"Is that powered armor?" She was next to the newcomer in a flash, peppering her with questions. "What does it do? How is it powered? Is it twitch controls or a neural interface?"

Peppered with questions most people would have wilted under the onslaught but for Eva this was exactly what she loved, and the more complex the question the better. So she answered Liz's questions like a Ping pong player in rapid succession.

"Yes it is, it Channels electromagnetic and fundamental forces through a series of power shunts to enhanced physical capacity and project alpha wave plasma on multiple frequencies and intensities, Its powered by a self perpetuating gravitic flux that uses a fiberoptic circulatory system to channel the energy to suit functions, and its a direct neural interface with full sensory input and a reflex based algorythim to enhanced hand eye coordination with a back up voice and pinpoint eye and facial reader for instant control."
All of this was said with as literal a straight face as Eva was actually very exited. She had heard of this young lady in some work she did for Aegis and read about some of her work in the tech journals.

"Oh. Right. I'm Liz. Um... what are you doing here?"

"Eva but I use the codename Vindicator in the field." She said as she removed the helmet and shook out her Long dark hair before smiling genuinely. "I've read your work in the Aegis science journals, and Im impressed Dr. Magnum had nothing but good things to say about you're work with Biometirc array sensors Id love to discuss it in depth with you sometime. As she was talking she saw the pack on Liz's hip and her blue eyes went wide "IS that..." she started to say pointing at the sensor only for K-9s rough voice to interject.

K-9 cocks his head to the side as two new...heroes...potential teammates...temporary replacements...something make their entrances into the Anders building. He takes a moment to assess both women before shrugging. "Welcome to Force Ops. K-9 hopes you last longer than most teammates."

Speaking to Dovetail, K-9 is deferential, but obviously impatient. "Done greeting fng's yet? K-9 is anxious to get started."

"Oh yeah right ready to go unless Ethan needs to talk to me or something. he was kind of vague on the phone said you might need a hand?" she questioned.

“The amulets worked fine it was our intel that was shit.” She answered and the brusque manner of her speech removed any doubts if she was Dovetail again. “Your name’s Lina? Did you come for the amulets?”

Lina rubs her side absently at the mention of shit intel. "No, you can keep those. I'm here to back you up with your next mission. Mr. Keller said he would be filling you in... Zalman didn't give him a chance, did he?" She sighs. Anything further is interrupted by the other new arrival.

Susan looked at the two new girls and gave them a brief forced smile. “Hi. I’m Susan West, in the field I go by Dovetail, I’m the Force Ops Field Leader. We’re in the middle of a kind of crisis here and I would like to make our introductions brief.”

Lina nodded and became all business. "Right, short version then. I'm a mage, combat trained. I've been Zalman's apprentice for the last year or so, until about five minutes ago when he gave me my journeyman status. I've worked with him and a few other mages along with solo work. I specialize in force magic. Binds, bolts and shields for the most part. Flight capable up to about highway speeds, but I still haven't mastered Zalman's teleport spells. I can sense magical energy, no remote viewing abilities. In a fight I'm most comfortable as fire support, but if you need me in close I can handle it. If you need an infiltrator I can be exceptionally stealthy."

Liz goggled at Eva's rundown of all the tech in the suit. The explanation eliminated the need to ask if she had constructed it. Only the designer could possibly have answered all those questions so quickly. And some of the things she described were beyond what Liz herself thought was possible to get working in the same piece of equipment. A million questions began to form in her mind.

'Tu this is SO cool. I HAVE to find out how she managed to get the alpha wave plasma to power the suit without interfering with the neural interface.

"Oh yeah right ready to go unless Ethan needs to talk to me or something. he was kind of vague on the phone said you might need a hand?"

Liz looked back at Dovetail and frowned. Sure they were going to be without Abaddon and Utu for a while but she thought that the remaining group had done a pretty good job against a strong group of opponents near Atlantis. She didn't think they needed anyone else to step in at this time. But Susan and Ethan were both over her head so there wasn't much to say if it was Ethan's idea and Susan didn't protest.

"OK, let's hit the van then." Liz indicated that Eva should follow her to the elevator. "How did you...?"

"My usename is Aurora."

Liz caught this just as she was turning to leave and her jaw dropped as she turned back to the other new girl. "You... you're... Aurora?"

Liz caught this just as she was turning to leave and her jaw dropped as she turned back to the other new girl. "You... you're... Aurora?"

