Argus

Lou was glad to see the team turned back into the animal he knew within seconds of being released. He was worried a little at the musings they had made while they were trapped. The cabin fever took hold fast but left them just as quickly. Listening to the others he moved about the room looking for anything of interest . Tech , tell tail signs of other victims, plans blue prints scimatics . Had they not a mission to complete and the others were not here, he would hunt The doctor down and rip every metal extension from him and place him in a tube of his own . Turning to the others leaving that half formed thought for later ....Lets do what we are going to do ! I stay here much longer ....I...Looking to Susan as if at least she might understand .

Eva barely glanced up at the transformation focused as she was on the work at hand. She did however spare a glib witicism. "Havent seen anything like that since Freedomcon, Guess thats where they got the idea for Magical girl Nanoa Nanoa*" she had a half smirk on her face.

Dovetail: As you take in your first look of the room without the glare of light reflected off the tube you’d been held inside you spot a tall, rectangular contraption that has many, many wires of various sizes and colors connected to it and running to several different machines in the room. It’s a set up you’ve seen before in third world countries; a rewired electrical transformer that powers everything in this room.

That would make a nice explosion.

Vindicator: While you possess an excellent understanding of how Doctor Shock puts together his cobbled technology and you have to admit that he is very highly skilled at cannibalizing one machine and hardwire it’s parts into another to vastly alter it’s functions.

While you do find a surprising amount of biological information on the members of FORCE Ops, you find nothing about the Sister or where she might be held.

Warshade: After giving your data pad a quick once over you find that it’s contents and programs have not been tampered with nor copied.

Following your look over the room you realize that besides the door that Doctor Shock used to exit that there are two others. One is half hidden behind a set of modified televisions and the other one is on the opposite side of the room, behind where the tubes everyone had been held in.

You also realize that the majority of the equipment in the room is of a data gathering nature, all of them had been measuring various biological data from you and the rest of the team. You recognize them from old technical manuals you’ve read at AEGIS (who developed several of said machines).

H4ck: You spot the door behind the tubes everyone had been held in as well as the semi-hidden door behind the altered televisions, but what is really interesting is that next room that Doctor Shock entered is now empty of anyone.

However it is filled with a small assortment of devices and creations that seem to have a medical purpose to them as well as another set of doors, one normal and the second hidden in the wall.

OOC wrote:Ok, you want secret Notice & Search Checks? I can do that, but it seems that color coding the links won't work. So I've got the rolls and given out information based on how well they came out.

If anyone wants to know what they were I'll share them via PM.

Aurora: On the other side of the tubes that you, and the others had been held in, there is another door. Then you spot a third door somewhat hidden behind a set of modified televisions on the right side of the room.

K-9: Before Dovetail started barking out her orders as to who was doing what, you already were taking in all of the scents present in the lab.

It smells very much like what you remember the Be-ne-fac-tor’s space to - a mixture of burnt metals, singed plastics, and burning ozone mixed somewhat with the sterile scent of a hospital.

But among all those scents and memories you manage to pick up the faint traces of the Sister, she’d been through this room in the past couple of hours. But her trail doesn’t lead out the door Doctor Shock used, instead it goes towards a door slightly hidden behind a set of modified televisions.

OOC wrote:Just to get things moving along I’ll roll for K-9.

Fingers flying over buttons and controls Evas eyes scanned the data that was present. Alot of it was biological and technological data on the team itself no doubt gathered during their brief captivity. While she wanted to download as much of the data as she could, she didnt think shed have the time. The Doctor looked to be as skilled with computers programming as he was with crosswiring and hybridizing machinery. She saw several levels of Encryption that would even take her a few mintues to crack; minutes she didnt think she had.

Mores the pity.

It was a pretty staggering amount of data, fortunately Eva had a memory like a high def recorder. So as she scanned the Doctors files she memorized all the details of his works and the data available, it was kind of like that time she'd decided to speed read the entire Lord of the Rings trillogy, the Hobbit, and the Simillarion all at once. Unfortunately no information on Sister Agnes was avilable The Doctor obviously didnt consider her relevant enough to his data to include her in the files.

Finaly finishing memorizing all the data she could she stepped back her right hand glowed brightly for a moment as she charged the suits plasma projectors and then agitated the plasma in its containment field. The agitated plasma was hotter then a star. Eva then pointed her hand let fly with the burst of raw star energy with eevery intention of reducing the computers to slag along with the information they containted.

No time to download the data the new fangled way, so shell do it the old fashioned way and memorize it all. Then just step back and reduce the computers to so much slag which I imagine they'd be after the place was blown up anyways.

All that data. On us. Liz felt uncomfortable with the amount of information Doctor Shock probably already had on the team. They could only hope it was all still stored locally. Otherwise, some villain would end up with a textbook on how to take apart Force Ops, one piece at a time. "Dovetail, this equipment was taking every kind of reading you can imagine on us. It would probably be bad to leave it intact." Liz also wanted to know what the villain had learned from them already but there wasn't time. She frowned at the computers, hating to just throw away data.

