I agree. I got into this game just before 2e came out. I bought 1e, not realizing the new one was coming, but having it played some sessions with some buds. Very fun. I then was all excited about 2e, bought it and tried to run a game with it. It was far more rules-oriented than the first one and lea...

Thanks for awesome ideas! Plot device is where I am heading but I wanted to give it some realistic saves and such because it is also a kind of trap. The whole situation the heroes are going to deal with are bad guys made up of good people. In one example it is people mind-controlled the old fashione...

A Device that Possesses people

Howdy! I am trying to create a villain's device that when picked up endows the user with powers but also makes them do horrible things. Kind of like Thor's Hammer in the comics but instead of making one into a kindly God of Thunder it makes one do head bashing on those around you. I was thinking of ...

I just have to add my kudos. I am prepping for a game on Monday and have been blowing through character creation with this thing. I makes creating a lot of top level bad guys and NPC's a breeze. Well done. I look forward to continued success with this!

The subject however isn't about someone removing their own limbs its about you removing someone else's limbs with the power. Good point! Soon as I saw the thread title I went to Stubbs and Fallapartguy. This actually does have a cool version in comics, too. In Waid's "JLA: Year One" there was a bad...

I know he has changed, now, but you could go into some cool character bits for this. A guy that can't feel pain can't feel pleasure...run with it! A guy who can't be touched by anything could include good food, a friendly companion, a comfortable bed, whatever. The reason I bring this up is they dea...

Wouldn't his max damage be +20 with the PL limit even with full on swapping going on? I still am learning the rules on this so I had to check. Still, this is awesome. Can also be a comic book villain, too...Gograh from the Top Ten comics is basically a drunk, abusive father who also is a giant radio...

This sounds like the new Xbox game Stubbs the Zombie. Stubbs has removable limbs that he uses to a) control people (using detatched hand) and b) blow up people ( I think he throws regenerating organs as explosives...and even can bowl with his head). This reminds me of a character in an old Legion of...

Cheat Sheets? Anyone?

Howdy! I am getting into 2e and preparing to run my first campaign in it. One thing I most miss from the 1e book is the Index that combined a ton of the relevant charts, lists and such. This was nice to have for quick reference and making a few copies since we have only one book for the entire group...

What would make it a fun and not Twinkish character has already been modeled in comics, too. Ultra Boy (I think he was called) was in Legion of Superheroes and he had the ability to use all of the Superman like powers (invulnerability, strength, speed, flight) but he could only use one at a time. It...

Like most 1e questions, it goes unanswered. We played a bit last night and just used the existing rules as written, except that you flew even if you made your damage save. The thought was if you were hit successfully that means you were struck, even if you didn't take any damage. This happens all th...

Perhaps his reincarnation has a twist? One life, he's good. The next, evil. The next, good again. Back and forth through time, half the time crushing all who oppose him, the other helping all who are in need. If not, I am totally doing this. I was thinking along the same lines and love it! Would be...

These are great ideas! I love the Jury Duty, ala "Ex Machina." That would be a fun storyline in and of itself. The heroes are all "coincidentally" added to the jury of a big super villain who is on trial. They have to really play the heroic types, too. Do they say he is guilty even if the prosecutio...

Knockback without damage

Howdy! I am just getting started with the M&M system (and I look to be starting again with 2.0 if it sounds like a good deal of improvement) but until that time, I had a question for this side of the forum. In reading the Knockback rule, a person has to be hit and fail his damage save by a certain a...
