Biography: When the New Vindicators first met Atlanta Jane White… they didn’t know what to think. On the outside she was a cold and cool young woman, an aesthetic image of the dainty southern belle. At the time, she was attending the Bethel Baptist Bible Academy for Young Girls, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia. They had come to investigate a murder at her school, one that was being blamed on another Neo-Sapien student. Their suspect had fled into the mountains and Atlanta offered to help them find her.

As the daughter of two former Vindicators, the Aurelius and Phenomena, the young men and women wondered why Atlanta hadn’t been sent to study at the New Vindicators Academy. They were quick to judge the young woman, dismissing her as a spoilt princess born without the talents possessed by either parent.

They believed they didn’t need her.

When she left on her own, fighting her way through the other girl’s uncontrollable powers and calming her down… they quickly realized that it was she who had never truly needed them.

It would be several more years before Atlanta’s mother would permit her to leave the school she had all but been raised in and attend the New Vindicators Academy of America through her senior year. Her powers, inherited from her mother, cause of a surge of hormones within Atlanta’s physiology that leave her in a perpetual rush of fight-or-flight response. At present, this enhances Atlanta’s senses and physicality; dilated blood vessels increase leg and arm muscles. It seems as though the release of key nutrients within the body has perfected her constitution- which helps to combat the rigors such a stress response would otherwise have on her body.

Though theorized that her body had not yet reached the pinnacle of her powers, her strength had many speculate that she would inevitably follow in her mother’s footsteps and ascend to the ranks of the Vindicators. However, Atlanta made it no secret that her intention is to live as normal a life as she possibly can after graduation. Primed to leave the New Vindicators Academy of America for medical school, Atlanta’s medical studies helped her classmates countless times in their initial battle against the Affiliation.

Such expertise was called upon again during the Trials. Stranded on an island, Rumble happened upon an ambush; some of the graduates had been hired by the Wisent to kill Lodestone and when the hero’s squadron had fallen to the effects of Carrion’s powers- they made their move.

Rumble’s strength held off the attackers until help arrived- in the form of a hodgepodge of heroes from the Asian Academy. Among the would-be saviors was Brass, a young hero with powers, training and a background close to Rumble’s own. The two put their heads together to stabilize the American team and later went on an excursion to help their patients pass into the Final Trial. On such an outing the two’s feelings became apparent and a kiss was shared- marking the beginning of Rumble’s first relationship.

LURKER (Power Level 8 / Minion Level 8)

Real Name: James R Tiberius ("JT") Kirk

Biography: James R Tiberius Kirk prefers to go by JT, for obvious reasons. Raised in foster care, the young man spent years with no inkling of his true heritage. It wasn’t until his power to displace himself (or his senses) through shadows manifested that he learned of his origin…

His father was Michael Connors, the man known to the world as the villainous Shadow. As the second child Connors had sired by a henchwoman, Angelina Kirk, custody of JT was given over to the New Vindicators Academy of America.

For some time he presented himself as a trouble-some child. He used his Shadow-Scrying abilities to watch his female classmates shower or change and his Shadow-Walking to obtain alcohol and cigarettes which he managed to sell for a hefty profit. Though some of his deeds came to the attention of his educators, the young man was able to wiggle out of nearly every punishment put upon him.

NEW VINDICATOS: Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas – As JT reached his senior year, his sights fell on two students. He became enamored with Atlanta White, the New Vindicator known as Rumble, and befriended Jeremy Carlson (also known as Deimos). His mask of perpetual mischief-maker came off the night that Malachi "Kiln" Brown was murdered- revealing himself to Deimos as a member of the Affiliation, a group of Neo-Sapiens with dark ambitions. After failing to persuade Deimos to their side, Lurker withdrew into the shadows… only reappearing months later as the Affiliation’s tactics began to pick up steam.

He next appeared at what would have been his high school graduation, were it not for his defection to the Affiliation. Following the leader’s plan to divide and conquer the New Vindicators, Lurker was given the task of dealing with Deimos. Leaving from one shadow, Lurker pulled his former friend into another- putting them both in the boiler room beneath the school for their battle.

