Dante Frost had been a low level, street hero for a couple years, stopping small robberies and muggings. He and a friend of his he has yet to name (that most likely possesses superheroic level intelligence) made some trick weapons as well as a nice costume for Dante to wear as he tried to help out his troubled neighbour hood. Ever since he saw that head possessed mild regeneration powers, he had wanted to help the good fight and stop the villainous members of J.U.D.G.E. like H.E.R.O.I.C. did, but he didn't think he would be good enough to join, so he did the little he could, being a costumed vigilante for the area he could protect. Then one day though, he tried to stop a villain who he though was just a small timer, when it turned out to be the terrible Dr. Archeville. Libra and El Humidor had been chasing him through the city, and he had gotten away and shapeshifted, but Dante had reconized the look on his face as that of a man on the run from the law, and tried to stop him. Needless to say, Archeville beat him senseless, and ran him through with one of those deadly tentacles. He left Midnight (which is Dante's superhero moniker), for dead on the sidewalk, his regeneration powers unable to cope with the terrible wound inflicted on him. He was found unconscious in his superhero garb (think Alucard but with a mask to cover the eyes, and a smaller hat

) and a hole through his heart. They abandonned their pursuit of Archeville, and took the brave young lad back to H.E.R.O.I.C. headquarters. There, they were able to heal him and bring him back from the brink of death. The two told him what happened, and how impressed they were that even after the master villain transformed, Midnight stood his ground. He replied that he just couldn't let the that scumbag get away without putting up some kind of fight. Libra smiled and shook Midnight's hand. As the leader of H.E.R.O.I.C. did, he pressed something small and laminated into Midnight's gloved hand. When Midnight pulled it away, he couldn't believe it, but it was a H.E.R.O.I.C. membership card and commlink. Midnight agreed to join immediately, and has since been training to become the best he can, now standing on the frontlines against evil along with his comrades. (It's a beautiful story, ain't it?
