Otakumon: Gigantor's fist connects with a solid blow, giving off another thunderous noise upon impact and even though Gigantosaur takes a step back from the sheer amount of force behind the attack the creature once again roars in defiance.

Sea-King II – Marcus
HP: 1 Luck: 2 Condition: Fine

As Marcus frees both hands by placing his Trident back across his back Otakumon’s giant robot strikes Gigantasaur again very nearly sending the Crown Prince of Atlantis back into the oceans from which he came. He approaches the box attached to the animal and grabs a hold as he crouches down over it. With a great heave and a loud groan he starts to pull at it.

Sea-King II: As you pull on the device that has been attached to Gigantosaur's you find that it's been embedded into the flesh of the creature. Which makes it much more secure than you first realized but your sea-born strength is enough to wrench it free, though there are red and purple bits connected to the ends of the contraption that was rooted into the side of Gigantosaur's head.

Almost immediately, Gigantosaur starts roaring in pain as you quickly finish the task you set for yourself. The massive beast thrashes about, swinging it's arms and tail wildly in pain and causing even more waves to roll out from it which forces the AEGIS ships to pull further back.

That'll make it Big Purple's turn.

Gigantosaur lashes out immediately, targeting the closest being to him - Gigantor, and the creature's tail slams into the other giant forcing the construct back.

Perun

With the sea kings efforts mostly unknown to Perun being on the other side of the giant lizard. The only thing he could think of doing is what he intended to in the first place buy Marcus the time he needed ..... Leaping off the shoulder into the air once more to come down with his axe onto the beast giant head."RROOOOOOOOOOOAAAR" KA-THOOM.

Perun: The discharge of lighting is almost blinding to those looking on as you once again lay into Gigantosaur but this time the end result is different. Perhaps it's due to Otakumon's construct continuing to hammer down or the precise, minor injury near such a sensitive area that the Sea-King managed to inflict, either way Gigantosaur steps back even more after your blow lands with a telling mark upon his head showing where you scored your hit.

In response Gigantosaur roars, much angier than you've heard from him so far and you can almost swear there is a clairity in his eyes now that had been lacking only moments ago as he then paws at his own head and shoulders in an effort to free himself of the two beings who have been pestering him non-stop. His large, clawed hands easily reaching for both Perun and Sea-King and the avatar of thunder finds himself caught before he can regain a secure footing on the creature's shoulder while prince of the seas finds himself unceremoniously deprived of his perch on the other shoulder of the beast.

Both of you fall several stories into the water and dozen of feet away from Gigantosuar as he wastes no time in lowering himself into the waters to the point that only his head breaks the surface and turns himself about, heading out of Centery Narrows with the AEGIS watercrafts in hot pursuit while many of those that remain airborn and within the Narrows to keep it secure both cheer at their victory over a creature famous for it's destructive rampages as well as jeer at Gigantosaur as well.

At this point Gigantosaur has had enough and makes a fast withdraw from the fight.

Otakumon
Hp 3 Lp 2
Cond : Normal

Thomas can't help but cringe at the fearsome blow Gignatosaur lands on his construct. The imaginary metal of Gigantor buckles gravely, forcing him to one knee. Oh, God., Thomas thinks, his hands suddenly tightening on the Skybolt's controls. The danger in making childhood memories come to life is the risk of seeing them smashed by the real world. He can't help but feel relieved, then, when Gigantosaur disengages and moves to return to the open sea. "Perun, Marcus, do you read?", Thomas calls into the commlink, swooping low over the river where they entered the water. Marcus should be fine, but Perun got tagged a little.

As the creature leaves, however, a new concern occurs to him. "I've got a sudden, sinking feeling that this has been a giant purple distraction."

OoC wrote:Gigantor's toughness is 1d20+20=26  Yikes....It's a good thing Barney is leaving! I'll swing down to water level and look for Marcus and Perun. (Assuming we're out of combat.) Sea-King II - Marcus

When the box broke free of the beasts flesh Marcus staggered back and silently cursed to himself as he saw the meat and blood still stuck to the box. He hardly had time to celebrate before he had to fight to regain his footing from the battle with the giant robot and then the staggering blow that Perun delivered sent him flying through the air. With a twist and a spin that spoke magnitudes of the grace of the Crown Prince of Atlantis he cut into the water with a clean dive that would’ve promised him gold at any Olympics.

He floated beneath the water for a few seconds after he landed just letting himself relax. He watched Gigantosaur swim off and away from them and could hear Otakumon talking over his communicator.

Otakumon wrote:"Perun, Marcus, do you read?"

He could see his friend and ally flying over the water on his skybolt, obviously searching for him and Perun, and with a kick of his feet he moving back towards the surface. He raised the control box above his head when he broke the surface of the waves. Hoping that the water hadn’t damaged it too much, the scientists of Atlantis had told him over and over that the Salt Water of the ocean wreaked havoc on surface technology.