In the wake of the Affiliation’s defeat, Lurker is one of the few members shown to be truly loyal to their leader. Still, something lurks beneath the surface of the façade JT Kirk allows people to see… The young man is determined to grow and become the sort of threat to the world his father has always been.

Biography: When Jacquelyn Christine Webber was sent on a mission to kill the super-villain known as Isaac Inverse, she didn’t think that it would haunt her for the rest of her life. She never fooled herself into believing it would be a simple job- the man was notorious for using his gravity-manipulating powers against his opponents in torturous ways. He was a seasoned member of the criminal element- he could smell a trap. No, she was not novice enough to imagine it to be an easy job- she just didn’t think there would be repercussions.

Jacquelyn did her homework on the man and realized that despite the long list of sins allotted to his name, the man was pious. When he could, his large behind was in a pew at the church he grew up in- back home in Saint Petersburg. She masqueraded as a young parishioner, adamant in her prayer life. It didn’t take long to catch his eye. The man was a fool. He approached her on her second service there and bedded her on her third.

Isaac never met the new morning.

It was weeks later, on a mission in Paris that Jacquelyn felt dizzy and sick to her stomach. Her sudden expulsion of all she had eaten for lunch botched the robbery and left her fleeing from the local police. It didn’t take her long to realize that she was pregnant.

She abandoned the child soon after giving birth in a small port town in Maine. The baby girl was unnamed. An Interpol agent on Webber’s trail provided the midwife with the mother’s name… and the midwife gave that name to the child.

Jacquelyn Elaine Webber grew up, bouncing from orphanage to orphanage until she met Crusader. The Vindicator had met the senior Webber and heard the story her daughter’s conception. Recruiting young Neo-Sapiens to join the New Vindicators Academy as the next generation of heroes, the woman was disappointed the combination of powers had not manifested; still Crusader was at least pleased that Jacquelyn would still have something close to a normal existence as a human.

It was then that Crusader’s young companion Alexander “Lex” Sway attracted the attention of locals when his powers were accidentally displayed. Intent on lynching the young man, Lex sought a way to liberate himself from the humans without helping their case that Neo-Sapiens were monsters. Jacquelyn’s powers manifested in a subtle manner and allowed her to save the young man.

The pair were inducted into the New Vindicators Academy and placed in the same cell under the watchful eye of JJ Manther, the high-flying Caliber. Lex and Jacque began dating some time after being admitted to the school and eventually were allowed to participate in a social experiment at a public high school. Though the two greatly missed Caliber’s guidance, they found the torched passed to them as they were selected as new prefects for the school.

NEW VINDICATORS: Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas - When Halogen dispatched Tripper to lead a group of New Vindicators to send a distress signal, she had no clue she was sending her charges into a trap. A bomb had been placed for her students- one sent off when Anomaly's group arrived.

Her life was saved by the quick thinking of Copycat- but the damage had been done; Tripper had fallen onto shrapnel. Her life in danger she was rushed into surgery. Still, her wounds were severe enough to keep her from further taking part in the White War. After the battle, Anomaly took her to California to recooperate. While spending their summer vacation there, the two married...

NEW VINDICATORS: Sic Semper Tyrannis - They returned for the Trials and managed to make it through to the Final Trial where Tripper found herself facing Sclera. The man's eyes revealed the extent of her injuries and his mouth revealed her infertility to those present. Shamed and enraged, Tripper attacked Sclera directly and nearly lost her life to him in the process. Though Taegan was able to restore the wounds she had suffered at the Bengali's hands, he admitted he was powerless to heal the injuries she sustained months prior in the explosion- the injuries which rendered her unable to carry a child.

In the wake of all that happened, the Department of SPB Affairs extended an invitation to Anomaly, asking him on behalf of JJ Manther to join the Guardians. Anomaly refused, saying he would only accept if his wife were offered the same. Tripper too was offered to join the Guardians and the Sways accepted.