"Which way?" She looked between the two other doors, figuring following Doctor Shock wasn't the right answer. They needed to find Sister Agnes first.

Susan West - Dovetail
Hp: 1 Condition: Bruised x 1

Susan was running wire down the wall away from the door and over to the electrical transformer where she attached a handy square of plastic explosive on the underside and continued to do something kind of technical very quickly.

Warshade wrote:"Dovetail, this equipment was taking every kind of reading you can imagine on us. It would probably be bad to leave it intact."

She looked over at Warshade, a bit of red wire was in between her lips and a wire cutter was in her fist. She clicked on her communicator and talked softly just to Liz. She paused, almost hesitated, before she spoke. "Make a copy of the data if it's possible. Don't tell the others for now." She looked the girl in the eyes as she said it. "Then wipe the data if you can. Ask Vindicator for help if you need it."

Dovetail looked back to the explosive and finished twisting tight a few wires before she stabbed the detonator into the explosive. "K-9! What door are we using?"

The mutated marvel jerked his head towards the stack of modified televisions. “Sister’s scent leads to poorly hid door Alpha.” As he speaks K-9 starts making his way towards that door to take the lead, assuming that his leader will want him in front to continue to track the missing nun.

It’s at this point that H4ck has finished his mental viewing of the room Doctor Shock had left through. “Dovetail, all I’m seein’ looks ta be a bunch of medical tech in the next room and no sign o’ Doctor Shock.”

"Vindicator, hold up." Liz started to reach for the battlesuit's arm but then thought better of it. "Let Dovetail's bomb take care of it. We don't want to let them know what we're up to." She pulled out her datapad and started fiddling with it. "This is AEGIS tech. Or it used to be. I think I might know a way in."

I'm going to Extra Effort the following power off the Data Scanner, using the same methodology I did with the Teleport tracker way back when, if that's OK.

Computer Interface - 9 points
-Datalink 1 (Rapidx3)
-Computers +10
-Quickness 3(Computers Only)
-Second Chance (Computers)

Then I'll use it to access, copy and then destroy Doctor Shock's data.

Eva shut down the suits blast with a thought as she looked at Liz. She'd been thinking maybe a little too fast and forgotten Liz's datapad, this would eb a good chance to watch it in action she considered.

"All right use this dataport..." she indicated it, "Its a standard K8 port with some modification for a universal jack. Hes got several layers of encryption using multile binary sequencing and a logisitic circulatiing algorythm that alternates key codes on a regular basis...."

Eva bent over to watch Liz work and pointed out various parts of the Doctors system as Liz's computer program did its work.

Vindicators computer roll to aid Liz 35 YAY should be good enough to aid her.

Susan West - Dovetail
HP: 1 Condition: Fine

Susan was relieved that Warshade kept her head about the request she had made. She could understand why most of them would probably want that data destroyed but it could certainly have its uses and who knew what other information was on those drives. It didn’t take her long to place the bomb or to rig it to the door. It was a very straightforward operation for someone with her special skill set. Hell it wasn’t even the first time she had rigged an electrical transformer to blow up.

“Nobody touch that door.” She said loud enough for everyone to hear her as she pointed at the door that she rigged to explode. "It wouldn't be a good thing." As she approached the door that K-9 indicated the sister had gone through she edged over to it keeping next to the wall. She crouched as she reached the door, putting her head about level with the doorknob before she inspected the door for traps.

Search (1d20+11=30) And if she doesn't find anything...

When she was sure that the door was cleared she slowly pushed it open and peered around the corner into the other side. Lowering her head she looked through the infravision sensors to see if she couldn’t pick up any recent movement in the area.

Then the mage moved into a position to cover her with a Barrier. There was no telling what was on the other side.

Warshade & Vindicator: Between Liz's understanding of AEGIS tech and Eva's understanding of how Doctor Shock's bastardizing style of technology they make short work of the safeguards that had been put into place and are able to download all of the information the computer had gathered on the team into Warshade's datapad before deleting the information from Doctor Shock's system.

Dovetail: The room was almost completely black from a lack of light but the infravision tech built into the screen of your helmet makes it a non-issue. The faded glowing patches of old heat make it clear that it's been over an hour since anyone has been through this room but their tracks go to the far side of the room and disappear through what must be another door.

There is no sign of any kind of traps of any kind but you do notice several infrared sensors set around the far door as well as a keypad at chest level next to the where the door must be.

HP 1

K-9 crouched on the other side of the door from Dovetail and peered in. The heat traces were cooled, though the faint glow from the sensors was visible. K-9 flexed his claws. He wondered if his mysterious benefactor had thought to make that door strong enough to withstand his natural weaponry. He doubted it.

"Data's erased. I'm pretty sure I got all of it." Liz reported and then mumbled into the mic for Dovetail only. "Per your orders." She turned back to Vindicator.

"Thanks for the assist. We can't be too careful about who sees that, right?"