Otakumon wrote:"I've got a sudden, sinking feeling that this has been a giant purple distraction."

“Just another song they’ll sing about us Brother.” There was a large smile on Marcus’s face as he floated on his back with the box on his stomach. “Do you remember that time that Otakumon, Perun, White Lantern and Sea-King beat back that Giant Purple monster?! It was Legendary!”

Everyone: After Otakumon collects both Perun and Sea-King from the water the three of them join up with White Lantern and head to meet with Avatar and Joan Arcanum at Riverside Park.

As everyone gathers together to share the events of what happened with Gigantosaur with those who left as well as go over the device Sea-King pried free of the creature a middle-aged AEGIS agent approaches you. Those among you who have lived in Freedom City for a few years easily recognize him as he gets closer, it is Chief Administrator of the Freedom City Operations Stewart “Rock Star” Bonham.

Sea-King II - Marcus

As Marcus was regaling the others, and a small crowd, with the tale of their heroism and epic battle, only slightly played up to increase the awesomeness of their deeds, he noticed the older man approach. He didn’t recognize him. He also didn’t check to see if the others recognized him, which they most certainly did.

"Nice work out there." Then points at the metal object in Sea-King's hands, "Where'd you pull that from?"

The crown prince of Atlantis wrapped a free arm around Bonham’s shoulders and pulled him into the conversation, the smile never leaving his face. “I pulled this from the very skull of Gigantosaur. I climbed up his scaly back while my brothers in arms pounded it from all corners.” He created the image in his mind’s eye, “My bones ached and my fingers bled as I scaled the giant beast. Brave Otakumon, fighting him blow for blow with one of his giant creations was knocking Gigantosaur around so much I feared the beast would buck me off but I climbed onward.”

“The Mighty Perun struck him with both lightening and Axe and the Wise White Lantern tried to contain him with chains of light so that I could reach the monsters highest peaks. When I reached his very top what I found was this box sewn into his very flesh and bone.” He released Bonham from his arm and held the box out in front of him in both hands. “I saw no other possible solution to the madness of the monster so placed both hands on the box and with a mighty heave I tore it free from sinewy flesh!”

Marcus paused the story, who knows if he did it for effect or to actually think about it. “As soon as I broke it free from him I was thrown back into the very womb of the sea and the monstrous Gigantosaur started back into the depths of the ocean.”

Bonham listens as Sea-King regals him with how the League dealt with Gigantosaur and gained ownership of the device he held, letting the Prince of Atlantis manhandle him slightly during the telling. Once released he eyes the device again for a moment.

Tony took a few steps forward to Marcus hand proffered to take the device. "May I, Prince?"

Assuming Marcus handed it over to him, he turned it about in his hands, studying it with a scientist's eye. "I might be able to figure it out-I'd have to take it apart, though, and it'd be better to do that at the Hall. I would then be happy to let you know what we find out." He may have just been a chemist, but, contingent to calling on the right archetype, he could certainly tinker with a gadget like that.

Bonham nods at Avatar. "Alright, the League's got resources just as good as anything AEGIS does. Just be sure to keep us in the loop on whatever you learn about it, cause I'm thinking we haven't seen the last of Gigantosaur. His behavior wasn't typical of previous times he's come here and I'm thinking something off."

With that Bonham leaves the group to their own workings, and returns to overseeing his people.

Also assuming he's going to try and figure the device out then Avatar will have to make a Knowledge [Technology] DC 30.

Tony MacKenzie/Avatar

When they arrived back at Freedom Hall, Tony took the device to the building's workshops, preparing to take it apart and see what it did and how it did it. To do that, he needed certain skills, skills he didn't have normally.

"Machine Mind," He said softly, calling upon an archetype relating to man's dreams of interfacing more efficiently with machines. Then he got to work, reaching out to the machine with his mind, being able to speak its language now, if it had one. If not, he'd simply have to read its 'body language', as it were.

Okey doke, let's extra effort here for a new Alternate Form (because Tony's Analytical genius form is less tony stark and more sherlock holmes-he's a damn fine thinker, but not really tech-savvy) I could just bump Tony's Intelligence to 42 and then give him 16 ranks of Knowledge (technology), but if I ever need to use this form again, I want it to be a little more fleshed out than that.

Machine Mind
Enhanced Intelligence 18 (that makes Tony's 32), Enhanced Enhanced Skills Computers 13 (+24), Disable Device 13 (+24), Knowledge-Technology) 14 (+25)), and for the sake of future reference, Datalink 9 PF:Machine Control, Mental Quickness 6, and Comprehend (Machines) 2. I'll probably add some other stuff, but that's not important now.

Technology check 1d20+25=38