VINDICATORS: Coup d’état – When numerous villains began competing to see who could assassinate different former Vindicators, Alcatraz Island came under attack from the Order of Chaos, after Doctor Splash, Professor Incendiary and Siphon. Anomaly and Tripper found themselves working alongside the Illuminati and the Vindicators.

NEW VINDICATORS: Absit Omen – Following Rumble’s capture and Lodestone’s defection, Anomaly and Tripper were contacted by Loess and agreed to join her team of Vindicators- dedicated to saving their friends.

Biography: David Dathe is a tortured artist who feels apart from the rest of humanity. He understands that he sees things differently from everyone else—that he is not a rebel but a free thinker. It is his genius that has left him an outcast from the mainstream society and there is only one thing that could ever change that…

And that’s why David slashed his wrists open.

As he lay in the empty bathtub, his mind was aflutter with the thoughts of people finding him submerged in his own blood. As he began to bleed to death he smiled… and his Neo-Sapien powers manifested.

His attempt at a suicide attack failed… because David Dathe is incapable of being killed. David didn’t understand that though; he only understood that he had tried and failed.

“If at first you don’t succeed, try again.”

So he did and he has been trying ever since. To date, David Dathe—or “Suicide Dave” as the media has dubbed him—has killed himself a record fourteen times (it was a record after his second death) in various ways. He has been committed, imprisoned, and otherwise detained as his attempts have grown more and more dangerous; his attempts have come to involve innocent people now, forcing the New Vindicators to take action to thwart his extreme attempts at achieving death. Despite the preventive measures to keep him apart from society, somehow David finds his freedom and makes his move again.

Plot Hooks: Suicide Dave is given resources from a mysterious benefactor and in stopping him the PCs (and the media) watch helplessly as the madman finally doesn't get back up. The truth is that it's all an elaborate set-up by a bigger baddie looking to use the event to discredit the heroes- baptizing them as cruel and saddistic, corrupt and power-mad. Ultimately the heroes are forced to prove Suicide Dave isn't truly dead but has been forced into a trance/is trapped in the Astral Plane/is an illusion/whatever helps them clear their names.

"Cured" of his tendancies, Dave seeks to redeem himself and wants to use his powers for the good of the world. After some effort he somehow worms his way onto the heroes' roster. After a few missions it becomes obvious that Dave isn't cut out for the business and the PCs have to let him go. Trouble is, Suicide has gotten into the inner circle and knows some damning secrets... He'll expose them unless the heroes help him take their secrets to the grave.

Abducted from the institution where he's been held, Suicide Dave's powers now come in a bottle. When the city's citizens are suddenly immortal, the protection of the heroes doesn't seem needed. Normal humans are leaping from skyscrappers and jumping out in front of traffic- dying has become the newest extreme sport... but the potion apparently fades away after one week. To make matters worse, the potion has no effect the second time it's consumed. Unaware that their immortality has faded, the citizens need the PCs to stop them from killing themselves.

CORIOLIS (Power Level 8)

Biography: Marcos Verón lived for the finer things in life... rest, relaxation, lazing about without a thought in his head. That changed the day his Neo-Sapien powers manifested.

An attack on his village in the Brazilian rainforest left his people in a panic and the Guarani-Kaiowá fled their attackers. Their leader, Marcos' father, was savagely beaten to death. In a fury, Marcos summoned up the furry of a Nor-easter wind and hammered at his oppressors with it.

The might of the wind was in him. By spinning, he could produce and control gale-force winds. Looking at the people his father had left, he realized they saw him as a savior- he was someone to take his father’s place. Still, he was no leader. No matter how much he loved them... no matter how much he wanted to be there for them- he didn't have the head for leadership. They protested, but he knew he was not fit for it. Unable to take them begging and pleading him daily... he slipped away in the night and rode the wind to the north.

