Infamy: Beholders are ruthless, xenophobic monsters capable of emitting numerous magical powers from their many eyes.
Motivation: All beholders seek to accumulate wealth and power.
Prejudice: Beholders are monstrous abominations. They are xenophobic and hateful towards all non-beholder-like creatures. They even hate other beholders that do not look exactly like themselves.
Alternatively, a Beholder can have its eyestalks purchased as Summon, providing it with numerous attacks each round. To do this, remove the Eye Rays Array and replace it with the following power:

Eyestalks: Summon 9 (Continuous, Controlled, Horde, Innate, Mental Link, Multiple Minions 3) – 100 points

The Eyestalks have the following statistics:

Fortitude 3, Will 6

POWER POINTS
Abilities 20 + Advantages 2 + Defenses 15 + Powers 83 + Skills 3 = 123 Total

COMPLICATIONS
Disability:
Eyestalks have no hands and are mute. Eyestalks cannot move from the beholder’s head.

ARGH, the return of the most hated.

Ok, I'm sorry for the intro, but thee beholder was one of those D&D monsters that I could never stomach (next to the Mind Flayer and some planar oddities), but the build work great. I admit I prefer the first version since I don't like having a monster with multiple attacks in M&M.

Hence the optional builds.

For me, it would depend on if the beholder was supposed to be a "group villain" or not. If it is just one of the random encounters or guardians along the way to the Big Bad, I would go with the regular version.

Hah, NICE. I think Roger Ebert was right when he said that the kind of thing that makes the "Star Wars" series GREAT instead of just very good is the little touches- like when Luke kills the Rancor, and you see a short clip of the beast's owner, crying out of grief for his pet. What other movie contains little things like that?

Great Star Wars stuff so far, PD, can't wait to see more!

I always liked that cat beast from the gladiator scene in Attack of the Clones.
