My favorite moment is when someone suggests that Earth has a third Green Lantern they should consider, Guy...

And both Hal and John say at the same time, "NO!"

But...

"NO!"

:)

My Girlfriend had a laugh because when it was suggested while we were watching it, I yelled no at the same time they did. Glad to see that Hal and John were on the same page as me.

I understand some in the League might feel that Billy lied to him, but really, his powers come with that appearance, and it's unlikely the League shares all of their secrets with each other. I doubt Billy knows Superman's or Batman's secret identities for instance. If the League had no problem with Captain Marvel's performance in the past, then they've got no grounds to really throw him out.

I definitely see what Wonder Woman is trying to get at, so much so that I don't know which side in the debate I would cast my vote for. What Wonder Woman is trying to say is that using child soldiers is just plain wrong, regardless of whether or not that child soldier is in the body of one of the most powerful beings alive in the entire multiverse. We tend to give issues like this a pass in comic book worlds because of how prevelant a trope pre-teen heroes are, but that still doesn't change the fact that as adults they should realistically be about as well adjusted adults as Rusty Venture, rather than ending up like Nightwing. I don't think Wonder Woman's problem was really Captain Marvel's "lie of omission", and more that the league already shot down her much more sensible argument and she was left grasping for straws.

Wonder Woman isn't a huge hipocrate, she's just a lousy debater who was thrown in to the ring against a much more proficient conversationalist (Batman) and ended up with her foot in her mouth. I think we've all been there at one point or another.

It isn't that I don't see Wonder Woman's point, or that I can't respect her for it given her standing for Truth and all. It just comes off as kind of hypocritical in the face of some issues.

Wonder Woman: "You lied to us about your age."

Captain Marvel: "Actually, I never lied about it. You never asked."

Wonder Woman: "You still didn't tell us you were a kid. You kept an important secret from us."

Captain Marvel: "And Superman and Batman still haven't told me their secret identities yet. I guess they're keeping important secrets from me too. Should we bring them up for membership review as well?"

Wonder Woman: " . . . . But no one knew you were a kid."

Batman: "I did."

Wonder Woman: "Well that doesn't surprise me, given you started training Robin to be a crime fighter when he was 9."

Batman: "Didn't you start Amazon combat training at around 7?"

Wonder Woman: " . . . . . "

Batman: "Besides, I trained Robin so that he could bring his parents killers to justice."

Wonder Woman: "So he could end up like you?"

Batman: " . . . . so that he wouldn't."

*silence*

Captain Marvel: "Say Diana, given your own thoughts on slavery, why aren't you more upset by what's happened with Dr. Fate and Zatara?"

Hal Jordan: "It's probably because Zatara's a man, so he doesn't count."

Wonder Woman: "HAL!"

Hal: "Sorry, sorry, I think I just got hit with some characterization from the Hal Jordan in the Justice League comic. I'll try to keep a lid on it."

Just watched Agendas.
I have to say I'm still noticing the trend that the Young Justice team can't seem to stand up in a fight without a macguffin... it's a little disheartening.

Well, to be fair, they often go up against people who far outstrip them in terms of power or experience. It showcases that, while the kids are the stars of the show, the Justice League is still more powerful and experienced than them, and the kids remain the underdogs during several of their fights.

In Superboy's case he was going up against someone who was not only stronger and more durable, but could also fly and had heat vision, and no concept of restraint.

I do agree though that they need to fight more people on their own level so they can get some clean wins in.

The showrunner Greg Weissman did the Spectacular Spiderman animated show; the guy voicing the Black Spider (I think thats the name of the assassin) was also the voice of Peter Parker for that show. Its an easter egg for Weissman fans.

It's not really an Easter egg when it is overly blatant. I was more saying "what was the point of that?"

Considering how many cameos and references there are in the series (Weissman loves allusions), I think its pretty clear why he put in the spider-dude: he thought it would be cool. I thought it was cool, and I didn't even watch Spectacular Spiderman. My friend who did watch it was squealing with glee when it happened.

Though I was very excited to see Black Spider in this episode, this isn't the first time he's been on the show. Not sure what all the 'buzz' is about. He made an appearance back in "Infiltrator" (though as part of a team effort)?

Thats true, I forgot he was in that ep too. I guess my friend got excited because he actually spoke this time: and he spoke with the voice of Spiderman (or at least the Spiderman he's used to; I'm more familiar with the old Fox animated Spiderman).