Eventually he found himself in the company of Doctor Splash; the man offered Marcos a safe haven where he could learn to use his powers... to learn the skills he would need to lead the people of Guarani-Kaiowá and make his father proud... Marcos was not drawn in by the prospect of saving his people though. No, Doctor Splash’s sales pitch fell on deaf ears. All it took for Marcos to join was to look at the two young women who accompanied the doctor- Alexandra Hawk and Maria Espada, the New Vindicators known as Fathom and Loess. Though the young man had originally declined to join on Doctor Splash’s invitation, he couldn’t have accepted the girls’ invitation quicker.

NEW VINDICATORS: Radix Malorum est Cupiditas - At some point during his senior year, Marcos was approached with a new invitation- this time to join the secret society known as the Affiliation. In exchange for his services, he was promised that Adonis could be made to use his powers to force Maria Espada to love him.

That plan appeared to change when Maria also joined the Affiliation, following their trip to Japan. She was approached by Pandora and joined out of fear she would share in Addison Truman's (Avian) fate. She was told by Chimera to approach Lodestone and convince him to join their side. Though he believed their relationship to be a ruse, jealousy began to overtake him and played upon his senses. His paranoia was stirred when the two were sent to recruit Mackenzie Lawrence (Orbit) to the institution and Maria interferred in his attempt to further recruit the young girl to the Affiliation.

Watching Magnus Loder with the object of his affections, accepted that Maria's heart was not with him nor with the Affiliation. He recruited Saffron Harris (Morph) to the Affiliation's side and informed the higher-ups of Maria's defection.

The night before their high school graduation, Marcos was given the go-ahead to disable Maria. He used his status as her trusted friend to spirit her away and locked her away in the lower bowels of Patriot Robotics. There he viciously beat, raped and tortured the woman he was infatuated with – leaving her for dead.

NEW VINDICATORS: Memento Mori – Upon learning of Maria's incarceration, he made contact with the Wisent and helped to coordinate a simultaneous attack on the city. While the New Vindicators were occupied handling the Wisent's other minions, Coriolis attacked Rikers Island, intending to free Maria and take her away once more. He encountered Lodestone and Captain Canada however; the redheaded girl was easily dealt with, forcing Lodestone to split in order to protect both Alicia and Maria. A battle between Coriolis and Lodestone ensued, with the manipulator of magnetism coming out ontop. With Coriolis defeated before him, Lodestone stopped himself from killing the man- opting instead to turn him over to the authorities to be punished for his crimes.

Due to Maria's inability to speak of what happened, there was no evidence that Coriolis had committed any crimes and thanks to the legal defense of Bo Vidae, the young Brazilian was freed. He encountered Magnus Loder soon after, the man informing him that while he respectfully disagreed with the court's decision, he would not stand in the man's way- so long as he kept his distance from Maria.

In the final battle with the Wisent, Coriolis returned, bringing reinforcements to the side of the New Vindicators. He confessed afterwards that he truly had loved Maria Espada and that affection had become obsession- something he was truly sorry for. He claimed he would not ask for forgiveness- citing that he didn't believe he was truly worthy of her forgiveness -and announced his intention to stay away from Maria, wanting to do whatever he could to make her happy and whole again... even if that meant hurting himself.

Despite his past actions, Coriolis remains dedicated to the ideal of being a man who fights for the good of the world. Seeking to redeem himself for his sins, he returned to his homeland- determined to right the wrongs there with the power he possesses.

Physical Appearance: Lawanda is a young African-American woman who wears her brown hair in dreadlocks. She is typically seen wearing nothing but black.

Relationships: Latoya Murphy / Brown Recluse (mother), Brian Murphy / Shiva (cousin; deceased), Addison Truman / Avian (best-friend; deceased)

Biography: Lawanda Murphy never fit in. Her adoptive parents had four children of their own. She was further ostracized by her African-American heritage; in a predominately white town in Wisconsin, Lawanda stood out. For years, she suffered the ignorance of suburbia; everyone seemed to believe that she must come from a different culture- and that she was the definitive source of information on said culture. As if she didn't have enough on her plate- she had to explain why one day in gym class she suddenly sprouted four extra arms on her torso when she hurried to catch a pop fly ball.

