.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

No spoilers but: Really, really, really good. I found it the best of the trilogy, though as the post-movie arguments with my brother and friends prove, that is hardly the consensus. I'd say go see it, but I doubt anyone bothering to view this thread isn't.

Was great. Really great. Overall I preferred the second in the series, but this one is a worthy end to the trilogy.

As soon as someone else spills about the movie some, I'll comment in more detail.. But there was a twist I should have seen a mile away, and totally got blind sided. I guess that's a good sign. If I was wrapped up enough in the story to neglect prior knowledge, I must have been pretty engrossed.

I enjoyed every minute of the film. I hope you do, too

Great flick.

Though IMHO, all of the film's "twists" were a wee bit too predictable. Not to go into details of course, this being opening night... no spoilers.
