Question regarding the new forums: One advantage of these forums is that we constantly have the ability to edit our threads no matter how old the post was. It's especially useful for those of us with ongoing topics that want to edit the initial post, include links to posts of importance within the t...

Megaverse: The Animated Series
http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img845/4971/ng8j.jpg Medium Sized , Full Sized As anyone whose read my Mean Streets of Magic setting is aware, I'm a huge crossover junkie. I just love having heroes who normally don't interact come together to thwart evil, fight each other, or just talk to one anoth...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?
Pre-Crisis there was two or three instances of enough electrical energy being able to transform a Marvel Family member, but it was pretty isolated. Post Crisis, the only one to suffer that was Freddy, and that was apparently due to his powers being weaker due to coming from Cap rather than Shazam. A...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?
Leave it to Avengers: EMH to combine the two most classic versions of Carol's suits into an amalgam that fans of either design can recognize and think, "Hey...that's pretty cool!" Why exactly does that show not exist anymore? Oh yeah...Jeph Loeb. /hops off soap box and skuttles into a corner to wee...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?
As for Carol's outfit, it doesn't really look bad until she puts on the mohawk helmet, like Stormson said. At the same time, I don't think it looks really good or iconic compared to the other outfits she's had. The coloring and placement reminds me too much of Miracle Man's outfit. Her black outfit ...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?
I'm here to claim my bonus points. I also read the posts that followed and (for what it's worth) I agree with every word of what you posted. I particularly liked this snippet: Aw, thanks MM. Nice to know I'm not alone in my thoughts. Really, the things DC has done to Captain Marvel is lik...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?
There was an IGN article that asked the very same question, one that I got heavily involved in. Rather than go on a multi-post rant on the topic, you can find a lot of my thoughts on the matter here: http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/why-is-captain-marvel-shazam-as-unpopular-as-he-is.452957113/ This...

Re: Jab's Builds: Woodgod, Beetle II, Roadkill, Fantastic Fo
I wonder if the Power Broker's fate wasn't some kind of jab at the over-muscled heroes of the era, showcasing what the actual results of that physique would be to the person with it. "YES! Incredible superhuman strength! Oh God, I can't move!" As for the Clan Destine, that was a fun book as well, at...

Re: Justice League: War
The following are some example strength placements based on where I would put the characters based on my own “what should they have” philosophy. Class 00 – Class 01 – Aunt May, Dr. Sivana, the Leader, Molecule Man Class 02 – The Riddler, Scarecrow Class 03 – Alfred, Felix Faust, Jarvis Class 04 – An...

Re: Justice League: War
And since we're talking strength rankings now, here's a system I came up with for various fictional characters. This system will include rankings for both normal humans and augmented superhumans. One thing to note about this system is that Lifting Strength and Comparative Strength scale differently....