It wasn’t until she was inducted into the New Vindicators Academy of America that she learned of her true heritage. Her mother was a career criminal, currently serving life in Alcatraz. Lawanda was the daughter of the Brown Recluse- a Neo-Sapien with six idle hands to let the devil work with.

Upon her recruitment, Lawanda was given the codename Black Widow (while her officials have stated the name comes from her having eight limbs and not her skin color, Lawanda has her doubts). Once more, she found herself immersed in a world that she didn’t belong to. Many of the students were “pretties”; the manifestation of their powers had in no means disfigured any of them. Dreading that she was now an outcast amongst outcasts, she met Addison Truman and realized there was at least one person who could relate to her.

NEW VINDICATORS: Radix Malorum est Cupiditas—In Addison’s natural form, her hands and feet were tipped with talons and large, feathered wings erupted from her back. Only with the aid of a holographic imaging device could the pair blend in with society and feel remotely normal. Naturally, it didn’t take the two long to become close friends. So close, that Lawanda shared a secret with Addison…

Lawanda had already accepted an invitation to join a clandestine group within the New Vindicators known as the Affiliation. Their army was gathering and when the time was right, they would strike at humanity- repaying decades of persecution. Despite Lawanda’s claims that the world would finally be forced to accept them as they were, Addison wanted nothing to do with the group. She moved to warn the administration… but turned to the wrong people.

In the wake of Addison’s murder, Lawanda seemed relatively unaffected. It was the telepathic Lucas (Psion) Howell who uncovered the truth- gleaming tidbits of knowledge concerning the young woman’s role in the Affiliation and Addison’s death from Lawanda’s cranium. Intending to redeem herself to her dark masters, Lawanda set out to silence Lucas- only to be beaten to the punch by someone posing as Deimos. Still, her involvement was caught on tape. Her cover blown, Lawanda forever left the school and went underground…
She resurfaced again at graduation, grounding Jetstream in their initial attack. Though victorious over the New Vindicators, the Affiliation was shattered in the final moments of their campaign.

NEW VINDICATORS: Memento Mori—Lawanda and her younger cousin were hired by the Wisent to break back into their former school and complicate the life of Lodestone. Though easily incapacitated, the two were given over the guards at Ryker's Island and a rescue attempt was used to lure Loess to the institution. There, Loess encountered the convicted rapist Cole Eibernov and used her powers to end the man's life—effectively destroying her own in the process.

PANDORA (Power Level 10)

Real Name: Pandora Isabella DiMera

Place of Birth: Limassol, Cyprus (September 14, 1979)
First Appearance: Vindicators #553

Biography: Her name is Pandora Isabella DiMera, daughter of the Greek ambassador to the United States. At least, that’s always what she believed… Everything changed on the young girl’s twelfth birthday. Her parents told her that she was adopted; the pair had discovered her on an island in the Mediterranean, cradled in her birth mother’s arms. Such news distressed her and awakened the powers inside. Pandora lost control over the black energy that welled from within her. Her ability tore through the fabric of reality, unleashing a horde of imps upon the world. The demons descended, slaying her parents and rampaging throughout the city.

When she raged out of control it was the Vindicators who stopped her- Crusader led Blacksmith, Detective, Drain, Falkenburg, the Hound and Lodestone into battle against the young girl and it seemed were able to contain the darkness within. Taking Pandora under their protection, they attempted to help her control her inner demons- both figuratively and literally. For a time she truly had become a happy young woman- aided in part to her meeting Natalie Styles, the Vindicator known as Halogen.

Two thirteen-year-old girls and both were members of the earth’s mightiest champions. Pandora honed her teleportation abilities so she could spend more time with her best-friend. The two remained close friends over the years- even after their respective teams disbanded and the Vindicators VII took over on their behalf. It was then that Halogen made the decision to attend med school- to become a veterinarian and Pandora made the decision to be near her. Though an intelligent young woman, she lacked the heart for medicine and eventually dropped out.

