Just popping in really quick before stepping away again, but I wanted everyone to know that I'll get to the attack Saturday morning.

Just an FYI to everyone, Bombaatu and I had been discussing via PM his move and while he was in a separate scene, now that he has crashed though the window into Passenger Car three (about 42 feet ahead of you), that'll bring the scenes together.

Initiative has worked out this way:

Jessica just entered the dining car
Spade Mind Read the waitress
Truth is waiting until she see the whites of their eyes
Wu Guang just plowed though the window that he had seen shot out moments before.

So that leaves Horace and Ghost Wolfe followed by Clell Miller and the unknown outlaw.

If anyone has any movement questions, I am going with the assumption that there is six feet (6') between train cars. So Horace and Wolfe, it is 6' into the dining car, 30ft of mining car (which you can pass anyone because it has no seats and another 6' into Passenger car 3 where you've just heard a lowed smash.

I'll post Wu Guang's post now, assuming my son stays asleep and doesn't attack me during the process. :)

OMFG!! My family & I just watched "Rango" on NetFlix Instant View. If you haven't seen it, you *must*. Some great western characters in there.

I also so a commercial for the new Hatfields and McCoys TV show that is coming out this summer. A resurgence of the Western perhaps?

Oh, and Bombaatu, uber karma there. It must be the 2500 post luck or something. :)

BTW, it's the top of the Init Order, but if Truth wants to move into position based on last turn, feel free.

So we're back to the top of the initiative order. So next up is Jessica (Aerlwyn), followed by Spade (Xero), Truth (Nine of Spades), Horace (Badpenny), Wu Guang (Bombaatu) and Wolfe (Hound).

Here's the setup. Horace and Ghost Wolfe are through the set of doors to the passenger car both using seats for cover. Straight ahead through the doors is Dickie Younger trying to unjam his gun in the center of the aisle. Past him is Clell Miller who is behind one of the last seats. At the moment neither have hostages/human shields because Wu Guang surprise them and karma apparently decided to jam both their weapons with back to back natural 1s.

I guess you have a few options, you could try and shoot through panes of glass, but it'd be easy enough to open both doors and still get an attack off.

EDIT: Or do something else, but those are two attack options anyway.

FYI, I "drew" up a map for a PM, but I might as well post it here since I don't think I've been descriptive enough about the train car setup.

Assume "up" is towards the locomotive.

DD - Door
SSSS - Seat/Bench
D - Dickie
C - Clell
W - Wu Guang
H - Horace
G - Ghost Wolfe
S - Spade
J - Jessica

----DD----
D---------D
-------C--
SSSS.....SSSS
----------
SSSS.....SSSS
----------
SSSS-D-SSSS
---W------
SSSS.....SSSS
----------
SSSS.....SSSS
G-------H
D--S-- J-- D
----DD----
----DD----

The individual "D"'s on the side are doors for passengers to get on and off the cars, they're locked while moving so they might as well be regular walls with windows.

Dickie is in the middle of the car (about 20-25 ft away assuming the entire car is 60'), he originally started right next to Wu Guang, but after getting shot he stumbled back a bit before gathering his composure. Clell is about 45-50 ft away.

FYI, In this picture, Truth is off to the bottom somewhere in the Dining Car.

Hrm - I would have thought Wu Guang to be closer to the front of the car... or at least on the other side of Dickie.

It's just an approximation, but Dickie was at about the middle of the car when Wu Guang jumped through the window, so that's where he is give or take a seat. He also staggered backwards after being shot in the shoulder, which is why I put him a bit closer to the locomotive.

But a few people needed clarification as to where everyone was, so I'll make sure I'm clearer going forward.

Wu needs to be holding a babie, there is for some reason a ladder in the room, and he isn't looking for "trabble"

@Hound: You can't actually Aim and attack in the same round. Both are Standard actions. You'll have to use Extra Effort to Surge, or wait until next round to shoot.

MnM 3e pg. 194 wrote:By taking a standard action to aim and line up an attack, you get a bonus to hit when you make the attack. If you’re making a close attack, or a ranged attack at close range, you get a +5 circumstance bonus on your attack check. If you’re making a ranged attack from a greater distance, you get a +2 circumstance bonus.

However, you are vulnerable while aiming and it requires a free action to maintain your aim before you make your attack. If you are unable to maintain it, you lose its benefit.

Once you aim, your next action must be to make the at-tack. Taking a different action spoils your aim and you lose the bonus.