Lina gives Liz a strange look. "Yeah. We met yester..." she trails off as she suddenly realizes something. Her face blushes a bright red and she claps her hands over her mouth. "Oh! I'm so sorry! No wonder you were all so confused! Oh my!"

Lina concentrates for a moment. There is a faint glow of blue light and she starts to shrink. In a few seconds there is a small and very cute ferret sitting where the young lady had been standing. "I forgot I was in this form the entire time you were in Zalman's office. I stayed quiet because I was using all my magic on healing and that would have made it really hard to talk. Well, that and I wanted to get a good look at all of you with any... umm... well distractions. Mr. Keller had talked to me about joining the team back when he was first recruiting but Zalman suggested that I wait. I'm really sorry I confused you all." When she speaks she sounds a little quieter then she did before, both otherwise exactly the same.

With that Lina transforms back into her human form. Her blush has faded for the most part.

Amazing, Spontaneous Biomorphological transformation with no side effects and complete violation of no less then 3 laws of thermodynamics. At least that was what Eva thought about saying but figured that with the impatient looks on Dovetail and K-9s faces that expediency was called for and settled for "Its nice to meet you Aurora."

As they made their way to the garage Eva settled the Suits helmet back into its customary position locking it down and activting its systems which gave a slightly audible hum and a glow of energy that raced down the suit following its crystaline neural net.

Turning the corner as he fit his fedora on his head looking up he saw the team standing around two new comers liz in her fashion fawning over some new tech that had caught her fancy and the other talking to Susan. He knew neither of them but from the wispets of the conversation ,they were replacements. Ethan wasted no time it seemed. At least the how would the say it now the sausage fest was at an end on the team . He refrained to introduce himself as he stepped in as not to inturrupt.

"Oh, so you... I mean... you're a..." Too many things were passing through Liz's brain at once. Half of it was still doing calculations about how much power Eva's armor required. And now Lina was Aurora who was a ferret. Or Aurora was really human. Was she a cute little animal or a beautiful wizard? Or was it witch? She wasn't sure what the proper terminology was. And she wasn't here to pick up the amulets. "Wait. You're coming with us too?"

Liz turned back towards the elevator. "Er... where are we going exactly?"

"That's for K-9 to say." Ethan answers as he exits his office and joins everyone in the reception area. "Sorry to spring both of them at once on you..." He says as he gives Dovetail a sideways glance, "..but with the team being down on the muscle and mystical ends I felt it was best to call in back up." He greets both Aurora and Vindicator, "Dovetail and K-9 are right, you need to get going. Finish the meet and greet on the way." Ethan produces a pair of earwigs and passes them off to the two newly arrived women. "Standard gear for everyone in the field." He then gives a quick explaination of how to operate the communication functions. Once that is done he looks over to K-9, "Before you take off, what do you want me to do with your 'pup'?" Ethan jerks a thumb over his shoulder towards the conference room where Maggot is still tied up. "I can keep him here or turn him over to the police for his stunt here. Your call."

Eva looked askance at the earwig studying it in detail before shrugging. She supposed she could go old school this once. She had 4 different means more efficient but this was a good back up as it was. She lifted the helmet just enough to insert it into her ear and activated and ajusted it to interface with the armors systems before settling the helmet back.

"We got time for lunch on the way?" She asked seriously "Rentry into the atmosphere makes me peckish." she smiled at what she thought was a good joke as they made their way down to the transport.

K-9 looks hard at Maggot for a few seconds, seriously considering Ethan's question. Finally, he growled out. "Keep here. Him been trying reform. Maggot know if bad, K-9 will smack with rolled up newspaper."

While the conversations were going on Susan took a few minutes to find her center or at least the area just left of her center which was close enough to fake it. Susan adjust the strap on her helmet as the others exited the lobby to go to the garage. Before she followed though she turned back to Ethan and smiled a little as she took another look at his eye. “Are you sure you feel safe alone with this hardened street tough Keller?” A small laugh escaped as she fought back a larger smile, “I can give him a stern talking to before we leave if you want?”

"You were in space? And flew back in on your own?" Liz jerked her attention back to Eva. There was a hint of envy in her voice.

Listening to his teammates talk, all K-9 can think of is Sister Agnes and the others in the clutches of...whatever. "K-9 going to van. Rest of team comes in few minutes or can follow K-9 to Theatre District. People dying while team talks...K-9's people."

Stalking to the elevator K-9 begins the long trip down to the parking garage.