When Doctor Styles accepted a position teaching at the New Vindicators Academy, Pandora leapt at the chance to be near her again. It was then that Halogen realized that Pandora’s feelings went beyond friendship- ambushed by Pandora’s passionate kiss. The young woman took the initiative, explaining herself and setting the boundaries for their friendship. Not wanting to risk losing Natalie from her life, Pandora lied and said she could accept being just friends.

NEW VINDICATORS #12
Under the promise that Adonis' powers could make Halogen love her, Pandora pledged to help Rift in any way she could during the Affiliation's early days. She recruited many of the students to their side- including Loess during the winter trip to Japan. Ultimately she left the group upon learning that Rift had murdered the object of her desires. The Vindicators began hunting for the woman, now mad with grief, and found clues that suggested the woman was seeking an arcane means of reviving Doctor Natalie Styles once more.

NEW VINDICATORS #17
Her journey was cut short when she was abducted by her father, Abaddon. Abaddon also reclaimed his daughter Evangeline, the mother of his twin sons, Deimos and Phobos. Realizing that Nephilim born to a Nephilim are indeed more powerful than the average Nephilim, Abaddon sought to repeat the process with Pandora. Using his powers to appear as Halogen, he made love to his own daughter and impregnated her... leaving one to wonder what hellish being will come from Pandora's womb...

Biography: Addison Truman was a good girl. Growing up on the Princess Bride and her world was filled of dreams of marriage and fairy princesses; it was a storybook fantasy- impenetrable to the threat of reality banging on the door.

Her mother had died giving birth to her and her twin sister, Madison. Her father never suspected that the woman he had fallen so helplessly in love with was a Neo-Sapien- nor that she would pass on her genetic gifts to her daughter. Addison’s abilities triggered one day at school when she had climbed the roof to feed the birds the physical science class caged up for their studies in aviation. When she slipped and fell from the roof, her life flashed before her eyes. Equally blessed and cursed with great feathered wings erupting from her back, Addison Truman’s body had only begun its transformation into her avian form. Her eyesight was becoming more birdlike. Her feet and hands were developing into talons. Unlike her mother she could not control the transformation- she was cursed with the appearance of an avian and in a world where humanity hates Neo-Sapiens, she became a caged bird.

It wasn’t until meeting Quinton Jorgenson, the child genius known as Quint, that she was allowed to live a normal life. Given what Quinton dubbed the Morph Buckle, a sheer hologram masked her appearance. She had to be careful in public- in case someone bumped into her now invisible wings. Still, she loved it. She was able to go to a normal high school and have normal friends.

Unfortunately, one of those friends was Lawanda Murphy, the multi-appendaged girl known as Black Widow. Lawanda had been recruited into the Affiliation and she wanted to share that with her only friend. Disturbed by the knowledge of the Affiliation’s true ambitions, Avian turned to her advisors- unfortunately telling a teacher already tapped by the very villains she was snitching on. The order was given to silence the young girl before she could tell the RIGHT people and Addison was suffocated in her sleep- ending both her life and career as a New Vindicator.

Everything changed the day that a bully stole his sketchbook. What started out as taunting turned to violence when Daniel drew his tennis racket. The scrawny youth was far from being threatening and his tormentor used the opportunity to teach Daniel a lesson in pain…

Daniel didn’t flinch from the punch… but the blow broke the hoodlum’s hand. Biography: Most of the Vindicators under his command simply believed that the Aurelius had cast a spell over John and Diane Styles. They couldn’t rationalize any other explanation for why the two would allow their 13-year-old daughter to risk her life traversing the world with a group of super-heroes, fighting the good fight against tyranny, injustice, and chaos.

Doctor S. Orpheus White was a thinking man and as such he realized if his team of Vindicators was going to succeed they would need an ace in the hole. He had learned of Natalie Style’s ability to warp and refract light through his mystical mediums. Natalie was a young girl blessed with an uncanny ability buried deep within her catalogue of powers. Using light, Natalie was able to heal almost any injury or malady.

