Ha ha. If Larry were the type to make a call like that, it's probably something he'd do as well if he felt backed into a corner. Not out of any cunning instinct, but just for lack of anything better to do. Hee hee.

HH, can Larry use Well Informed to see if anything about Oz's description rings a bell, or would it be better for Larry to take that info and use Online Research to see if that description gets any hits in cyberspace (I'm sure there are wild card usenet groups or basic web sites that track known carders and their abilities)?

Regardless, the roll is the same:

computer check (1d20+10=15)

Which sucks, so hp reroll:

computer check reroll (1d20+10=20) + 10 = 30!

There might be internet groups that do that sort of thing, but remember in '96, websites tended to be rather disorganized and clunky. Search engines were pretty poor too. I remember '98 being a 'break out' year for search engines and the like. It always amazes me how things have changed in a mere 16 years.

Also any Ace or 8 still "up the sleeve" would be hard to pin down. Well Informed, for a Gather Information check might work better, especially if you're trying to track down rumours.

Hi everyone, back from holiday, just catching up with everything.

Minos is with Tarot and Revenant (MR still doing his show...?) at the Sandhoff house, getting in on the pretext of being a lawn service... Minos supplies the fertilizer?? And we're there to see if we can turn up anything suspicious, like Charles, or other Aces or Jokers??

Is that all correct?

Wow...

I loved it. :D

Of course, poor Art has no way of knowing the team looks like a bunch of guys from a landscaping/lawncare service, not like...themselves.

Heh. Anyway, I'm going to let Bluecross respond for Minos, now that he's back.

I hope vacation was cool BC. Welcome back.

Larry doesn't have Gather Info as a ranked skill, so without a computer to back him up Well Informed doesn't really do much. Okay, I'll think of something else to post.

It's definitely one of the top 10 moments of the campaign.

Nah, I'm sure he'd find a chat room where he could pick up the information he needs (or at least as much as is available). I just have to decide whether to post it in the IC thread and let everyone read it, or send it by PM and let Larry explain it...

...expect a PM, having Larry explain what he's found will be much more entertaining.

As I sit and consider the other top 10 moments of this campaign, I'm pretty sure Larry is just going to be one of them.

HH, am I still to expect a PM for Larry or should I go ahead and post something to move things along?

I've been out much of the day, but I'm home now, so I'll get the PM up as soon as I can.

No problem. Got the PM. I'm at work now so I probably won't be able to post until tonight.

Okay, so there was a lot of information in that PM HH sent me, so I think I'm going to have Larry disappear to work on his computer for a few minutes and then come back to the lab with his findings. I don't think Larry would be able to recall this info all in one shot. :P
