No Ultimate Spider-Man love?

Absolutely loved the first two episodes. Animation was very good, action sequences were awesome, voice-acting was pretty close to what I feel was spot on (especially Drake Bell as Petey/Spidey).

Just all around very, very good. I'm a fan!!!

I haven't seen it. From what I have read about it, I doubt I'll like it, but I do like Spidey so I will probably at least check it out.

Have to admit it, it was better then the first new episode of Avengers. I like the over abundance of personality the characters have.

I thought the first episode was kind of 'meh', but that the second one picked up considerably. I have mixed feelings about the Frightful Four as badguys: on one hand Paste Pot Pete is awesome (in a goofy sort of way) and needs to be in more stuff, but on the other hand Klaw means that we're unlikely to see Shocker any time this season. Also, I'm a little wierded out by Greg Cipes' voicework as Iron Fist, but that's probably because Ultimate Alien is still fresh in my mind.

No, no love. I might have stayed with it after the first episode. I wasn't a fan of the fourth-wall breaking (I wouldn't have minded simple VOs), but overall it felt fine.

But the second episode's focus on over-the-top comedy grew tiresome and quickly at that. I think Avengers: EMH handles the balance much better. Episode two was way over the top into silliness. Not my cup of tea.

In fact, I want the other end of the spectrum: a more adult superhero cartoon. Yes, I understand the odds of that are slim now that Disney owns Marvel, but a girl can dream, no?

Yeah, I'm not a fan. Maybe future episodes will be better, but for me, the humor was mostly just kind of 'meh', with the only part that made me chuckle being the 'Spider-Man in Spanish Class' joke. The constant Ferris Buller 4th wall breaking just kind of ruined the pace of the show and wasn't very entertaining. This show is actually sillier than the Teen Titans cartoon, which I liked, but this was silliness oversaturation.

The animation was pretty nice and fluid tho. It makes me wish that the Spectacular Spider-Man series would have had this show's animation team, but the older team's fight choreography and writing team. It would have been just about perfect.

But no, not digging the show so far.

While I will admit that there were moments I would rather have not been included, one must remember that we will be following the show's titular character along his journey into becoming more of an adult (I think methaphored by the whole 'Ultimate' thing).

Clearly he is still a teenager and the show seems to exploit that... yes, at times tipping a little too much towards the zany side of the scale. But the rest of it far outweighs what, in my humble opinion, is just a small annoyance.

It was defnlee teen-titansy in its presentation and i can totally understand if that deters some people from watching, but i will defnlee try and include it on my cartoon watching hangover recovering sunday mornings.

Though learning of Marvel's new emphasis on a non Rich Rider Nova was unsettling.. but i'll manage.

Its not Young Justice, but it will find its niche i'm sure..

I liked this one a lot. I generally watch cartoons with my daughter, and we were looking forward to two. Marvel's Super Hero Squad had been highly recommended and seemed ideal for us, and the new Spider-Man show, which was almost an afterthought.

I really disliked Super-Hero squad (click here for my post on why), but we were just astounded by how good every aspect of Spider-Man was. We're eagerly looking forward to the next episodes.

Taking the representation of Iron Fist, Luke Cage and White Tiger with a grain of salt, I am really enjoying this show. Looking forward to a new episode every week and haven't been disappointed with one yet!

I'm weirded out by hearing Keven Levin's voice coming from Iron Fist.

I'm digging this. We watched the three most recent episodes, and the feel reminds me a bit more of Scott Pilgrim than Teen Titans, but I can certainly see that too.

There are a lot of redundancies in the power composition of the team members. I mean, do you really need White Tiger if you already have Iron Fist? I've got to wonder if they're all going to make it to the end of the season.

Still, it's nice to see a Spider-Man who's part of the larger Marvel Universe.

Taskmaster proves why even training alone isn't enough, sometimes you have to improvise. Loved how they showed his power working.

Hulk next week, this is going to be epic. How will they take him down? Will Danny have to talk to Hulk to calm him down so he reverts to Bruce Banner or something completely unexpected.