As time passed the Aurelius taught the young hero more about her abilities- most of which came from his own theory. Under his instruction Natalie learned to turn herself invisible (by refracting light around her body) and how to see various portions of the spectrum- giving her vision various “settings”. She was grateful for his tutelage… but it was no replacement for the loss of her childhood.

Time on the battlefield forced Natalie to grow up fast and despite the age gap between her and her companions she was able to relate to each of them. The trouble was few saw past her age. In their downtime Aurelius and Phenomena began to date and Lodestone was occupied with his wife and son. Oynx began to date a civilian and Halogen was left with one companion… the archer known as Nock.

The two developed a friendship out of their status as kindred spirits… but the loneliness in Nock’s own heart soon embroiled the rest of him. He found himself tormented by romantic thoughts of his junior teammate- her a teenager and him an adult. Haunted by his growing infatuation with Halogen, Nock left the team. It was a chain reaction that led to the disbanding of that team of Vindicators and the birth of Natalie Style’s life.

She continued her education- eventually becoming a doctor of veterinary medicine. She had rationalized that animals didn’t suffer from prejudice and would not mind a Neo-Sapien using her powers to heal them- nor would they betray her new-found identity amongst civilians. Ultimately her longing to help young Neo-Sapiens through the period she herself had struggled through had brought her back around to the Vindicators- this time as an educator. She became one of the first teachers at the New Vindicators Academy of America- becoming more than an instructor to most of her pupils but a friend and confidant.

Biography: Perpetually in a foster-home-flux, Jennifer Bordeaux always had a mean streak. When she was six-years-old her parents were found operating a meth lab and she hadn’t seen them since. Ever attempting to appear tough-as-nails, she made out as if she couldn’t have cared less about them… but the truth is she thought they could answer a few questions… such as how to control her growing Neo-Sapien abilities.

At fifteen she found herself in the care of two people who were less than open-minded. Society would label the last foster family she had as bigots- unable to accept her for the pyrokinetic abilities she displayed. Ultimately, she left them and took up residence on the streets of New York. It was there that she began to learn to better control her abilities… and there that she thought she had found her destiny.

As Singe, she joined up with the Bisons- a group of seven SPBs under the leadership of the mysterious criminal kingpin known as the Wisent. The group began to defuse around the time of Deimos' defection however, allowing the others to drift away and become engaged in other battles...

Dispatched by the Affiliation’s earliest incarnation, she and Lazarus were used to test the abilities of Amalgam and Tripper. The pair failed to best their opponents and were rescued by Blitzkrieg. The duo’s failure was overlooked and they remained on with the clandestine team. When the Affiliation’s ultimate goals were shattered by the New Vindicators, Singe and Lazarus returned to the streets.

They were instead hired on by Noah Meinstein, employing Neo-Sapiens to commit crimes as a means of drawing out ZERO and Portal. Once more Singe found herself facing the New Vindicators- this time being bested by Kiln and Jetstream. Since then, she has remained in police custody- biding time until her next big move…

Biography: Dominic Udall embraced the thug lifestyle. Growing up in Harlem, he and his elder brother Troy watched their father struggle to make ends meet. They watched their mom fight to put food on the table. They watched as two good people wrestled with the system and got no where. They watched and they learned…

At seventeen- and sixteen-year-old, the Udall brothers dropped out of high school and joined the Red Razors, a gang notorious for the most illicit deeds the streets had ever known. They were lured by the promises offered by the lucre and saw it as their way to rise above the challenges their parents faced. The boys got a taste of what they could get and they wanted more…

Troy made his bid for power, attempting to usurp leadership of the Razors from Dawson Massey. The Razors’ loyalty ran deeper than he expected and as a warning to any else who might suffer from delusions of grandeur the Udall brothers were executed. Troy died that day… but Dominic survived, largely in part to the manifestation of his Neo-Sapien powers. His flesh and organs moved to knit itself back together, spitting the bullets out and stitching back his flesh as good as new.

