((I'll straight out tell you, you'll need at least a 40 to try and take control of the defenses. Slightly less if you want to shut them down. And lower that that to try and divert them.))

Even an exhaustive search reveals no such thing. It doesn't look like Unicron was built to interact with anything.

Rin

"We should probably just blast any defenses that get in our way."

Rin continues on. "I still think we should be whistling. There was this movie with a lot of whistling while they worked. These guys were building a bridge across a river, and then they had to blow it up. Very confusing. Don't remember the name."

<Beat>

"Volunteers. That's what it was."

"I dunno if poking around in the security's such a good idea," Dave says, "I mean, this is all unicron himself, right? hooking your mind into the systems means putting your will against that of a primordial space god-monster-robot-planet....thing. Rin, back me up here, how bad could this mess him up?"

Rin

"Pitting his will against an entire planet? On a scale of 1 to 10, about 5,000."

Notice: 1d20+10=14
Oh, good. I was worried my crappy rolling wouldn't follow me to other games.

Carter Cash:
HP: 2

"Yeah, mind diving into the super-planet-computer-of-death doesn't sound like the best idea ever. Let's just get to the core."

Indomitable and Carter manage to stop short as a portion of the floor gives way into a a stream of... something noxious.

Fandango, Dave and Rin need to make a DC 20 reflex check or take a DC 25 toughness check and a DC 20 fortitude check.

Carter, you have also noticed what you're pretty sure is a Spider-bot in the vents above the area you're walking in.

roll 15 + ref 6 = 21

Dave falls, then stops midplummet as his feet metamorphose into rocket boots

and if rin and/or fandango fail their saves, Dave tries to catch them

(Got an 11, HP for reroll.

1d20+8=22

Fandango stops in the nick of time to avoid the fall into the gas pit.

"Oh man, I really hope that doesn't lead where I think it does. Unicron's blowin it up in here!"
