That is a super nifty way to represent Doc Occ! Plus it explains why sometimes he talks to the tentacles.

I felt it fit with his manipulation of magic. He can have spells from his Personal Array (like Mystic Shield) active at the same time as his Universal Array (Eldritch Blasts). I also felt it made the magic settup more like how it is described in the OHOTMU; thus giving spellcasters of the Marvel Universe their own feel.

Yes, it is quite expensive to do it this way, but Strange did not start out at this power level.