Thoughts of revenge were pushed from his mind; Dominic wasn’t willing to see how far his new-found abilities could be pushed. However those abilities did make him the perfect candidate for the Bisons- a group of seven SPBs united under a crimelord to force the criminal world into submission. Together the band succeeded in creating a criminal empire under the Wisent's rule and after the defection of Deimos, the others began to slowly drift apart- intimidated by how far Bogart had been willing to go against one of their own. It was during this time that he and Singe found themselves working with the Affiliation in its early stages.

The duo encountered Amalgam and Tripper and were quickly defeated. The two showed their lack of loyalty, almost revealing Rift's status amongst the team to the couple, and were subsequently expelled from the group.

NEW VINDICATORS #19
Lazarus surfaced next when he attacked the 137th precinct, only to run into the New Vindicators Hourglass and Frostbite. His regenerative powers too much for either, Frostbite used his own abilities to snare the man in ice and turn him over to authorities.

Biography: Quinton Jorgenson is the son of Richard Jorgenson and his wife Sylvia Li-Jorgenson, both former costumed villains who turned over a new leaf and served on the Vindicators VII. Ultimately, both lost much in their final mission. In their battle against Atlas, the morphing Chimera lost his right arm at the elbow and the Chinese native Xianbei lost much more- her lifeless form was discovered by their teammate Rift shortly after the team was separated in Atlas’ Himalayan base.

At the time, Quinton was only 12-years-old, living peacefully at the Vindicators Plaza in New York City. He rushed at the news that the Vendetta had returned and was shocked to see a transformed Onyx snarling at the media hounds. Learning that his father was in critical condition and his mother’s life had been claimed, Quinton regressed into the library the plaza housed and devoured book after book.

Through his bizarre grieving process, Quinton assimilated knowledge- mostly in the areas of technology. However, he refused to speak to anyone. Sheltered in his self-imposed loneliness for years, his powers finally manifested- oddly unrelated to either parent’s power matrix. His powers manifested out of necessity- spawning a companion he could speak with and tell everything to. Over time, Quinton emerged from his shell and attempted to rebuild the shattered family Atlas had sundered.

Quinton was not the only one left alone after Atlas’ attack. His son grieving and his mate gone, Chimera was lost to a terrible depression and has since suffered from a terrible insomnia. A bitter and stern individual, he is hardly the loving parent Quinton recalls. Though there is no doubt he loves his son very much, he shows it in a different way these days.

Quinton has been forced to raise himself over the last five years, all the while watching his father with a level of worry that leaves stress knotted up in his gut. A loving son and a child genius, Quinton has attempted to give his father a new purpose in life by pushing him to become one of the teachers for the New Vindicators. It was an act that not only saved Chimera, but saved the boy as well. It was in moving to New York that he was able to develop friends other than his duplicates- friends like David Noguchi and Cloud Goodman; still, it is David Meinstein who Quinton is perhaps closest to. The young Meinstein, heir to the technological empire that is Patriot Robotics, was Quinton’s door to his dreams- having long desired employment at the corporation upon his graduation.

NEW VINDICATORS #3
Chimera revealed the truth about the Ragnarok and the Affiliation to Quinton and explained its situation to the young man; the faculty was looking to Chimera as the prime suspect in multiple murders; if Quinton were claimed as the next victim it may have helped to shift the attention from him. Quinton agreed to disappear but didn't know the lengths his parent would go to: Chimera killed again, murdering Quinton's friend Cloud and using holograms to make the corpse appear as Quinton's.

NEW VINDICATORS #11-12
Quinton revealed his status amongst the living to his friend David Meinstein in the midst of the Affiliation's attack. He helped to coordinate the Outcast's counter-strike, teaming up with Ion (Lucas Howell in Katie Merrick's body), Gumshoe (David Meinstein), Captain Canada, Sarah Anderson and one of Lodestone's duplicates.

Exposed as still dwelling amongst the living, the New Vindicators Academy offered him a possition amongst the graduates. Quinton declined, instead following David Meinstein as the young man co-founded Hub Enterprises. Together with David's brother Daniel (Blitzkrieg) the would-be heroes moved to take down the enemies the Vindicators were neglecting.
