Skimming through the PDF right now and there is a lot of good stuff just in the first chapter. Designed for villains, a lot of the stuff I've seen so far can be highly useful to heroes as well. Great PDF and I can't wait to give it a complete reading through.

Yep, when the content as a whole is looked at it's certainly a tool kit for building villains to toss at your characters, but a lot of it is just as useful for characters (such as the arsenal of new traits, gear, and headquarters info.)

And you really weren't kidding that you'd rush out to get it. You were the first customer on any of the storefronts it's on sale at!

If you've the time, would you mind letting everyone know what you think of the book through the storefront's review function?

Hey Steve and everyone else. Just wanted to chime in and say how much of a neat experience working on BMT was. I'm sure, based on the previews I've seen so far that it will be sure to satisfy

I love the artwork in this, so evocative and showing what things look like. I will work on a review after I'm finished reading the PDF, only on chapter 2 right now. [Had to finish reading two other PDFs I got before starting on this one.]

Also going to send any errata I can find, so far found a few things off in Chapter 1.

The idea of new powers always interests me greatly - could you say what they are (just names, of course)? Also, for people who have the book/PDF, how do they balance compared to UP? Finally, it says the new skills are compatible with Superior Synergy - is that book needed to use the new skills properly/to their fullest?

The powers are very balanced compared to UP and a few of them are actually recreated from there. Deathtouch and Disease, Super Senses [Psychometry] and Variable Power are in there for the sake of completeness. Enhanced Feat, Enhanced Skill and Enhanced Save are all in here with some new Power Feats, Extras and Flaws to make them more versitile. Marksmen and Weapon Master, two powers that make anyone who has them deadly and highly skilled with either ranged weapons [Marksmen] or melee weapons [Weapon Master], with several power feats for each to expand on them and a flaw for each to limit them to certain categories of weapons.

And the skills in the book don't need the Superior Synergy PDF to use them, the details of how Superior Synergy works with each of the skills is included in the PDF.

Yeah, some of the powers are small reprints put there because some items in the book use them, so it's for your convenience, while some are new and others (Marksman and Weapons Master) are updated from 1e and expanded on. The powers section is relatively small however--power creation is most expanded on by the large arsenal of new extras, flaws and power drawbacks included.

Yeah, it is his company who are doing that. Even has an advertisement on one of the last few pages of the PDF showing the cover and saying it's coming out next year.
